Cooller out and updated schedule for DHW (189 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 10:25 CST, 25 November 2013 - iMsg
Due to the unfortunate reasons that forced Russia Cooller to drop out of the Sweden DreamHack Winter 2013 Quake Live Tournament we felt that we were forced to make some changes to the groups. The solution we came up with was to upgrade a player from High seed to Top seed and have him replace Cooller in Group D. After a lot of internal discussion we ended up with 2 players who we considered moving to Top Seed. To remove our (possibly) biased opinions we chose to toss a coin to make the decision for us. Sweden Spart1e came out on top and will be moved to Group D. Sweden madix will be the replacement in group B.

Together with this we chose to move the schedule 2 hours on the first day. This is to lets the players have some more time to travel to DreamHack. Note that the times for Friday and Saturday will remain unchanged.

Update: I've confirmed with Cooller that the statement written by Nico is correct and he will be unable to attend DreamHack.

Seeds and Group Drawings for DHW 2013 (767 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 06:39 CST, 18 November 2013 - iMsg
Scheduled: 13:30 CST, 20 November 2013 to 14:30 CST, 20 November 2013
Schedule: Passed

The signup deadline for the Sweden DreamHack Winter 2013 Quake Live Tournament passed about 2 weeks ago. There were some unfortunate drop outs from the tournament. Sadly Spain p0ni, Spain Sl1p, Lithuania fire_bot, Russia pavel and France strenx. We've found some great replacements though. Denmark brescia, Poland luukets, Israel no_il and France _gory, where all of them (as far as I know) make their first international lan debut.

As you can see there's one spot missing in low seed and we're working hard on finding a replacement. We have a name under discussion but we haven't received confirmation on his part that he can make it. We'll announce it as soon as possible though!

On Wednesday 13:30 CST, 20 November 2013 United Kingdom Zoot and Portugal Ins will host the group drawings live with a number of surprise guests! Tune in to ZootLive!

Update: Sweden jewRo will be the last replacement, which means that the player list is complete once again.

I'm out - Last DreamHack event for me (114 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 11:25 CST, 15 November 2013 - iMsg
As the topic says, I'm out. This will be the last DreamHack Quake event for me ever. There's a few reasons but mainly because I won't be in Sweden for DHS14 or DHW14.

I'm really super happy to have been apart of the DreamHack crew for such a long time and I've met amazing people over the years, from crew to players, casters and spectators. That's the only reason I've been continuing to organize the events for this long.

Lets make this one last event worth to remember, ok? See you in 2 weeks! \o/

Just counted, this will be my 12th Dreamhack event, which means that I've been involved for the last 6 years.. Damn that's long.

Update: Thanks everyone <3

DHW: 5 more players added to the line up (448 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 03:01 CDT, 21 October 2013 - iMsg
As promised it's time to release 5 more players for the Sweden DreamHack Winter 2013 Quake Live Tournament. The line up is getting more and more impressive. With the players released today we've filled 27 of the 32 spots in the tournament. The applications closes at Sunday the 3rd of November (3/11), so make sure to apply for a spot today! We're happy to announce Russia Cooller, Germany Twister, Russia pavel, South Africa Ph4ntom and South Africa Detrony.

Since the players last week voted for a new map list we decided to make the entire tournament best of 5. With the following picking procedure we feel that every player have a chance to play their best map and remove their worst (or second worst, depending on the opponents map pick).

DHW: Players voted for new Maplist (252 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 13:33 CDT, 12 October 2013 - iMsg
After the commotion caused earlier this week when we decided to replace one of the maps in the pool. We decided to do something about it; we let the currently invited players have a vote about what to do with the maplist.

The players had two options:
1. Keep the current maplist as it is (Cure, Sinister, Furious Heights, Lost World, Blood Run)
2. Add toxicity and one more map to the current maplist

The votes are in and the results show that option 2 won (rather convincing). The players also suggested which map to add to the pool and the votes show that the last map will be Aerowalk.

DHW: Toxicity out, Blood Run in (539 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 08:06 CDT, 9 October 2013 - iMsg
We've decided to change the current map pool for Sweden DreamHack Winter 2013. Many of you have raised your voice asking for Toxicity to be removed and Blood Run to be added instead. After a lot of internal discussions and reasoning we've decided to change it because Blood Run is overall a better map and it's not as one sided as Toxicity can be.

We chose to remove Toxicity instead of one of the new maps (Cure or Sinister) because we think that Quake Live needs a couple of refreshing maps to give newer players a chance to catch up and bring new blood into the game.

