Corvid-19 related post. I've started watching some old QL matches on YouTube recently while I've had the time and I'm just wondering what I've missed in the latest 5-10 years? What are some of the best replays on YouTube?

Moving out in 3 weeks, will need to sort broadband soon... what's better, 100mb Virgin or 60mb FTOC from Sky? I don't play much quake, but when I do I don't want a warpy connection.
If Virgin's shit, is there an alternative to Sky which is better?

So I'm getting my own place next month and won't have space for a huge desk/pc setup. I will need the money for a decent laptop and things for the house.
How much is my PC worth?
i7 2600k @ ~£177 (found used price online)
mobo + 8gb ram (guessing around £70)
gtx 560ti @ £70?
case (corsair 600T) @ £100 (£130 new)
500gb @ £30
So around £400ish? Does that sound right?
I will also need to sell 2 x 2233rz + stand £50 for stand (was £100 new).
I have a 128gb ssd but will save that for the laptop, and they're only £50 now-a-days.
It's all pretty much mint condition, all probably less than a year old.
After the week from hell (our server getting hacked and basically having to move 30+ wordpress sites to another server) Friday finished with a bang.
Maybe not a bang, but certainly a wollop.
Firstly, a little background... I've been at my job for 6 months and 5 days and I can honestly say I'm a much better web developer than I was when I began. There is however, another.
She began her job almost exactly 12 months ago, coming from another web development firm whilst finishing her "degree". During my first month I relied on her and the other developers downstairs (who work for a separate part of the business) tremendously whilst I got the hang of wordpress and how things were done.
I soon realised she may not be as dependable as I hoped. In the following months, projects we worked on became more complex and I surpassed her abilities.
More recently, she has become too dependent upon me helping her fix simple issues. Sadly she hasn't even grasped the the most basic understanding of IF statements, regardless of my fruitless tuition.
Today, whilst helping her fix an issue, she broke down in tears. The challenge had overwhelmed her and she finally broke down. I have to admit i'm not a great teacher, sometimes I can get frustrated and maybe my voice gives it away, but this was not one of those times. Without directly asking her I will not know.
However, this is something I had actually had seen coming and can only see one of two outcomes.
She will:
a) Quit out of frustration
b) Inevitably get fired through consistent poor performance.
The question I put to you ESR is, what can I do to help her?

Since I have a 2 hour commute per day, I've been listening to audio books to make the drive a little less shit.
So far I've listened to:
A Song of Ice and Fire (1-5) - Read the books a year ago, but wanted to enjoy it again before season 3 aired.
Dunk + Egg (Aeg) (1-3) - Really enjoyed these, definitely recommended.
The Hobbit - I can't wait for the rest of the films now.
Next on my list is Enders Game, but that will be done in a week or two so I need some ideas? I'm possibly thinking World War Z?
So I haven't made a journal since I got a job at the start of the year. Maybe some of you have noticed, maybe not.
In January I started a 6 month apprenticeship as front end designer, or whatever you call setting up WordPress templates and editing them to our customers liking.
After 4 months, I was vastly more experienced than my predecessor (who had a 6 months head start) and was doing bespoke designs on top of WordPress. Having recognised this, my manager argued my case to the director and had me upgraded to a full salary as a junior developer, a full two months before my apprenticeship should have finished.
At present, I'm doing more bespoke solutions on the back of WordPress and will soon be managing the ever growing team I work with.
In the future, I hope to be working towards developing sites with Magento and our own CMS, whether it be front end or back, I'm not quite sure. Though I much prefer working with the back-end of WordPress right now.
On a different note, I have been following the Jamerio threads and only have one thing to say: HippY > Jamerio.

