I've just enabled fastpath on my broadband which is great as its shaved 10ms off. But the downside is when im on skype im getting really bad packet loss/red spikes in quake 3

Router = Netgear D834G with latest DG Team custom firmware

Any ideas!?

Recently been getting bad pings the cpmpickup servers.
lob1.cpma.se
lob2.cpma.se

I normally get a ping under 30. but the last 3 days has seen this jump to 70+

I've looked on google and searched forums but can't find solution for my problem.

system spec:
intel c2d
2gb ram
ATI 4850
WIndows XP SP2


I recently purchased the 4850. Before this i had an 8800gts which experienced the same problem. This, however, was fixed by disabling the threaded optimization in the nvidia control panel.

There is no option like this in the Catalyst CC.

I've also tried disabling one of the cores but this makes it a lot worse.


Any ideas? :/

Although expensive (currently £630approx) this monitor has a scanning backlight at 60hz which is meant to stop ghosting.

Can anyone, especially quakers, shed any light on this monitor please?