DHW: The First Players & Map pool (466 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 07:19 CDT, 24 September 2013 - iMsg
As of today we’re proud to announce the 12 first competitors for the Quake Live tournament at Sweden DreamHack Winter 2013. With big names such as United States of America Rapha, Belarus Cypher, Australia Fraze together with some of the best European and Australian players this is shaping up to be one of the best Quake Live tournaments at DreamHack yet.

We have now filled 12 of the 32 spots in the tournament. The applications close at Sunday the 3rd of November (3/11), so make sure to apply for your spot today. Next wave of players will be released in a couple of weeks. Together with the players we’re also releasing the maplist for the tournament.

Sparked by Raphas idea of a tournament we’ve decided to change the tournament layout at DreamHack. To replicate Rapha's idea exactly would be very hard (with 32 players) but we decided to increase the group stage to 8 players in each group. This means that we’ll have 4 groups of 8 players where the top 4 in each group are proceeding to the single elimination stage.

Posted by blaze @ 16:34 CST, 15 November 2012 - iMsg
After the show tonight with The GD Studio hosted by United Kingdom 2GD and Belgium Trance we now have the groups for the DreamHack Kingston HyperX Quake Live Tournament.

Unfortunately Poland STING dropped out last minute and we haven't been able to replace him yet. If you want to play contact either blazeh or slayzah in mIRC #DreamHack.Quake or send a mail to esport@dreamhack.se.

Also since STING dropped out we remade the seeds slightly. Sweden empish was moved to mid seed and the player missing is down in low seed.

So, as usual, please leave your thoughts on the groups below! Is there a group of death? Is any group more interesting then another?

Update: Last spot has been filled by Sweden Snapphanen.
Update 2: Poland matr0x unfortunately dropped out of the tournament. He will be replaced by Sweden DRz.bat4dead.

DHW: Player replacements and seeds (157 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 06:06 CST, 15 November 2012 - iMsg
Unfortunately we've had a few unexpected drop outs during the last week. Portugal ins, United States of America cl0ck and Germany reload have dropped out of the tournament, all with different reasons. Making the best out of the situation we quickly contacted a number of players who we hoped could play instead.

With only a week left until DreamHack Winter 2012 there wasn't much time for the players to arrange a trip but Tunisia L33gend (aka sofiene), Germany mousestar and Sweden empish all agreed to come and play. L33gend making his Quake Live LAN debut while mousestar and empish comes back to DreamHack to play again.

But since the line up is complete again it's time to get the seeds public!

Don't forget to follow The GD Studio tonight for the live group drawing. The show goes live at 19:00 CET with a warmup cup and finishing of with the group draw.

*UPDATE*: Italy unnamedtony can't make it due to sickness and needs to catch up on work as soon as he gets better. If you want to play please send a message to blazeh or slayzah at mIRC #DreamHack.Quake or send a mail to esport@dreamhack.se.
*UPDATE 2*: The last spot has been filled by Russia cooke.
*UPDATE 3*: Germany mousestar is not arriving until friday, one day after the groupstage so he'll be replaced by Ukraine nicerdicer.

DreamHack Summer: Quake Live Groups! (304 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 16:46 CDT, 3 June 2012 - iMsg
After the show yesterday with The GD Studio hosted by United Kingdom 2GD and Belgium Trance we got to know the groups for this years perhaps best Quake Live duel tournament!

Unfortunately Russia Cooller decided to drop out just minutes before the show was about to air. But a substitute was found very quickly, the moviemaker and cpm player Hungary mccormic.

Our great admin Sweden slayzah and United Kingdom zoot took the matter in own hands and remade the seeds, to prevent any further mistakes (like redoing the groups). Sorry for the confusion during the show, but it was all for the best of the tournament. The new seeds can be found below:

Is there a group of death? Is any group more interesting then another? Please leave a comment below with your input!

Seeds for Dreamhack Summer 2012 (280 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 17:24 CDT, 1 June 2012 - iMsg
Unfortunately we did have a few unexpected drop outs from the tournament. As many of you have heard Italy Stermy will not be able to attend since he's attending to the ShootMania LAN in France. Neither can Spain p0ni, Estonia cnz, Finland Kaide or Finland gerppa but because of other reasons.

As replacements we've found a bunch of Swedish players: Sweden pitch, Sweden mdf and Sweden ani. We also invited Ukraine Hipnotic. There's still one spot open in the tournament, all the replacements we've currently asked no one of them was able to go. So if you're still interested in going contact us either through mail (esport@dreamhack.se) or mIRC #Dreamhack.Quake (message blaze or slayzah) on QuakeNet as soon as possible.
But without further delay; here are the seeds and the current player list for the tournament!