It's been a long time since I wrote a personal journal so here goes.
After leaving my shitty sales job last July, I spent the summer studying web design / development whilst looking for a role in this field. I also spent it in the garden drinking beer and reading :-)
After having zero success applying for jobs, in December I decided to send my CV and portfolio to web design agencies in the Midlands. Within half an hour of doing this, I got a call from an agency (in Birmingham) who had an apprenticeship position open. The next day I went and had an interview and they promptly offered me the job.
Being a considerable distance from where I currently live, commuting in my Golf GTI would be rather expensive. So I promptly sold it (to be honest, it had a few annoying habits so I was glad to be rid of it) and ended up buying a VW Lupo 1.7 SDI which does 60+ mpg and the road tax only cost £30 a year (v.s. ~£240 for my golf).
I started last Wednesday and did my first 3 days of actual work in several months... I found the work enjoyable and work with people much smarter than myself (which can only be a good thing for improving my skill set). I now have to decide which area I want to concentrate on so after my apprenticeship (of 6 months) has finished they can employee me within that position.
// that pretty much sums up the last 6 months of my life (and that's quite sad)

While browsing reddit I always see animals I'd like to own in the future, I figured I'd make a list.
1. Dog - Not sure on breed, though reddit has brain washed me to like corgi's, especially corgi mixes.
2. Fish - Clown fish, my dentist used to have a couple but got rid of them, I could watch these all day.
3. Snake - Having owned snakes before, I've always wanted a Boa Constrictor (red tail) or Ball Python.
4. Parrot - No explanation required.

Anyone playing TL2? I played last night for a few hours as a female engineer (who I called "boobs", as usual) + wolf, really enjoying it so far (level 15ish so far), but hope to play more today/this weekend.
[edit] I originally posted about my monitor, seems it was a brightness problem.

I never played the original CS competitively or for longer than a few months, Q3 was more fun back then.. But I did enjoy the game, so yesterday I went a head and purchased CS:GO since it was only £10...
I played for about 4 hours and found it enjoyable, but not much different than the original apart from slightly better graphics.
I also noticed a few problems:
1) Auto disconnecting due to connection problem (happened several times)
2) Crashed to desktop once
3) Lost connection to server (while trying to join)
I've always had this idea for a frag movie, I'll try and explain how it would work.
Basically it would be set on 1 map with the frag clips editted together (maybe with some morphing fx) so it looked like one continuous POV.
Let's imagine the map was ZTN, the first clip is a frag from the initial spawn at say RA, he jumps down to mega .. now we edit in the second frag at mega from another demo.. after frag he runs towards RL, now we edit in another frag at RL, and so on and so forth.
The final output would be an awesome game of ZTN :)
The same technique could also be applied to any gametype, as long as the the next frag starts from the same place the previous one finished.
Probably is a lot of work but I'm sure it's possible.

It's been a while since I last wrote a journal, here goes.
Work
I handed in my 1 month notice at my current job and finish on Friday. I've got enough money saved to pay my bills for the next 6 months. During this time I'm going to study and get my portfolio sorted, in the hope I can apply for and get a job as a Junior Developer (or similar). Should I run out of time and money, I will probably have to go back in to sales, which is the worst case scenario.
Life
What spurred me on to quit my job was the fact I've been there for nearly 3 years with little to no pay rise or advancement. Staying another year would only be another wasted. Working in sales since I left school has only been something I fell in to. Now I have some idea what I want to do with my life, I have to try. I'm tired of being well behind my peers. Though they say you shouldn't compare yourself to other people, it's hard not to. I consider it good motivation to try and improve my life.
Game of Thrones
I got a Kindle in May and immediately began reading Game of Thrones. I've read the first 3 books and am someway through the 4th. While it's still enjoyable to read, I'm not finding the 4th as enthralling as the 3rd but I'm sure as the new characters stories develop, it will get more interesting.
Books
Since GOT will only probably take me another week or two to finish, I would like some suggestions as what to read next. I'm thinking of starting with the greats (old and new) since I've never really been a "reader". What do you suggest? I'm thinking something along the lines of LOTR or Sherlock Homes, etc.

My parents are moving to Cyprus in a year or so (when their house is built).. and I'm not sure if I should move with them or not (they would like me to).
Positives:
Weather, beach, bikini's etc
More relaxed & healthier lifestyle
Greater business opportunities (less competition)
Skiing in the Winter
Negatives:
Most jobs are tourism based
Wages are low
No friends
No career
Possibly becoming lazy and doing nothing with my life
Poor Internet (1mbs is the average)
Everything's expensive (thanks Euro)
I guess most of the negatives can be resolved by starting a business of my own.
What to do..
I should add that if I stay I will be getting my own house (morgage).

