Why are all these QC Cups like 2v2 eu/us and the open league not in the news, nor in the sheduled listings?
I know that QC is not exactly what we was hoping for, but it's still much better than no quake at all..

So, I haven't played any games since I stopped playing QL, must be at least like 4 years or more and recently stumbled across Limbo and loved it.
Bought a PS4 and digged a little deeper into the so called 'walking simulator' games. Bare with me, I'm old, I can't handle to much action anymore. ;)

-Firewatch, quite nice and entertaining.
-Unravel, nice idea and great gfx but didn't keep me going.
-Everbody's gone to the rapture, a bit to slow and kinda boring.

-Dear Esther
On my wishlist:
-Resident Evil 7
-Hellblade Senuas thingy

I just want to give you some thoughts why we changed it like this.
After a few games on the old version it became clear that it was mainly a rush for LG with some items/powerups between. A rail wasn't welcome by most people, so I thought it needs something else.
Simply adding a MH somewhere would not have helped much so I thought we could activate the BS area if we place the MH there which opens the map to more variation as well. It should be a more clear split of the map now with 2xYA + LG vs RA + MH. I also thought it could be very interesting to have the only PU on the map on the YA side. Will the RA guys attack Quad at all or stay back and set up traps?
Please give it another go and I'd welcome any feedback of clanplay on the map.

Some of you might now, some don't, I've been working heavily on my new housemusic-project re:deep as well as my own label Vordergrundmusik in the past months. Mixing crisp electronic beats with hints of melancholy, folk, funk or soul. Music to dance to but also for the individual to sit back and contemplate to.

I created my own musiclabel a while ago and just asked my webdesigner hows it going with the website and got the shocking reply: "I told you that I wont have time" (which he didn't)
So I'm kind of fuked right now and as I don't have anyone else in mind I thought I'll give it a go here. Maybe theres someone skilled and bored at the same time. :)

As Sinister wasn't a great success in it's previous incarnations, especially when out of control, we've decided to give it another go and try to improve it once again with the following changes:
-Removed 1 Minute RG respawn & gong
-Removed GA
-Added a second YA
-Swapped several items
-Removed low RA spawn
-Added pillar @ RA
-Added another teleporter

Video presentation of our new Quake Live TDM Map: Arcane Citadel.
The idea behind this map was to create something like a mixture of Purgatory and Grim Dungeons, where teamplay and positioning matters, while still beeing fun to play in pickup's and occasional play. Quite unique is that it has no Rail Gun and only one Rocket Launcher, but therefore two Shotgun's, Plasma's and as well two Grenade Launchers. So you better stop checking your accuracy and start spamming! :D
As we did for Limbus, we created a new music track for Arcane Citadel. But because everyone tends to use s_musicVolume 0, we decided to do a "musicvideo" with a simple walkthrough so that the music could get more airtime. You can check it out below as well.
All people that had a run around on it, ( baksteen, zoot, twister, maza, slafz) thought it's a huge improvement, overall better mapflow and improved out of control play.
The controversial 1 minute RG respawn still exists, but should work perfectly now with these changes.
Thanks for the input and suggestions from these players (especially baksteen with the second RL) and the whole community. And special thanks to everyone involved in the Targetquake cup which showed the weak areas of the map.
Last but not least thanks to akm for all the mapping. (Glad he doesn't live near, else he might have knocked on my door with a chainsaw in his hands! ;D)
Give it a go guys and no whine before you played it at least a few times :]

As Limbus is currently played in all leagues, we want to inform you about an upcoming change.
We thought through some ideas of how we could let the quad-carrier get out alive slightly easier, without making crucial changes to the map. The outcome was that we switched the 'broken' window (near grenade launcher) directly to quad.
-It should reduce the rush and spam from that direction when Quad is about to spawn
-You should be able to defend Quad better
-Harder to steal LG (from RA/RG position)
-Can still hit the lucky shot thru the window.
-GL Area has a better flow as the window was replaced by a doorway
-Can use the balcony to take out the railer etc etc
Feel free to post your opinions.

As most interviews are with pro players and we know little about the background of organizations and events, I decided to start a 'Behind the Scenes' Interview Series.
We will listen to suggestions but please think about them before posting, cause usually every change has a new downside. We've been thru several changes already and think this is the best solution.
And its overall very hard to think about improvements without playing real people on it.

And dont judge the map cause of winz onesided rape, its a bloody bot!!! :D

As it doesnt seem likely that we are getting any new, nor old maps at the moment,
I’d like id to consider some simple changes to dm20, to make it more enjoyable in TDM.
We didn’t change the layout, but I think these few changes will help a lot.
(Suggestions are welcome but please NOT about layout changes, as that will be an endless story)
Change List:
Removed RA Tele, and placed a Jumppad nearby.
Moved RA out of the corridoor and into the Corner.
2nd Tele leads directly to upper Level in the same Area.
Moved Quad to old lower YA, 5 shards added, moved 5hp bubbles + added 2x 5hp.
Moved lower YA to old Quad position.

Hello everyone!
I saw some discussions/whine/suggestions about DM6 lately and actually was bored, so i grabbed my friend akm and we got our hands on it :>
All stay cool, this is more or less for fun, for discussions and suggestions and of course not done at all. I just thought it would be fun to do a dm6 remake with the whole community. Whoever is up for it, post your ideas.
What we changed so far:
1) Moved RA to pillars
2) Build a new YA area which makes it 2x YA now / 1x RA
3) Tried a teleporter which got removed again ;>
4) Switched several guns
5) Added some small pillars for rail defense on midlevel
And for all those who say make new maps instead of changing old ones, YES I AGREE! We already did a new TDM Map which can be found here: http://www.esreality.com/?a=post&id=1765740
But we wont spend any time in new maps as long as they can't be added to QL.
Instructions:

2K.Clan is proud to present our first QLTDM map, named 'Purgatory' (QZDM2K).
We've created this map because we know new maps are badly needed for the community, (especially for TDM), as we are playing the same 3-4 maps again and again in cups etc.
At the moment it's only playable offline vs. bots (TDM/FFA), until id is willing to consider new, user made maps.
Instructions:
1) Download the zip @ http://web.bethere.co.uk/hosted/map_qzdm2k.zip (~1.3mb)
2) Extract qzdm2k.pk3 to X:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\id Software\quakelive\baseq3\ (WinXP) or x:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\id Software\quakelive\baseq3\ (Win7/Vista)
3) Ensure the readonly attribute is set on qzdm2k.pk3. (right click -> properties -> [x] read only)