Update: Hopefully we'll find a replacement in the next few days and can announce them then. Until then, stay tuned for the live show with The GD Studio tomorrow for the groups to be tossed. Last spot is now filled by Sweden Xeron. The GD Studio goes live at 18:00 CEST. remade.

4 more players for Dreamhack summer 2012 (205 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 12:04 CDT, 20 May 2012 - iMsg
Since sign ups close today we now have the complete list of the players that's going to be invited to the Kingston Quake Live Summer Championship. We're not going to give you the complete list today though, you're going to have to wait until Wednesday for that.

Also we're sad to say that Canada Oaki won't be able to attend. It's simply too costly for him to travel all the way to Sweden to compete in the tournament. Unfortunately I got in contact with him about 20 minutes ago and we haven't been able to select a replacement yet.

Anyway, today we're glad to announce 4 new players Finland Kaide, Netherlands gda, Estonia cnz and Poland av3k. Some really experienced players and some new unproven players is now into the player list which makes for an even more exciting tournament.

Questions? Send a mail to Esport@dreamhack.se

Update: France strenx can't attend to DreamHack either for reasons out of his hands. He will be replaced on Wednesday also.

A Documentary of DreamHack - Trailer (42 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 03:09 CST, 14 December 2011 - iMsg
United Kingdom Fade went to DreamHack Winter 2011 with a few different things in mind. He of course wanted to play for a bit but also he wanted to make a documentary about DreamHack. As he wrote in this thread about a week before the event started he will be doing interviews with all the involved with Quake Live at DreamHack: players, streamers, staff and fans.

But as he said himself: "I want to show you guys who are not at LAN or have ever been to one, whats it's like there and what goes on at theses events."

Last night he released a trailer! Make sure to check it out and also catch the real deal when it's out in January 2012.

DHW Demos OUT! (107 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 14:55 CST, 29 November 2011 - iMsg
After a very successful DreamHack Winter 2011, at least from my point of view, with so much awesome quake action and very good coverage thanks to the very hard work from the Level Up TV crew with United Kingdom Disrepute and United Kingdom nVc doing most of the casting and keeping you guys updated.

With this being said, the demos are now on the web! All demos (well, most...), both TDM and Duel can be found
on Trance's FTP.

An alternative mirror will be added soon enough!

Update: During the event when the LAN server broke down (hardware failure), we managed to get our server-guy together with id Software to debug the Swedish Quake Live servers and they sorted out the lag issues that have been occurring on the servers.

Update2: We now have an alternative (French) host with demos sorted. Demos links were added on the DHW11 coverage post for all matches.

Update3: Dreamhack.se host live (with .rar)

DHW: Schedule and TDM Groups Updated! (88 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 17:58 CST, 23 November 2011 - iMsg
With less than 1 day left before the DreamHack Winter 2011 Quake Live tournaments start we unfortunately had no choice but to remake the schedule and groups based on circumstances we couldn't ignore.

One team dropped out of the TDM tournament: Sweden nEuCtion. Portugal Insan3 couldn't make it to DreamHack either because of the Portuguese air companies went out on a strike today. Which leaves Australia / Portugal Aus Portugal with 3 players, but I'm crossing my fingers for that they sort it out when getting here. Our plan is that Netherlands draven can take his place, but unfortunately I haven't been able to get in contact with him to confirm.

With that being said we're going to delay the start of the TDM tournament with a few hours, note that we also changed the order the groups will play in. This will also allow us to free up some time to cover even more duel games!

With the dropout of Sweden nEuCtion we had to redo group B since it left Europe Kittylovers alone in their group. We swapped out Italy Senzabraccia to group B.

There's also a fancy site with brackets for all DreamHack tournaments, including Quake Live. Don't forget to check out DreamHack@Binarybeast.

DHW: TDM Seeds, Groups and schedule! (144 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 12:30 CST, 21 November 2011 - iMsg
With DreamHack Winter 2011 just around the corner it's time to wrap all the infos and get it out there. There's been some switching around with line ups and unfortunate drop outs but we've managed to sort it out nicely so far.

Belarus Amai was unable to go because of visa issues. Since he qualified through the second ZOTAC qualifier it's natural for us to pick the follow up from the same qualifier: Germany twister. A few members of Russia deliberate murder had trouble on going as well, but their captain Russia cooke still managed to get a hold of a few other players. Check their updated line up below.