On Friday it was my brothers wedding, I was an usher but didn't really have to do much apart from run around sorting the odd thing out and giving out order of service booklets.
I ended up getting massively drunk and dancing like a fool (whilst trying to pull all the ladies) in front of most of my family and brothers friends.. (Insert "Oh God Why" meme here).
Didn't really do much the rest of the weekend, other than play some bf3 and watch tele & reddit.
I did do a bit of web development.. I'm doing a blog/portfolio/profile sort of thing.. Each time I complete a small project in either MVC or Web Forms, I'll upload it and create a post about it. Each post/project will count as a point or "experience"... The result should be some sort of development RPG profile that shows what experience I have.
I should be done in a few days, I'll post a screenshot or something then.
1) Amsterdam is nice, it's a death trap though, lots of bikes/trams/cars wizzing past you all the time
2) Lots of hot prostitutes, didn't visit any though
3) Dutch birds are hot & tall(er than me)
4) On of my brothers mates asked a hot waitress (an American girl called Morgan) who she'd hypothetically fuck out of the 12 of us, she said me! :)
5) Went to a brewery (the windmill one), tried a few different beers.. everyone was pretty fucked by the time we left.
Had yesterday off work to recover, spent the entire day playing (and finished) Mass Effect 3..

So next friday I'm off to Amsterdam (for the first time) for my brothers stag party with 11 of his friends. We're staying near the Van Gogh museum.
Few questions:
1) What's the local beer or good beers to try while I'm there?
2) Where are some good places to go? Bars, pubs, clubs, fun places etc.
3) What times do places (bars/clubs etc) tend to close?
4) What's the red light district actually really like?

Anyone played this yet?
I tried it over the weekend (after finally finishing ME2, what a cool ending?!) single player was ok but I really enjoyed multiplayer. It was a shame I got so many disconnects though, I have the same problem with BF3 so I guess there's things I need to try before I call it the games fault :[

As you may or may not know, I'm learning ASP.NET MVC (and web forms).. Whilst I've done a fair amount of studying, I don't have much practical experience.
I'm planning on doing something like 1 website a week..then upload them as I go.
So guys, I need web app ideas.
Ideas so far:
1st) Blog
2nd) Quiz (of some subject like Astronomy maybe)
3rd) Portal
4th) Homo much?
[edit] I don't plan on doing much design, so no static websites please :)

I'm currently teaching myself ASP.NET & MVC in my spare time, mainly because I would like to get a job developing e-commerce sites one day. During this experience, I hope to create an online shop myself. I had intended the theme to be an E-Sport / Gaming hardware store, selling mice, keyboards, mouse mats etc.
Currently I work in sales for a company that imports products from the far east and distributes them throughout Europe. I trawl the internet looking for possible companies that may be interested in our products. This turns up 100's of similar stores, which seemly do ok out of it (some more than others).
This leads me to believe there is still a little something out there for the little guys.
So now I'm thinking, is it actually possible to run the site I create as a business? But :
Can I compete? Price is key, I'm not sure i'll be able to compete with the likes of Amazon/Play etc on some products, but I'd hope to find/sell products which are harder (rare) to find in the UK/Europe.
Could I pay my rent? It really boils down what the profits are on such products, for general mice I would assume very poor. For products I import myself? I would assume better.
What do you think?

I have a couple of projects I would like to do over the next few months (outside of my 9-5 job) however I have a real problem with actually doing them.. I find myself watching tv and browsing the internet most of my free time, which to be honest is just lazy.
My question is, how do people avoid such slobbery? I'd love to be one of those people who just work hard and get things done.
I can think of a few things to help:
1) Set targets to acheive
2) Remove distractions
3) Create a daily timetable
I've also thought about moving my computer in to the spare room, so it's more like an office rather than my bedroom.

I think it's a good idea, the amount of spam/useless/junk posts on this website has been increasing for a while now. And it's not just the same accounts, new ones are popping up too.
Removing these posts allows for other geniune threads to get more front page time and thus more input and discussion. Will anyone miss them? Only the trolls themselves I would think.
With regards to censoring abusive comments.. I don't have a problem with it, simply find a more adult way to get your point/feelings across. We're not 15 year old's anymore (unless you are 15 years old in which case, grow up).
If any one has an idea on how to deal with these issues, please let me know.

