After only just beating roffo in the top 16 I had doubts haymo was going to even take a map away from Koredx. I think haymo's strong start and consistent control through his dm6 lead put a real dent in Kore's enthusiasm in the following maps. Haymo has drastically improved since the start of this competition, but I fear that Zlr is too all-rounded to compete against. In control, out of control, bad spawn, good spawn zlr just plays the right cards at the right time. Even after speaking to zlr not feeling as confident as he was taking on last seasons winner Zenaku fears his knowledge of Haymo's playing style is still a little under what he would like it to be. zlr to win 3-1

This match is way too unpredictable for anybody to try and put a correct guess on, unfortunately both players have been having great games and then just good games. Nomey is yet to lose a map in the tournament, but this does mean it cannot be done. New Zealand's last hope as seen here a lot of people's wages are weighing on this match. On the other side of the fence Pathe had a much tougher run to get into this position. Beating New Zealand under dog Chv last week only dropping one map on ZTN by two frags to the quarter finalist. Pathe's streak is just as impressive, and history has shown that the player who performs better on the day will be victorious. Pathe/Nomey to win but 3-2 map scores

Can you recall what obstacles you had to overcome before taking your game to the professional level and how you approached fixing or bettering them?

Chance: I remember timing being one important hurdle I had to better understand then overcome in my game-play. Kronos, a friend, rival, and former top player in North America, taught me invaluable information on timing and the usefulness of understanding it all. I learned how to position myself by watching his demos/recordings and I ended up building a more 'aim-heavy' style to my movement.

On a side note, I know many aspiring gamers are finding there aren't many worthwhile 'skill enhancement' guides to Quake. Very few professional players offer advice and the available lessons found throughout the internet are often outdated and useless in competition. I'm looking to change this by writing a guide in the near future on this subject which should help players build their own strategy in-game. Ideally, I'd like to provide to other aspiring gamers tools that I just didn't have available when I was first taking Quake seriously, but that can also help them advance in their skill at a measurable speed.