If the amount of teams change drastically before the event we will redo the seedings and groups.

DHW: Duel tournament full and TDM update (313 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 03:01 CST, 11 November 2011 - iMsg
With less than two weeks left before the DreamHack Winter 2011 kicks off with two awesome tournaments it's time to announce all the players and teams attending. Seeds for the duel tournament will be released together will the final TDM update next week. The sign up time for TDM has yet not expired, so if you want to go don't hesitate to send in an application before Wednesday (17/11).

The last duel spots will go to Portugal Insan3, Sweden madix, Belgium dem0n and all the way from Australia Australia Ventz. I think it's also noteworthy that the grand final for the duel tournament will be played in the brand new DreamHack AMD SAPHIRE Arena. Which will be inside the hockey arena just next to the DreamHack venue. The Quake Live Duel final will be played just before the StarCraft 2 final, so I expect all the 4 000 seats to be filled!
Currently we have 6 TDM teams signed up, but I expect us to get around 10-12 teams until the sign up time runs out.

DHW: More duel players invited! (90 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 04:44 CST, 6 November 2011 - iMsg
Another ZOTAC Qualifier cup #2 is coming in a few hours and we promised to release a few new sign ups before it starts. I'm getting very excited because there's more and more players signing up every day.

We've decide to invite Russia Cooller, Sweden toxjq, Germany k1llsen, Sweden Spart1e and United States of America rapha. With these 5 players invited that leaves two more for the ZOTAC Qualifier Cup #2 and another 4 players for us to invite. So apply for a spot soon if you want to play at DreamHack Winter. The sign up is open for about another week, it closes the 10th of november (yes, the rules state that 17th is the last sign up date but that has been changed).

Please spread the word and ask all TDM teams to sign up. I hope that we can manage at least 10-12 teams for the tournament.

DHW: Rules and current sign ups (290 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 12:15 CDT, 31 October 2011 - iMsg
Yesterday the first of two Qualifier Cups for the Duel tournament at DreamHack Winter 2011 was played. Just before the tournament started we decided to announce three invites on IRC to open up the increase the chance of up and coming players attending at DreamHack.
That means that Belarus Cypher (Defending Champion), Poland av3k and France strenx was invited before the cup started.
The tournament was ran by ZOTAC and with some interesting and perhaps upset matches we had our two first invites. strenx finished first with 3 straight maps vs Poland Pawelek (aka matr0x). Pawelek had some tough games before the final game but beating players like cypher and reload.

Since strenx already was invited an invite opened up for the players playing the semifinal and quarterfinals. We decided that Germany reload should receive the second invite because of some impressive play and he was as close as it possibly can be to qualify to DreamHack Summer 2011.

I know more teams did sign up for the TDM. If you sent an e-mail to esport [at] dreamhack.se but wasn't on this list come and talk to blaze in mIRC #Dreamhack.Quake.

See attached files for rules. Some changes was made.

Qualify To The Dreamhack Duel Tournament (74 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 16:25 CDT, 26 October 2011 - iMsg
We're proud that together with ZOTAC host two Qualifier Tournaments for the Duel tournament at DreamHack Winter 2011. Not only that they sponsor the TDM tournament, but also helps us with this! ZOTACs Sunday Cups (#107 and #108) will host as the actual qualifiers and the two finalists will be given an invite each to the tournament at DreamHack.

This will also be the only way to qualify into the DreamHack Tournament, as the rest of the invites will be handed out by us. Of course, if the finalists are already qualified we will hand out the invites to the semifinalists instead so no invites will be lost.

With this being said it also means that we will invite the first players before Sunday and also release the rules for both tournaments! Stay tuned for more info!
If you've got any questions feel free to join us at mIRC #Dreamhack.Quake.

We would also encourage everyone to sign up to DreamHacks own tournaments (Duel/TDM)

DHW 2011: Quake Live TDM announcement! (374 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 03:15 CDT, 20 October 2011 - iMsg
DreamHack can together with the two sponsors ZOTAC and Plantronics finally present all the details of our Quake Live TDM tournament: DreamHack ZOTAC Championship. Last Summer DreamHack proudly hosted the first Quake Live TDM tournament in a very long time. With the great success and high quality of the tournament it was an easy choice to go with Quake Live TDM again for this DreamHack.
“Quake Live is the ballet of eSports, it’s an art and a sport, a experience that tickle all your senses. It feels great to have both Plantronics and ZOTAC in this project and support one of the most dedicated communities out there.” said Fredrik Nystrom, Press Officer at DreamHack.