Dexter: Still good, as always.

How I met your mother: Average, but still interesting.
DS9: Started watching from Series 3 after a long break, I'm glad I got back into it, enjoying it so far.

Games:
Rage: Average shooter at best :S
Gears of war 3: To be played soon.
Dark Souls: To be played soon.
Forza 4: To be played soon but it has top gears track so it can't be bad?

Work
So it doesn't look like i'll be looking for other work, I've been offered a pay rise and less hours (38 instead of 40), I'm also trying to negotiate more holiday days.. Plus it will be reviewed again in 6 months.
Business also looks a lot better, I would be hoping to break the £500k turnover barrier this year now. (last year was £298k) so I expect to some kind of bonus come April.
I'm also on a weeks holiday after I finish today, so hopefully i'll do something productive rather than watching films and playing games :S

I'm thinking about leaving my current job as it sucks balls.. The company and work are shit.. The only problem is, it's local, quiet and I'm free to fuck around at my pleasure.
If I were get a new job I would certinly lose those benefits but would definitely earn more (maybe an extra £2k/3k per year), but maybe I would spend that in travel costs? Alternatively, It could also turn out to be a better job, more fun and rewarding.
There lies the problem.. Do I stay in a shittingly depressing job while I study etc? Or do I take a risk and get another job that may be even more sole destroying and also lose my freedom?
Been reading a few posts on here lately about improving QL and the scene.. One thing that comes to mind is a new mod, if it gained popularity it would certinly give the scene a boost of newcomers and life.
All we need now is an idea to run with.. who knows, ID might like it!
One mod I remember being extremely popular back in the day was Jail Break.. With a fresh design and maps, it could certinely become popular..
Another was a football mod, it was extremly fun and could attract new audiences.
Any other ideas for mods, post them..

The company I work for is pissing me off a lot lately..
1) Sending out e-mailings to my customers about the fucking women’s world cup. (who the fuck cares? the relation to our business is miniscule)
2) Sending out e-mailings that show EURO pricing to the whole of the UK (when we don't even have a £ alternative.. and we hardly ever deal with NI)
3) Not realising why I need an email address that corresponds with our website (using a generic btconnect atm..)
And generally doing other shit that pisses me off.
I've been with the company just under 2 years, I started when they were in deep shit, close to shutting down. I've been trying to improve business but they are really not helping with this bullshit.
1) Put it in your demo folder
2) Join Devmap or disconnect from a server
3) Drop the console and:
/timedemo
/demo four
6) after it runs, drop the console and you will see your average FPS.
7) Post results below (if you have Q3 installed, post the timedemo from that aswell - to compare).

I remember reading/watching a Rapha interview where he explained he had help configuring the RGB values of the enemy colour setting to give him the brightest enemy model..
Does anyone know what the best value is? I would imagine it's slightly different for each config/setup but I wouldn't mind testing a few others, to compare.
Now DH is over, I would like to commit some of my thoughts to text.
1) TDM is not spectator friendly, it's hard to follow and get's a bit boring if the games aren't close (which a lot aren't). Even the close ones didn't have me sitting on the edge of my seat like duel did.
2) Constant switching of POV in TDM means you miss a lot of the action (It's not the casters fault, just the gametypes).
3) While TDM was certainly hyped a lot, it didn't live up to my expectations. It may have been more fun for the players, but not for me as a spectator.
4) Duel was much more exciting in my opinion, lots of close games with amazing aim all round. Definitely more enjoyable to watch.
5) Let's drop it with this Tony bullshit, it was funny for like a week. (I have nothing against Tony, he seems like a nice guy)

I was using the Boogie Bug AimB.Pad (here) but it's impossible to keep clean, so I've gone back to my old Func1030 archetype, but i'm thinking about getting a new one.
I do have a Razor Goliathus, but the edge of the mat is frayed and rubs on the bottom of my rist so it gets a bit soar.
So I'm looking for:
1) None fraying edges
2) Doesn't get dirty / Easy to clean
3) Hard or Clothe
4) Good with DA 3.5g
Recommendations please? :X

