August has seen UK-based Counter-Strike: Source and Call of Duty 4 players battling it out in the Rustlers GameSafe Tournaments, a series of four different competitions spanning these two games where a variety of tasty prizes were on offer.
The CSS and CoD4 tournaments each carried a £1000 cash prize along with 5 goody bags for the winning sides. These goody bags were perhaps the pick of prizes as they contain a mini-fridge, mini-microwave, Saitek gaming gear and a 6 month supply of Rustlers to keep the winners warm in the winter months.
London MiNT were the victors in the CSS event, beating infused in the final by a score of 16-9, whilst relatively new side Phantasmagoria defeated 4Kings 13-7 in the final of the CoD4 team competition.
Individually Adam "4K^TW!ST" Cheshire won the CoD 4 FFA tournament, whilst Scott "aaroth" Macken picked up the CoD 4 70-Second Shipment Challenge title.
Full details are available on the Rustlers GameSafe site and a demo of the CSS final can be found here.
