How to play back UT2004 demos

Yet another demo from the ESWC 2005 qualifiers here in south africa.

Gandulf was also a highly rated player, who has deserved respect from his fellow gamers and continues to play casually and could be lurking around the servers even today.

let it also be noted that he was also from the clan 'team42' the then 'pro's' of UT2k4. This was before the new kids on the block took over the scene and since then they have been nothing more than a name or 2 in the history books.

enjoy :)

How to play back UT2004 demos

This is an 'oldschool' demo of a long past ESWC qualifer, either 2004 or 2005, not sure.

Mburr was predicted to finish above me in the event. He had just come back from the actual ESWC the previous year and was expected to put on a show for the south african crowd.

The event was much anticipated here and players came from far and wide to attend. a great display of new and old talent showed up which ofcourse meant the occasional big upset for the then 'team 42' clan which is nothing more than a casual 'happy friends' clan now as they dissapeared into irl after this tournament.

enjoy :)

How to play back UT2004 demos

This game i played sAm, a respected player amongest the ZA community here. I played this game not so long ago and, as promised, uploaded it here.

sAm is a relatively newcomer to the scene, when i say relatively i mean in the past year or so. He's improved by leaps and bounds and given us 'old schoolers' a run for our money. Never met him on lan before but im sure he's a fearsome competitor in your average local tourney, likely placing no less than top5.

quite a gg this one, altho i was a bit more lazy than i should have been, patience won the game in the end. worth the watch...

How to play back UT2004 demos

As promised, here's a second demo fresh off south african duel servers. Again, some nice frags, good movie potential and a good watch for those craving UT2004 demos, they're rare aren't they? ;-)

Manta showed great potential here amongest the ZA comunity and has proved himself worthy amongest the ledgends of Nautillian, Mielie and myself. Some of u might remember those 2 players from wcg / eswc respectfully. Naut losing only by 2 frags to Gitzzz on curse back in UT99 days and Mielie proving himself by going through the group stages at eswc once before. Now i just gotta catch them on a server somewhere...

More soon!

How to play back UT2004 demos

This was a casual game i played not so long ago vs a 'highly rated' player in south africa, altho he's the only one who 'highly rates' himself. Sometimes people just need to be put in there place ;)

Got a couple good frags in this game, definately worth the watch! I will be uploading more demos in the near future as the UT2004 picks up once again here in south africa. With the absence of local Q4 tourney's the duel servers here have picked up a little as we all look forward to the much anticipated UT2007.

Enjoy!
