Pontus "
Zhu" Åberg (also known as Zhucide , zhuuuLa, ath, alltimehigh, athnator, aberg, athzrd, art_cp) has been using wall-hack the last months during official and non officials matches (examples:
ESH TDM with
aCtion were he won 250pounds and several
ESL CTF Cups with
Drugs & Porn).
Zhu confessed an hour before this video went online. It was leaked that this video was in the making.
I hope after Jaz, and now Zhu that Quakelive should really get some kind of anti cheat.

David
"
deus" Kinnaird is one of the best Quakelive TDM player in Europe. He played for the best teams in the world such as: 4Kings, Iron Fist, Gunzoids and Fnatic. About two months ago Fnatic officially announced that David would join Reason Gaming and play in the DHS'11 TDM tournament. LowLandLions decided to interview deus about his switch from Fnatic to reason, poker, his playing style and more.
Q: What do you think about the 3 new TDM maps in the mappool? (Dreadfulplace , Purgatory & Hidden Fortress)
deus_: I think it's nice to have some new maps around and I think the more we all play them the better the maps get as everyone is working out what the best tactics are for each map.
Q: What map would you rather not see in the mappool? Why? Which map should replace it?
deus_: I guess maybe cpm4 it just doesn't work in Quakelive, it's all about timing LG and playing for yourself not really a good team play map.

The new Quakelive community site
PlayQuake.com interviewed the House of Quake admins
wBOBc and
HowHard. Here is a snippet:
HoQ started off as a small site, are you pleased with how it’s evolved and do you have any plans to improve the site in the future?
We’re also planning a LAN some point this year in the UK (Manchester), no info as of yet but it will definitely be happening some point this year. We’re also talking to what is hopefully going to be our new sponsor (no names yet but it’s a big unexpected brand), if so then we hope to provide big prizes @ the LAN and possibly the leagues as well.

Q50 (Captain of UK) decided to interview a few of the ClanBase NationsCup captains. This interview can be found on the newly launched website
Playquake.com.
Preview:Are there any maps in the 7 map pool that you think probably shouldn’t be there?
PAINEE (Germany): I still think siberia shouldnt be in the pool. its way to defensive and tdm related but some ppl still seem to like it. i rather see finnegans added instead of siberia. but im totally fine with the rest of the mappool.

German community site
Fragster decided to interview
Juven1le &
bab of RAGE Gaming's Quakelive squad.
Preview:Juven1le: I started out watching old Quake 3 demos of top players. I started playing alot and I got around 1.800 TDM games total in Quake Live. I don't have any "personal cheats" besides a comfortable setup that I've been playing on for ages. Ingame I mainly try and be as dynamic as possible, dishing out damage wherever I can.

Professional Gaming team SK-Gaming interviewed one of the most entertaining players outside Quake. fnatic's player
Sebastian "
Spart1e" Siira. How will he do at Kiev? What are his toughs on his Group.
Little preview:
Would I be right in saying that it's been a while since I've seen a dominant Spart1e?
Yeah that is true. I didn't change much in my playingstyle, while everyone else changed a lot and got a lot better. I find it hard to learn new things and change what needs to be changed when I am always tired while practising. The times that I improve are when I can concentrate on Quake and only on Quake.

After the announcement by
tybalt of a
possible TDM 4v4 LAN tournament at the next DreamHack Summer,
RAGE Gaming decided to pick up team
METSU, 3rd of the 22nd CB EuroCup. With this organization backing them up, the possibility of seeing METSU on the hypothetical DreamHack 4v4 TDM LAN grown by far.
"Today it is with great pleasure, that RG-Esports announce our Quake Live TDM team. It was Shayan Taleb that got this potential team in our sights and when he unfortunately passed away, the contact with the team withered for a while but eventually we resumed the negotiations. And here we are, we are very glad that we have managed to pick up this team. I want to thank all of our supporters and sponsors, Enuzi-Gameware, Suxus Hosting, VERYGAMES and Enuzi-Clothing for their continued support."
"It is a big step for former Metsu to join a new organisation like Rage Gaming seconds before our first final match in EMS. We are very pleased with the amount of a new cooperation. Thanks to RG-eSport and our new sponsors to believe in Quake Live and TDM."