“This year we’ll only host a TDM-tournament, but we’ll add some duel to it – at the new DreamArena in the ice hockey arena we’ll host one showmatch in duel with 20 000 SEK on the line. We want to show the world of eSports that Quake Live still is a great spectator game.” said Tomas Hermansson, Head of eSports at DreamHack.

Last Round of players to DreamHack! (200 comments)

With currently about one month left until DreamHack Summer 2011 the last round of duel players have been invited to the tournament. With the two players coming from the online qualifier hosted by ZOTAC the duel list of players is now finished.

The TDM tournament is still lacking confirmation of most teams. We'd like all the teams who's going to DreamHack to send a message to either of the admins over at mIRC DreamHack.Quake. Sending a message to me (blaze) on ESR works just as fine! We need to know your team name and team line up for seeding purposes.

Rakaka interviews cypher and strenx (3 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 05:29 CST, 22 January 2011 - iMsg
The Swedish e-sport site Sweden Rakaka is on site in Kiev and had the opportunity to sit down with a few of the Quakers.
Hellspawn sits down with France strenx and
Belarus Cypher and asks them how they feel about going at it in Kiev, their current skill level and a bit of the future of Quake.

Strenx: "On lan I feel comfortable, I play the same at I would in Zotac. I'm not afraid to do a thing that I would do, for example in Zotac to try some things, Risky maybe. On lan before I was really afraid.."

Cypher: "I am more calm in the game, I am more sure in myself and more confident versus everybody I play. It really helps me a lot because I'm not afraid to lose."

For those interested there's an interview with Spart1e (unfortunately in Swedish) at rakaka as well.

Get them on http://files.dreamhack.se/dhw10/quakelive/

I hope we get to see at least a few nice movies from this, I know for sure that there's many good frags in there :D

3 missing demos from the final, cypher vs dahang. Cyphers pov.

Tell me if there's missing any other demos.

I know that Vo0's demos from the kasperskys tournament is lost, because of someone resetted quake live before I had the chance to collect the demos.
some of k1llsens demos are missing because apparently there's a bug that prevents autorecording at times ( that's what k1llsen told me..)

Drama in the CPM-community (365 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 08:45 CST, 10 February 2010 - iMsg
About a month after the launch of #cpmduel at quakenet they arranged their first duel tournament this weekend.

The tournament itself went on very smoothly where almost everyone involved were happy with it. The ones who weren't happy about it was Poland buxter who played in the winner bracket-final game versus Lithuania eThaD. eThaD beat him in two straight maps and threw him into the loser brackets where he got knocked out.

eThad at Dreamhack Winter 2008

A few hours after the cup was finished a demo was published on challenge-tv.com where the poster "QuakeSuperHero" accused eThaD of using wallhack.
While watching the demo he think he caught eThaD at least 29 times where he's had to have wallhack. (note that a CPM duel is 10min).

Some parts of the CPM community has turned against eThaD and some support him in this. The discussion at challenge-tv.com has started where it seems like most people thinks he cheats.

ethad seems to counter this very calmly and not doing anything until buxter wants to have a chat at irc.

Wallhack or not? Discuss!

edit:
Statement by buxter
<buxter> frankly, i don't care about this whole mess, it wasn't me who started it, i gave my opinion with explanation, controversial as it might be but still only my point of view, and nothing more, certainly not proof of QUakeSuperHero thesis.
Actually it's this QuakeSuperHero that's the bad guy, not buxter. Pardons to buxter!

Dreamhack QL & QW Seeds+Groups released! (153 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 16:07 CST, 23 November 2009 - iMsg
When Dreamhack Winter 2009 is just days away the seeds have finally been made and released for both Quake Live and Quake World.

Unfortunately a few players dropped out of the tournament. PURRI and bodzo couldn't make it of various reasons, time and money being the major ones. They were replaced by the players who were next in line: the former Dreamhack Quake admins Sweden Dronar and Sweden SobriuS.

ZeroQl had troubles getting a visa and was replaced by the runner up in the Serbian QL Qualifier: Serbia rmd! Sweden Åke Vader and Sweden lakso couldn't make it to the Quake World tournament either. Åke Vader because of work and lakso because of school. Both of them were replaced by the players next in line: France vo1ce and Sweden snapcase.

Together with the seeds and groups the full rules have been added for both games. Most notably is that QL uses the "ESWC-style" for picking maps (both players remove one map each before picking maps) and QW uses regular map picks (requested by the community).