I quit last September and since I've been unable to shift the 3 or 4kg extra weight I put on, regardless of diet or exercise (maybe more was required..).
Earlier this month I went on holiday (as you may know) and ended up getting drunk and smoking a cigar (not a euphemism). This quickly spiralled in to smoking a cigarette when drunk again, and then smoking regularly when drunk. To smoking sober. FUCK.
As stupid as it is to begin smoking again, I noticed I had lost 5 or 6kg in the 2 weeks I had been smoking.
Will be going back on patches soon, gonna bloat up to Liam size :S

Recently decided I want to go part time at work, I need more time to study and do a few side projects (for experiance).
I should be able to afford it since I don't plan on moving out in the next 6 to 12months, mainly because I can't afford to live alone (on my full time salary) and my friends certainly don't want to move out any time soon.
I would hope in 12 months I will be doing something that pays well enough for me to rent my own place.
The only problem I forsee going part time is becoming lazy and unmotivated. If that happens I'll go back full time.
Also, a family friend passed away recently, she left me a bit of money in her will. I'm going with the family to skatter her ashes tomorrow. I'm really hoping my mum doesn't start crying, there's nothing worse than seeing that. :S
I'm off to Gran Canaria tomorrow for a short holiday (for mates bday). I need something to listen to on the 4hr flights.
I was thinking podcasts, but since this is an area of the internet I have completely ignored for the past 5 years I have no idea what's going to be any good.
I'm guessing 30k of those hits are Google referrals.. (maybe there's a market for a website here? probably a lot of girls asking Google the same question..(c) this idea, just in case)
And yes, I was making stupid journal post 4 years ago, lol :D

My question:
How do I get better marks when writing reports? I usually do the minimum pretty well, but generally what do I have to do to get an A (or better marks..)?
Any advice is welcome :S

[edit] Yes it was Radiohead. After my 2nd listen my current verdict :
first few will take some time to get into, if I ever do that is.
Seperator, Morning Mr Magpie and Little by Little are good. I can see Morning Mr Magpie being one my favourite of the album.. with Radiohead It's hard to guess.

So I recently changed from using picmip 0 and r_texturemode "default" (lets call this option 1) to back to what I was orginally using picmip 6 and r_texturemode "gl_nearest_mipmap_nearest" (option 2).
One thing I noticed was a huge different in how movement felt. With option 1, movement felt quick (in terms of strafing left/right). Changing back to my orginal settings (option 2) felt sluggish and slow. My dodging felt poor (but smoother..).
Why does changing these settings effect the feel of movement? I would assume it's just a visual effect and doesn't change actual movement in game.

So I play Squash with my friend once or twice a week, he plays with my old raquet (still relatively new) and wears trainers with holes in etc.. (he's an unemployed pro gambler..).
I play with an expensive raquet and running trainers. Now I know these trainers suck for squash and intend to buy some £50 ones.
Now I often win our games (probably 70%+) and I kind of accept I'm the better player.
But having the better equipment (esp if i get the better trainers), it really won't feel like a fair playing field.
Hmm :|

After discussing this topic with my friends, I figured I was ask for other point of views on this subject.
My POV: Global warming does exist, whether we see it's effects now or in 100 years, it is happening. With all the millions of cars etc pumping out co2 etc, it _must_ have some effect on our planet, sooner or later.
My friends POV: Global warming is bullshit and doesn't exist, all made up by government. All of these green houses gases we produce has no effect. (this was something he said he feeled "strongly" about).
Now, It's not like I can say to him he's wrong, because I guess it's still currently a matter of opinion? (even though facts & science would agree with me?)

Called in sick and spent the day playing games :)
I played lots of QL, some tdm, duels, ffa and instactf. Enjoying QL a lot recently. Infact I plan to play some more tonight and possibly the w/e.
I also played some Super Meat Boy, which I finally decided to go and buy (on xbl). Glad I did, really enjoying it and also raging like a mofo.
[edit] Also, today I ordered a Razer Lycosa keyboard, mainly because my current keyboard is a bitch to actually type with (keys are not flat, sort of waved..) so I treated myself. I like the fact it has audio/mic inputs and usb too.
/le boring journal fin.