solid (havent tested it yet but we can try it out , ive heard it was a nice 2on2 CPM map)
tourney6 (if they change weaponrespawn time it could be very good 2on2 map again)
dm20 (dont like it so much i gues its a decent 2on2 map)
ztn (awesome 2on2 map)
intervention (always been a good 2on2 map, i know some people dont like it cause its abit to big)
dm6 (very good 2on2 map, just its very old and maybe can be replaced if REALLY new good 2on2 maps are coming)

Thoughts on other 2on2 maps? id love to see more 2on2 cups/leagues instead of boring duel

After the capture of
Pelle "
fazz" Soderman and
Richard "
noctis" Gansterer, two big names in the Quake Live scene last week, Reason Gaming have finally decided on the addition of two further players, who will complete the TDM squad for

zyv" Sirén, previously of miel and cherubim.
All of the players have played together previously in hhc, and have allready qualified for EMS, where they will now be representing Reason Gaming.
"I am very pleased with the amount of talent we have gathered to our team and I strongly believe we will be conteders for any tournament title in which we participate in."
The
Reason.QL lineup is now:

After Reason-Gaming picked up a Quakelive squad, there British rivals Dignitas strengthen there lineup with Swedish Quakelive player
Michael "madix" Hindersson.
madix is already qualified for the IEM European Championship but he will also attend the Dreamhack Winter event in late November.
I'm really excited to join up with a famous and respected organization like Team Dignitas. I look forward to representing Team Dignitas at the upcoming Online and Offline events such as zotac, IEM European Finals and Dreamhack Winter. This has also given me new motivation to practise hard with my new team mates GaRpY and zsx to achieve the results we are most definitely capable of. The goal has always been world domination one step at a time and this is a huge one in the right direction :D/

Reason Gaming have recently removed their Call of Duty 4 Squad and have tonight announced the addition of two Quake Live duellers to their ranks. The players are none other than well known faces
Pelle "
fazz" Soderman and
Richard "
noctis" Gansterer. Also joining as the team's manager will be
Karl-Erik "
tybalt" Danielsson.
On their homepage the Reason management said they will be looking to add a couple of TDM players soon so the team can compete in the upcoming ESL EMS Tournament, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
I am very pleased that myself and fazz, one of my former players, have managed to start cooperating with such an established and respected organisation such as Reason-Gaming. I am sure both fazz and noctis will prove to be highly valuable assets for the team and will hopefully place well at future events. As for myself, I am looking forward to working with Reason-Gaming and building a strong Quake Live team.
I'm looking forward to representing Reason gaming in as many Quakelive tournaments as I can, I will do my best and have a blast at the same time!
You will be able to see both of the guys in action at Dreamhack Winter LAN in November.

3. $2500
4. $2000
5. $1500
6. $1250

8. $750
9/12. $500
9/12. $500
9/12. $500
9/12. $500
this will attract more new or not just top4/5 players for atleast playing LAN tournaments

Players' Statements:
First of all, I am really happy that I qualified for the ESL Pro Series Benelux LAN finals. It will be fun to meet up with everyone for the very first time considering this will be my first LAN event.
Most of the players that qualified for this LAN belong to the very best of the Benelux community. Since I am unbeaten the whole season I don't expect anything else then playing for the first place.
First of all, I am very happy that we finally have a Quakelive EPS in the Benelux, a lot of effort and time has been put in by several people, I really appreciate this. With this I hope to see alot more Quake Live EPS in the long term. I hope I have time to practice this last 2 weeks so I can do alot better then in the EPS groupstage, with almost beating burnedd and winning with a bit of luck vs sc00t, I hope with some practice this will improve my chances to close games to hopefully winning convincingly.
As Burnedd is being unbeaten in the EPS, I expect him to go for the first place, although I don't think it will come for free. As Draven and I have played such a close game, I expect either him or me to take that second place. All dependant of who is practising more for this final
Cya @ LAN8.
I have been playing the Call of Duty series at the highest level for several years in teams such as Team EDiT and Serious Gaming. After Quake Live got released I decided to give it a shot and I guess everything worked out perfectly considering I will be going to the ESL Pro Series Benelux LAN finals this month! The players that I have to face really belong to the "Benelux elite". All three players have been playing Quake 4 and/or Quake 3 which means they have way more experience than me in duel games
I don't expect anything from myself, the most important thing for me is to gain experience, having fun and to meet up with draven, Sc00T and burnedd!.

