Return to Castle Wolfenstein is a game on its last legs, but once in a while there is something beautiful coming from this scene. Some teams are still hanging in there and playing actively determined that this scene wont die any time soon.

One of these teams is Europe Violence is Bad and as a result of a undefeated campaign throughout the past two seasons, dirrty 'n pheex (dnp) has produced a movie that is surely an icon on its own.

The frags in Violent Reflection are one by one brilliant. Nevertheless, what defines this movie from others is the way how their awesome teamplay and ful round have been captured through sublime editing by France dirrty.

Even if you are not an RtCW fan, it might be worthwhile watching this movie. It is just one of these movies that are just so unique and defining it is a must to watch.

Winner:Check 6, Odds: 80% (1.2:1)
Bets placed: E$27594, betting open: 15:42 CDT 13 Aug 2005 to 17:30 CDT 13 Aug 2005

Bets placed: E$6546, betting open: 15:42 CDT 13 Aug 2005 to 17:30 CDT 13 Aug 2005

Most is known already about these teams. United 5 had to use alot of their energy to take down Idle.ee who wasnt much of a problem yesterday for Check 6.

Check 6 took down United 5 in the winnerbracket and are clearly the favourites. Check 6 is well rested and ready to go, so they are clearly the favourites for the final.

Loser:Kinetic, Odds: 24% (4.1:1)

The loosersbrackets has been pretty interesting. Australia Modus Operandi facing Estonia Idle.ee but got knocked out!

The longer Idle.ee stays in the tournament the stronger they get and it seems to come true. In the beginning they might have lacked the smartness and the finesse to beat top teams, but the estonians have alot of top gaming experience and thats whats paying off atm.

United States of America Kinetic was one of the underdogs but while Australia Modus Operandi and United States of America DarkSide are already out of the tournament, you can say they are doing a fantastic job. For them there is only one way to go and they have nothing to loose and those are the most dangerous opponent. The good thing about Idle.ee is that they came with this intention in the first place. Have some good games, enjoy and see where it all ends. This is making as dangerous as Kinetic

This will be a game which could go either way. Sadly we dont know the maps yet!

Loser:Modus Operandi, Odds: 66% (1.4:1)
Bets placed: E$10300, betting open: 16:00 CDT 12 Aug 2005 to 20:00 CDT 12 Aug 2005

Winner:United 5, Odds: 33% (3:1)
Bets placed: E$1064, betting open: 16:00 CDT 12 Aug 2005 to 20:00 CDT 12 Aug 2005

This will be the second clash between top favourites.

Modus Operandi fought their way through United States of America Dark Side Yet again they managed to beat a high skilled team with good teamplay. SupplyDepot was a close call with only a 30 seconds difference, but on oasis Modus Operandi took the momentum and didnt let go, setting an astonishing time of 5:35.

United 5 is the only team who hasnt really been challenged yet. Much is unknown about their shape if they face the big boys. American hopes are focussed on them, since they seem to be the biggest threat to keep Check 6 and Modus Operandi away from the title.

United 5 slightly being the favourite it will be one of the matches where no clear winner can be predicted.

Loser:kinetic, Odds: 13% (7.1:1)

Kinetic was the underdog in the previous match. Main reason of this were the recent roster changes that Kinetic had to undergo. However sometimes this gives the team exactly what it needs or you find a player who fits into your team instantly. This most certainly has to be the case when they just took No Remorse down.

Check 6 just got warmed up playing Idle.ee. When playing the first stage on Reactor not much of their aggressiveness was noticeable, but at the end of sw_Goldrush they were the feared mean machine once again. Idle.ee just didnt have the smartness to beat them while it did seem that check 6 is not in the best shape as they have ever been.
However like previously in EuroCup check 6 almost missed the groupstage by lacking performance versus the "semi top" teams. However when they were called to the plate at the first EuroCup final there was a team that literally let all guns blazing.
It might be a great strategy to not play at their best and leave something for the upcoming games.

United 5 seem to be their biggest threat, but for this game, it will be very hard for Kinetic to even take a round.
Check 6 clearly being the favourite to win this game.

United States of America Kinetic is one of mid seeded teams on this event.
Kinetic didnt have a troublefree game versus United States of America Team Ballz, while United States of America No Remorse is one of the top seeded teams. They received a BYE in the first round of this tournament.

United States of America Kinetic might just have been nervous and with match 2 on its way that can only become a smaller factor. It will be interesting to see on what maps these two teams will face each other, since both have their weak and strong maps.

The map factor might be a very crucial factor in the outcome of this game. However with this unknown yet, United States of America No Remorse is the clear favourite for this game. They are a stable team with some great people in it. They miss the experience of playing on a lan, but that goes for United States of America Kinetic too.

I predict that this will be an open and offense sided game. The defenses will be the ones under heavy pressure. Room for error is small in ET and that is what will make this game interesting. Can both teams stay concentrated all the way till the end and avoid making the determining mistake?

Modus Operandi versus Dark Side (10 comments)

Winner:Modus Operandi, Odds: 26% (3.7:1)
Bets placed: E$11692, betting open: 01:34 CDT 12 Aug 2005 to 14:00 CDT 12 Aug 2005

Loser:Dark Side, Odds: 73% (1.3:1)

On paper this seems to be a very interesting game. Australia Modus Operandi didnt play too well yesterday versus United States of America Brand0n's Five and to me personally even disappointed. However Modus Operandi didnt beat Kreaturen without a reason. Their strength is their suberp execution of strategies. The ability to have multiple guys shoot at one opponent makes them very strong. Why face players 1on1 if u can have a teammate rape him from the back?

United States of America Dark Side is clearly a team we havent seen much crucial from over the past weeks. However this team has a great captain and some very skilled players who even represented North America in the most recent Atlantic Battle (6-0 EU). Canada nothx is a great and experienced captain who can pull his team together. This team has players like United States of America Stiegl who made an impressive impression during the Atlantic Battle. A one man army not to reckon with. The nice thing about D|S is that this team has great individual skill but even next to that, loads of experience and great teamplay.

This meeting on the Enemy Territory Battlefield will most likely be the match of the day. All 12 players know the feeling of being on top of the ET scene, but next to that, most know teammembers from the opponent and even played alongside them in CB NationsCup.

Many of the Idle.ee and Check6 players have been playing together in the NationsCup where they won the final by beating Hungary.
Check6 (formerly known as u96 Das Boot) is the undisputed european number 1 team. They have showed the ET scene that their aggressive and spammy tactics can win you the game. Once they grabbed the momentum they wont let go.

Idle.ee and Check6 know eachother well and that might be an advantage for Idle.ee. They are just recently formed to set sail for this LAN tournament and this might just make them a little bit less predictable. However on paper Check6 is the favourite, but this might be one of the games were we get to see ET in its l33test form.
