Carmac one of the key figures who helped turn gaming into esports. Before the stages and the cameras, he was part of the Unreal Tournament community a place where passion, rivalry, and raw competition shaped the future. His journey from fragging to founding is one of the most authentic stories in esports history.

Imagine this - the ability to play your favourite arena shooter game... IN BROWSER, no download needed!
It's not an invite only closed beta from 2008, but apparently a Docker container.

I put together a prototype for an online multiplayer FPS game which revolves around real world factions and divisions.
Obviously everything would look a lot better with dedicated talent, but the main idea behind it was to have a game where players align to their real world alliances and do battle against their real world enemies.
I don't know if anything will come of it, its just something I wanted to put out there as I worked on it in my spare time.
My main question is, and trolling aside, do you like the idea of playing a game where your team mates are people you are aligned with in the real world on big world issues and your opposition are people who you dislike?
And of course it would have FFA type things too, but it makes more sense as a team game.
It really daunting looking at the visual quality of games like BF6, but its 400 million dollar game with about 6,000 staff.
I'm personally bored of so many games these days, so I wanted to bypass legacy rulesets for how games are made.
Arbitrary teams and factions etc, that don't really mean much, and bring in low level emotions and then build a game around that.
I would concur if this would be the prize for the "lowest elo that could enter the contest". Yet, I like fazz's decission making as in going for lg ammo and then rocketing his way back as a surprise for tox.
feels like those cephero frags aren't his bestest, can't provide links but from my memory he did crazy with rockets (as usual) and there is none of this, well mb, i'm mistaken cause of some post-dh cups, but c'mon cypher and no rl frag in frag contest? something's wrong here :)
Maybe it's just because I think I've seen every sort of shot that is possible over the past 15 years, but unfortunately I don't really see anything that's super amazing. BUT, I voted for Gory #2. That sort of shot is pretty cool because its the type of shot that you just "feel" out, and it's pretty sweet. Gienon #1 was pretty good just cause of the sheer confidence, but everyone knows how insane LAN plasma is.
Here's a description of each frag to help you remember which one was your favourite when you've seen all of them. Maybe even add this to the first post (feel free to edit)? (EDIT: Whoops, I missed a few)
Twister 1 - Rail on Ph4ntom after stairs teleport exit + chase and tiny angle impressive on Blood Run
Twister 2 - Splash rocket, a bounce rocket to frag with a 3rd one, an air rocket against Ph4ntom on Blood Run while hopping over to RA
Cypher 1 - nice twitch rail to impossible around the corner rail against DaHang on Toxicity
Cypher 2 - surprising rocket jump across the mega walkway to catch Rapha on Aerowalk
Cypher 3 - several bursts of lg followed by tele rail on a Rapha about to collect mega on Toxicity
Killsen 1 - air rocket to another near rocket to mg finish at the beginning of Sinister against DaHang
Killsen 2 - lg fight, falls down below mega platform but hits a rail that pushes DaHang OVER the mega, follow-up of another rail for the frag in match against DaHang on Furious Heights
Fazz - nice lg followed by an rj and a direct from mid-flight to prevent Tox getting down to red before him on Furious Heights
Ph4ntom 1 - two mid-range rockets + amazing prediction rocket on Spartie about to peek down on the mega area on Sinister
Ph4ntom 2 - two rails on freshly spawned Spartie on Toxicity, the other one onto the lg from bottom yellow tele exit
Ph4ntom 3 - two bounce rockets + air rocket combo on Spartie on Cure
Gienon 1 - a drop-off raining 13 bolts of 75% plasma to massacre Sting on Blood Run
Gienon 2 - massive lg damage with a drop-down rail finish on Furious Heights against Sting
Luukets - a pair of 'nades with a rail finisher to greatly amuse Detrony on Blood Run
Gory 1 - playing Kronic on Lost World and taking a frag with a splash rocket and a direct one from RA to bridge
Gory 2 - leaping down off an upper walkway to catch a veeery tight angle on an escaping Kronic
Gory 3 - a flurry of plasma and a close-range rocket on Killsen fumbling for the mega on Toxicity
Kronic - air rocket to a heavy barrage of lg for an unlikely frag on Camma on Furious Heights
also
Twister 1 - Rail after stairs teleport exit + chase and tiny angle impressive on bloodrun
Twister 2 - Splash rocket, then lift him with another rocket to frag with a 3rd air rocket ond bloodrun
Man, I owe you some apologies. I talked to a few people and they say it's actually weird to add entries when a poll is half-way through. I understand their point of view, and the only solution I can see here would be to start a new poll including the entries you found. However, I feel like these awards have been going for a while already, so it's better to call it a day and keep what we have. What sucks it's that I asked for this, and then I don't include it. My bad.
Voting for luukets (could be cypher with that frag on tox vs rapha).
