Another year and another Qcon gallery. This years gallery is a little smaller than normal as I didnt take as many pics this time round. This was mainly due to having two roles at the event, both for iTG and working for a TV company on a documentary at the same time.

Never the less, I thought it would be nice if I at least put up these shots.

Grapevine last year was kinda in the middle of nowhere, so the downtown area of Dallas being close by this time, made things a lot easier for everyone to get out and have some fun.

The Bring Your Own Computer area is always a crazy sight at quakecon and although there were less seats this year, it was still the craziest area of the whole event.

It needs a sign which reads "Warning : Enter at your own risk and with a sense of humour".

I spent a fair time speaking to both these guys over the weekend and both were looking forward to playing some Q3 at CPL, but for now they had to concentrate on Quake 4. Neither of them had a truly succesful weekend.

Now we know why he rocks, he looks at other peoples screens!!!

Simply put, Tox was on fire at quakecon and never lost a single map, either in the 2v2 (with Ztrider) or in the 1v1 and went home with a healthy bank balance.

Out of about 3000 people, Rafik's name was randomly pulled out of the hat to play in the "mystery 1v1 shootout" from Nvidia for $1000.

Waiting to get going in the lower bracket final were Crossfire and KiH. It proved to be possible the best match of any tournament at Quakecon 2006.

He might be laughing, but the 1v1 didnt go as well as in previous tournaments. His 2v2 partnership with destrukt however, at least took down the FPO duo of Fatal1ty and Stermy.