Get a new hair cut... then when family/friends see it for the first time, they kinda ignore it or don't say it looks good.. Then you realise everyone thinks it looks crap so you leave it for a little while then try and style it more like before?
The reason I ask, is because my hairs a little Justin Beiber-ish and I'll be damned if I look like that cunt. But if I change 2 much it will be ugly.
Maybe I should just shave my head and be an ugly cunt.

I recently got an aim b.pad xl to use as some sort of table mat thing (my table is probably 60 years old, no really..) as my desk has become sort of scratched etc.
Mini review : I had a hard pad previously, so coming to this feels a bit "ugh". Speed feels pretty slow compared to my func archi, but we'll see how it goes. Size, it just above covers the usable area on my desk and some.

Example 1) My mate thinks Giants actually existed, not 7ft tall people, but actually huge giants that were 10x the size of a normal person. He said there is evidence (skeletons) but the goverment doesn't want people to know so they are hidden.
Example 2) He doesn't believe the earth is billions of years old, he think's scientists have just pulled that number of their ass and can't prove it, same goes with dating anything old.
Example 3) He thinks the goverment could be killing all these birds & fish to promote panick buying to improve world finanical status.
Example 4) These birds/fish dying is the start of the end of the world .
Example 5) I nearly bet him £1000 the world wouldn't end in 2012. But I had to explain to him that it would be win/win for me and not win/win for him.

My browsing also includes facebook and the odd look at diggs front page, otherwise my internet browsing is pretty much limited to esr and reddit, which is pretty poor considering how vast the internet is.

1) Lose weight, I've put on loads the past 6/7 months due to quitting smoking, the past month i've been eating shit loads and drinking a fair amount of beer. This has lead to me becoming quite the tubster.
2) Start martial art, I've always wanted to do this, I'm hoping it will be a confidence boost and maybe a good chance to get fit.
3) Run a marathon
4) Move out. I'm hoping to do this within the next month or so, but I'm not sure if I can count on my friend, he loves to blow his whole pay cheque on pokerstars. He's got a kid now (born 30/12/2010) so I'm hoping he's gonna start being more grown up with his money.
5) Start fencing, not quite sure how or where, but I think it will be fun.
6) Get SSD (waiting for the prices to drop on +100gb)

So I was browsing the internet yesterday for work purposes and I get this virus warning from AVG so I tell it to fix it and fuck off back to it's task bar.
Next thing I know windows defrag is telling me I've got problems, with a) memory, b) currupted windows, c) over heating ram, etc.
Now, I can't access my database (including 100's of hours of work) and everything in my user documents folder has vanished. (I don't back up nearly as often as I should)
Turns out the AVG warning was probably the virus immitating AVG in order for me to accept it, which then installs this windows defrag immitation software that want's me to do something to fix my computer (at my cost i'd imagine).
I reboot in safemode and run virus scan, all files are still locked from being checked, but I am able to access my database/documents folder, so I back up and format c/.
This damn computer and internet is so slow at work, it litterly takes me 6/7 hours to get everything back as it was. The good thing was I had my iphone with me so I basically spent yesterday browsing reddit and playing angry birds.
Pro-tip : Pay more attention to anti virus pop ups.

and went to see Frankie Boyle in Birminghams National Indoor arena.
It was decent (but i laughed more at the warm up act..wtf). I wouldn't say i'm a massive fan but it was my mates birthday and he wanted to go and basically just booked my ticket anyway.
Went for a few drinks around bham after and well, it really beats the shit of Leicester for bars/nightlife. Also looks really nice/modern around the NIA/Sea life thing, espec with the christmas lights :)
[edit] Has anyone been to the sea life centre? is it any good?
Got home at 3am because my friends don't have to get up today for work and I do.. (7am) so they decided to go to the casino on the way home, long story short, we get lost but still go casino :(
Not going out again :|

Anybody else feel like all they do is work and sleep sometimes?
Currently I work full time, 8.30 - 5pm.. then come home do some exercise (30mins/1hr) and then get on with my coursework until like 9/10ish. I then spend an hour or so watching TV and hit the sack.
Rinse and repeat.
Haven't played any games for a while and I'm totally missing QL fun. I just don't have the time any more :<
Even after I finish my c/w near christmas, I have a few weeks/month spare but have another project to look into.
Facebook are expected to annouce some new thing tonight.
Facebook email? It's going to have to be pretty damn good to beat gmail imo.
Would I want to give employers/business associates my facebook email? um no. @gmail thanks. Would I give girls my facebook email? probably, or I could just tell them my name and tell em to add me like people do already.

