Ok I instantly found this hillarious and nevermind the commercial in the beginning. But still! Are there more parliaments and debates within the government that has an equal high tone of voice and loudness in your country? Swedish government debates always ends up with people sleeping and debaters speaking with only 1 toned voices.. more extravagant footage like this please!~

Also, I do realise not every debate is like this in England, but do take notice of the high voice and party vibe within the debate even before Gordon Brown slips his tongue. Lovely.

I enjoy reading about it, this one for example: http://www.419eater.com/html/john_ademola.htm , but anyway.. im looking for one particular.

It was an EVE-Online scam a few years back, when some geek stole a big load of in game currency quite cleverly. I think I got the link from here actually, so if anyone can hit me up i'd apprechiate it, and any other simillar stories are always a good read.

Yeah.

North / South Divide of the U.K (75 comments)
Posted by pinball- @ 09:59 CST, 31 January 2008 - iMsg
I'm doing a 4-5 minute oral presentation on Monday about the North / South Divide in the U.K especially aimed at different Languages and Dialects. As Wikipedia as the only source im trying to expand my view of things and i'd like to start off by asking here for advice. I'm basicly going to talk about what different kinds of Language there are, along with dialects and how this affects people.

Is encyclopedia's at the library a good place to start or where would you suggest I looked? I know there's alot of U.K ppl on this site and perhaps in between the 148958496 lines of whine something useful can pop up. Cheers!

At The Gates Reunion. (21 comments)
Posted by pinball- @ 12:59 CDT, 18 October 2007 - iMsg
At The Gates are coming back together after 11 years of silence and its just fucking awesome. They already have a few shows confirmed for next year:

Jul. 4-6 - Ruisrock, Finland
Jul. 31 - Aug. 2 - Wacken Open Air, Germany
Aug. 15-17 - Bloodstock, Derby, UK

Commented guitarist Anders Björler (currently in THE HAUNTED): "Well, it felt like the timing was right for once. We have been talking about a possible reunion for years now, but this was the first time everything fell into place. For me personally, it feels like getting closure. The break-up over ten years ago was abrupt and left a bad vibe between us that took years to get over. We have a better relationship today and a more relaxed approach to who we are and what we do. The time is right to get together and play some shows Try to catch us live in the summer 2008. It could be your last chance."

Am i the only one praying for a new album as well?

AT THE GATES is:

Tomas Lindberg (DISFEAR, THE CROWN, LOCKUP) - vocals
Anders Björler (THE HAUNTED) - guitar
Martin Larsson - guitar
Jonas Björler (THE HAUNTED) - bass
Adrian Erlandsson (BRUJERIA, CRADLE OF FILTH) - drums

Dilemma. (92 comments)
Posted by pinball- @ 12:49 CDT, 2 August 2007 - iMsg
Ok so i've noticed quite a few people on this site are actually pretty smart, so maybe you can help me with this problem I have.

About three months ago I found my current girlfriend, she had just graduated from school and was gonna start working. She's 19 and im 21, anyway.. As I have been graduated for 2 years I've been thinking more and more lately that I should go back to school in early 2008 so I can get a real job education at the university. Getting into the computer science here were I live is ridiculously easy, in other towns such as Linköping & Gothenburg you need extra maths to be able to get in, among other things. They dont demand that here, and since I dont have it.. I'll have an easier time getting in here in Örebro than.. lets say Gothenburg. I also have a job here in Örebro wich I can work extra at while studdying.

The thing is, my girl applied to Gothenburg university for this spring just to see how it would go.. and guess what? She got in. The funny thing with her program is that its not available anywhere else in the country. And she likely wouldnt get in a second time if she applied.. so she has accepted the spot and is gonna start there this winter.

Its been 4 years since I had a really serious relationship, and believe me this one is. So im thinking about the following: Should I give up all my friends, work and easy future here and move down there this spring? For me to be able to do this I would have to take extra math classes this winter and pass them, and I also would have to get in to the program after x-mas. And its not all, since I still live at home I would have to wait with moving out until im absolutley sure im accepted in Gothenburg, in early January.. compared to early October if I do my studdies in Örebro.

So, I do realise this is a huge post, but still.. Some advice would be nice. I do realise we've only been together for 3 months, and its nothing.. would i potentially kill our relationship if I decide not to move there? Oh well, I guess I have to wait and see. Any advice?

Edit: Oh yeah, Gothenburg is like.. 350km away from were I live, about 2.5h with train.

After my last concert trip I did I got great help from this site by LoCK-! Thanks alot buddy.