Bolted Warsow Bomb & Defuse-cup finished (36 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 12:00 CDT, 6 September 2009 - iMsg
Update: Grand finals was played between Jitler Hugend and Team Zissou in a very exciting 3 map game. Cocaine, alley and wbomb1 was the maps, where JH dominated the first map but then had a tough time in the upcoming two maps. Zissou managed to get two straight maps and therefore won the cup! Congratulations Team Zissou for the first Bomb and Defuse-title! Demos can be found on ESR.

The groupstage was played best of 1, but as we proceed to the playoffs the teams will instead play best of 3, single elimination.

2 teams from each group will proceed to the playoffs. Group A is finished and Group B have a few games left to do. So from group A we'll see Team Zissou and rndm take on, as it seems now, Jitler Hugend and Lost in Nirvana from group B.

To watch make sure you join warsow-tv at tv.warsow-esport.net:44400. My guess is that the playoffs will start in about ~30min (~19.30 CSET), but there's matches going on all the time. So don't hesitate to join and watch!

Warsow 0.5 Bomb & Defuse Cup! (85 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 15:01 CDT, 2 September 2009 - iMsg
Scheduled: 09:00 CDT, 6 September 2009 to 16:00 CDT, 6 September 2009
Schedule: Passed

After about a week after the release of Warsow 0.5 the tourney admin Germany Uz, arranges the first team based cup! Uz is the admin for Bolted, a Warsow tourney site that's been hosting a lot of different competitions over the years. Their aim has been mainly duel cups, but after the huge success with implementing "Bomb and Defuse" mode in Warsow he decided to give it a go.

Bomb and Defuse is a round based mode where one team has to defend two different bomb sites from the attacking team. The attacking has to plant a bomb which will destroy one of these bomb sites. This cup will be played over one day only, so it's a good opportunity to give the game a try!

Cpm 2v2 NATIONSCUP Week 1+2! (28 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 10:24 CDT, 10 April 2009 - iMsg
So the first two weeks we'll see a lot of games! Each team will play 3 games during these two weeks. So it's time to start scheduling.
As usual tell me or ethad ASAP when you scheduled the game. It's close to impossible for us to run this event otherwise.

(Since every group has 5 teams one team has to sit out every round. That causes that some teams will just have to play 2 games these weeks)

GAMES HAS TO BE PLAYED BEFORE MONDAY 27/4

Next monday (13/4) the 2v2 version of the Nationscup kicks in with 20 teams fighting for the pride left in CPM.
Since the teams only need 2 players to get a game going we thought we'd speed things up and make you play 3 games per 2 weeks.
First two weeks schedule can be found here!

I'd like to remind every team that to have at least one player in #cpm.nations to make the scheduling smooth. Before we start I'd like to hand out a round of applauses to the refs helping us with the event and the few admining here at ESR.

We're finally getting down to serious business.

Sweden Sweden vs DenmarkIceland Icemark @ Thursday 21:00 CET
United Kingdom United Kingdom vs Poland Poland A @ Sunday 22:00 CET

I asked United States of America djWHEAT to shoutcast the semi-final games. The days he could do some shoutcasting is from Wednesday to Sunday, so that's the days you can pick to schedule the game. Since none of you settled for a date I don't think this should be a problem. As usual, tell me when you scheduled the game RIGHT AFTER YOU SCHEDULED IT!

The really strong team of Sweden will face off the joined nations Iceland and Denmark.
I think that Sweden will win this one in 2 straight maps, they played each other during the group stage and Sweden managed to win that one convincingly with 2:0 in maps. Although I doubt that Icemark will let the win go easily, they've got some high skilled and really good aim at their team and will use that to counter the Swedes.

United Kingdom and Poland A will face off in the other semi-final. I think this game will be really interesting and the predictions pretty hard. Poland A consists of some of the old schoolers of Poland with the addition of the vq3er v3rb. I'm expecting crazy aim and some nice team play from the Polish team.
The UK team has some wide spread skill and knowledge of the game, with the powerhouse ddk in the front.

I'd say this game goes 2:1 to Poland A, but depending on the lineup from UK that could as well turn to 2:1 in the favor to UK.

As always, you can find the updates first at the tourney site or at irc (#cpm.nations)

Update: Unfortunately djWHEAT couldn't make it for the Sweden vs Icemark game tonight, but he confirmed that he will be here at Sunday when United Kingdom and Poland A is playing!
