Frag compilation from 2006-2007 era personal cpma demos. Mostly for personal nostalgia, but some people here may remember my ~decade old vq3 movies.

Made new quake movie, hosting ideas? (23 comments)

yoyo ESR,

I haven't been playing quake in a while, but looking back at the time I did still brings back the more smiles than any other game. Thus, I went back and cobbled together a some clips from what made me happy from 2006-2007 CPMA demos into a 20min movie.

It's pretty much in the very raw (1st person, not very edited) style of my previous movies (see profile), but early on I made the mistake of doing a hybrid 4:3 - WS hybrid; 720x480 and so it gets shitty bitrate on youtube when the actual avi is in smooth motion blurred 50fps.

Is there anyone who would be willing to host it in parallel with my google drive shared copy (which supposedly has download limits)?

Q3 video command for movie making (1 comment)

Anyone got any experience with this for video creation? For high fps capture? Or some references on how to use this effectively? I've got nothing.
When did this command even become available?

I always used a low timedemo and wrote screenshots then synched up audio later (which for some reason always had to be set to 99% playback rate to match up with the video). Obviously, this method still works, just hoped it was a bit 1999 at this point.

CPMA solid color gunmodel (8 comments)
Posted by clux @ 02:25 CST, 11 March 2010 - iMsg
All my weapons now consist almost entirely of just a single block of color (see image). This must have happened in one of the latest upgrades of cpma as my cfg has remained unchanged for years, but there's nothing in the changelog or docs about anything like that.

This isn't normal is it? Anyone know how to fix it?