So now its time for the next trip, i'll be heading from Örebro to Huskvarna to watch Amon Amarth and I need directions. Im going there 2nd of february only for the night (concert starts at 19:30). Is Folkets Park hard to find? Last time I wouldnt have made it without LoCK's help, so im trying this ESR path once again to see if anyone lives there or knows where in Huskvarna it is. Thanks :)

Also, if anyone has a recent setlist of Amon Amarth's shows i'd apprechiate it.

So my friend sent me this and he said there are 74 bands represented in this picture, but I have a hard time locating more than 3..

Guns N' Roses are easy, U2 is graffitti on the right hand side on the building and I'm assuming the queen with the two pink guns is Sex Pistols. Can you come up with any more?

13 weeks until next episode *sigh*, oh well, after this huuuuuuuge cliff-hanger I cant wait for more! Im glad Jack did what he did, I was sure Sawyer was gonna die though, who knows whats gonna happen.

Btw, I noticed something strange when I watched the episode where Eko gets trapped with that polarbear and Locke saves him. Can Desmond see into the future? In that episode Desmond runs into Hugo in the middle of the jungle and tells him that Locke have said that hes going after Kate & co when infact he hasnt yet. He later does though and Hugo has this Dejá vu moment and stares over at Desmond, pretty creepy tbh. But thats Lost I guess.

And also, who the hell is Jacob? It seems there is someone higher up than Ben. I recall the guy going to kill Sawyer say "he isn't even on Jacob's list." Seems to me there is a deeper and more clandestine element at hand here. Maybe its that eyepatch guy from last episode.

Oh and we also know that Alex is that crazy french womans daughter now, Danielle.

Is Sharing really Caring? (22 comments)
Posted by pinball- @ 05:01 CDT, 24 October 2006 - iMsg
I've started to think alot about filesharing lately and the problems surrounding it. To me, filesharing has done more good than bad (probably because im not a musician or actor), i probably wouldnt know half of the bands I listen to today if it wasnt for piracy. But when does piracy become a crime?

I think I have a very good example here, and this made me really question why I support this whole community of filesharers in the first place. In Sweden we have this series of Beck movies that has been going on since the middle of the 80's, easily comparable to the Bond movies in a way. They recently recorded 8 new Beck movies here in Sweden and i've been anxiously looking forward to them for a long time. The first of the 8 movies came out on cinemas about 3 months ago and I went straight to seeing it. Then the plan was for the next 2-3 Beck movies out of the 8 to be released on DvD. The thing is, the first one (wich was to be released in december on dvd), is already out on the internet. My moral dilemma: Do I download it?

Musicians have the power to get money from other things than their CD's selling well. Im thinking about merchandise and concerts. Actors / Directors doesnt have that kind of luxury, they have to get their founds from movie tickets or dvd sales. Thats why im sickened of this DvD being released on the net so fucking early as 2 months before the actual release in the stores. I have a really hard time now trying to defend people that downloads movies compared to music, atleast it isnt a dead race just because I grab some album, but it is if I grab some movie :|

Concerning North Korea, I decided to look around in some forums and found some really interesting stuff.

A story about one of the few tourists that traveled to North Korea.

A very disturbing documentary about North Korea, very well executed though I might add. Just hope something will change soon :|

The beginning was the big wtf moment, but really was it anything new? Lost does to its viewers exactly what its name states, it looses them, shit it even looses the producers, they have no idea where they are going.

But my bet is we have a very exciting season 3 ahead of us, time will tell. Thoughts?

Metallica! (76 comments)

Yes! It's true! Tomorrow i'll be leaving for gothenburg to prepare for the metallica concert this Sunday. Anyone else going? T_T

Oh, btw, if anyone of you have been to their recent concerts or anything can you please state what songs they where playing, thank you.

UPDATE:

I can only say one thing.. IT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!! We got there around 12:30 lunchtime, standing in line waiting to get in for about 5 hours. When we finally came in i was a little sceptic about going so close to the stage as possible, because i thought it would be a massive pressure there. But it was no problem, we stood 5 meters from the stage and we could still jump around and do everything we liked there. We had awesome space, awesome bands and i had awesome friends with me! Lost Prophets started the gig, and they really surprised me. They are playing some mix between Misfits and Creed and i really thought they where awesome (but hey, what music isn't good after a few beers?). Next up was Slipknot. Really amazing show with 9 anonomous people on the stage, and when they played their latest single "Duality" the stadium was really in the best mood! They also played another very good song, don't know about the title but it's something about "if your 555 then im 666". Also really great.

But nothing beats Metallica. My voice where gone after their second song, Fuel, but i continued to scream to songs like "St. Anger" and "Battery". The best song was, imo, "Nothing Else Matters", but "One" and "Welcome Home - Sanitarium" was also really good, in standard metallica style!

If you live in a European country you should really go see those guys once they come to your country, THEY KICKS SOME SERIOUS ASS! T_T