At the end of each first division season the winner gets directly a slot into the next EPS
There will be relegation matches between the EAS(ladder) and the first division at the end of each season.
There's no possibility for a team to qualify into the EPS without playing a first division season.

Good news for Benelux
Quakelive
players.
A few weeks ago the EAS (European Amateur Series) were opened and if certain activity & signups criteria were met, an EPS (ESL
Pro Series) would get started. ESL Benelux only has a budget for 4 EPS games.
* Counter-Strike: Source 5on5
(1750 €)
* Counter-Strike 1.6 5on5
(1750 €)
* Call of Duty 4 5on5
(1200 €)
* Trackmania 1on1
(550 €)
The reason they picked Trackmania Nations Forever
over Quake Live
, although both communities had similar activity, is because they just had to choose something. See of it as a random pick. ESL
Benelux
saw how much potential the Quakelive
scene in Benelux
has. Almost about 90 signups at the EAS ladder and similar and even more activity then other games.
Therefore they decided to give Quakelive
a "supported" EPS which the following:
That’s why WSquared decided to host a supported ESL
PRO SERIES game. That game will be Quake Live
1on1. We will host an entire season of epic matches, we are working on a hardware package of prices and we will host LAN finales. We’ll do our best to achieve this, so stay tuned for more information.
This means that there will be an EPS after all, though with hardware prizes rather than money. This is what ESL
refers to as a “supported” EPS. If you’re from the Benelux
area, sign up for the EAS and start playing!

My mouse randomly freezes for short instants of time, then works again. It worked great for the longest time, and now this.
When it happens, the cursor freezes, the red light from underneath the mouse stops, and windows makes the usual "a USB device has been unplugged/plugged-in" sounds. The actual freeze length depends... goes from 5-15 seconds. Any suggestions?

I mean cpmavq3 is just better.. i havent heard 1 single good arguement why to stick with osp. Q3 VQ3CPMA (its not fast weapon switch and other movement.. ) is the future and can be updated if the community doesnt like something... maybe the servers like xs4all etc should just switch to cpma then maybe the players will switch to cause they wont now... cause there stupid ? or stubborn ?
its like playin xbattle when you got q4max :(

My thoughts about CPL ITALY you can disagree but i agree with this
Good points
-Good pizza
-Nice people in ITALY
-Alcohol was quite cheap
-Prize money is good
-Centre was nice, nice restaurants and like old buildings and stuff there was also like a bridge of 2500 years old
-I had a good hotel(Sud point hotel was cheap but like 15-20mins walk to venue)
-Big venue room for enough newbs like me ;(
-We didnt had to wake up to early was nicee !
Bad points
-Single elimination when it could easily be double if we started to play on friday, also the time between matches were like 2/3hours i mean i knew fazz and fox had to like wait like 3 hours i think before they played a match ;(
-Venue was hard to find. Im sure everyone had to look for it in the begin
-Noise of the people that were shopping at elektro expo was sometimes quite annoying but when your focussed you dont notice it
-Monitors were really bad
-Mappool ( mean 4 maps sucks there should be like 5 atlea st +1map
Pictures coming soon !

Picmip included to new q4max?
i mean you set picmip with image_ etc
but it would be nice if you could put it thru gui like picmip 0 till 3 (not like winz cfg ye!) would be fair enough i see no reason why it shouldnt be allowed?
share your thought here!
ps i allready know alot people use it, and would appreciate it