Went shopping last night after work to buy some clothes & a coat.
I spent £0 and didn't find one thing I liked (next, gap, river island suck).
Basically I need a winter coat plus some cheap hoodies etc. I don't really give a shit about designer stuff so not looking for anything expensive.
Anybody got an idea of where to buy online?
[edit]
spent most of my budget at Asos. I should of really gone there first before posting :)
4 x huddies (different styles) and 1 padded jacket. = £160, not bad i guess.
Most likely will send some of it back, so keep giving me sites :)
[edit2]
Received Asos order today, everything was shit ugly apart from a £20 pair of jeans I added at the last minute.. sending £140 worth of stuff back for a refund.
Got a spam email from Play.com, they were doing 20% off all clothing ( with CLOTHING0511 tag) so decided to have a look.
Found a nice coat for £59.99 that was reduced from £159.99!!! also a nice huddy! Total win, lets just hope I don't need to send them back as well.
[edit3]
Thought I'd list the companies here so ppl don't have to go through comments :

A little journal update as I'm bored at work.
Haven't touched quakelive in 3 or 4 months, maybe longer.. how sad. Don't really have the time + urge/motivation to play at the minute.
I will be taking a few hours this weekend to play Fable 3 though, I loved the last one so I'm looking forward to this. (although after reading /r/gaming my hopes for the game have lowered).
On another note, I turned 27 during October, had a pretty nice birthday with friends..it was definately better than previous few years.
I also hope to be moving out some time in Jan if everything goes to plan, my 2 best mates think it's about time we all moved out of our parents, so we will be renting a nice semi detached in the same village we all live in.
That is all for now..
[edit]
Forgot to add, I quit smoking 4/5months ago.. Doing pretty well, although I seem to of put on abit of extra weight.. I've cut my food portions down and trying to do more exercise to combat my wobbly stomach :)
[edit2]
Was looking through my pics and thought I would post this, this was the view outside my window one day this year :

I was wondering if maybe it would be a good idea to have a comment system based on votes, similar to reddit or digg.
Comment's would be [+]'ed or [-]'ed, with the best ones being at the top, lowest at the bottom or hidden. So basically the comments would be sorted by popularity rather than time posted.
It sure would improve the quality of comments that are visible to sponsors/newbies/everyone etc.
I think alot of us old timers are used to the plussing good/funny comments but I think it's still a little used feature by most of the general population, maybe it would give them more of a reason to use it.
The only problems I can see :
1) Does anyone even work on this site anymore?
2) Most of the site [-]ing a few of the people they do not like/agree with.

Goodbye weekend/life..
[edit]
So I played it most of the weekend (singleplayer) and decided :
1) The game is laggy as hell, even with most of the settings on low the game grinds to a hault everytime I have a production to choose or something similar. Yes my pc is a few years old, but It still players most new games rather well still.
2) Missing textures? nearing the end of my 2nd game (I was 6hrs+ into it) I started to notice a few missing textures..
3) Bug's, every now and then when I clicked buttons they did nothing.
4) I suck at this game big time. First game I lost was because I got owned by all the other civ's at the same time.. 2nd game I won rather easily. 3rd game I upped the skill level and my civ was unhappy/broke and it seemed impossible to get out of, I guess my management skills let me down some where. So I saved and quit.
5) Why are my games lasting +6 hours? even on quick.
6) Gimme tips : I build lots of cities and make sure I own lots of land/miles etc, build army, take over nearest civ to expand.. Am I doing this right? Can you build armies faster with only a few cities rather than many? What's the best way to expand your borders?
