You're a slave to the money then you die (18 comments)

'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life
Trying to make ends meet
You're a slave to money then you die
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the places
where all the veins meet yeah

No change, I can't change
I can't change, I can't change
But I'm here in my mind
I am here in my mind
But I'm a million different people
from one day to the next
I can't change my mind
No, no, no, no, no, no, no,no,no,no,no,no(fading away)

Well I never pray
But tonight I'm on my knees yeah
I need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me, yeah
I let the melody shine, let it cleanse my mind, I feel free now
But the airways are clean and there's nobody singing to me now

No change, I can't change
I can't change, I can't change
But I'm here in my mind
I am here in my mind
And I'm a million different people
from one day to the next
I can't change my mind
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
I can't change
I can't change it

'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life
Trying to make ends meet
Trying to find some money then you die
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the places
where all the veins meet yeah

You know I can't change, I can't change
I can't change, I can't change
But I'm here in my mind
I am here in my mind
And I'm a million different people
from one day to the next
I can't change my mind
No, no, no, no, no

I can't change my mind
no, no, no, no, no,
I can't change
Can't change my body,
no, no, no

I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
Been down
Ever been down
Ever been down
Ever been down
Ever been down
That you've ever been down
That you've ever been down

If you want to call me baby (34 comments)
Posted by Backstab @ 06:20 CDT, 16 August 2007 - iMsg
One, two princes kneel before you
That what I said now
Princes, princes who adore you
Just go ahead now
One has diamonds in his pockets
That's some bread, now
This one said he wants to buy you rockets
Ain't in his head, now

This one he got a princely racket
That's what I said now
Got some Big Seal upon his jacket
Ain't in his head now
You marry him, your father will condone you
How 'bout that now
You marry me, your father will disown you
He'll eat his hat, now

Marry him, marry me
I'm the one that loved you baby can't you see?
Ain't got no future or family tree
But I know what a prince and lover ought to be
I know what a prince and lover ought be

Said if you want to call me baby
Just go ahead now
And if you like to tell me maybe
Just go ahead now
And if you wanted to buy me flowers
Just go ahead now
And if you like to talk for hours
Just go ahead now

Said one, two princes kneel before you
That what I said now
Princes, princes who adore you
Just go ahead now
One has diamonds in his pockets
That's some bread, now
This one said he wants to buy you rockets
Ain't in his head, now

Marry him, marry me

And if you like to tell me maybe
Just go ahead now
And if you wanted to buy me flowers
Just go ahead now
And if you like to talk for hours
Just go ahead now

Just go ahead now
And if you like to tell me maybe
Just go ahead now
And if you like to buy me flowers

And if you like to talk for hours
Just go ahead now
If you want to call me baby
Just go ahead now
And if you like to tell me maybe
Just go ahead now
If you want to buy me flowers
Just go ahead now
And if you like to talk for hours
Just go ahead now
Oh Baby!
Just go ahead now
Oh!
Just just go ahead now
Oh, your majesty!
Just go ahead now
Come on forget the King who... marry me!
Just go ahead now
Come on, come on, come on
Just go ahead now
Go ahead now
Just go ahead now, etc.

Recommend me a game (132 comments)
Posted by Backstab @ 06:52 CDT, 11 March 2007 - iMsg
Recommend me a nice, preferably single player game, must be fun to play, but most importantly, must have many many unlockables, this could mean just simly leveling up, or minigames, new guns, new gamemodes, characters etc.

Gameplay doesnt really matter, nor wherter or not its played online, just something thats fun to play.

Oh, and sorry for any typos, im not wearing my contacts

Wow, recently downloaded this game for pc with a mousepatch, and it pretty much rocks. Not really scary, but nothing beats the feeling of being in a house with literally dozens of infected farmers coming at you. Man o man, gonna play again soon.

Anyone else plays this?

And here in holland that means that we will have another list of the best songs of all times. With that coming up, i want to give you 2 songs i think are the best ever. Make sure you will never forget these classics.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzANxm3_2DQ

I used to listen to this song when I was young and started rocking. Me as a little kid of 6. Then I heard it, and more importantly lived it once again while watching the movie Waynes World. In the scene where they enjoy this song they show you how its supposed to be heard. Amazing. Now, 11 years after I first heard it I still enjoy every single part of it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONXp-vpE9eU

I only heard this song recently. In the period I used to listen to a lot of modern day trance. This song started playing and I just closed my eyes and lived the song. The music is just timeless. Amazing perfomance.

Dismiss the noobs from the internet (6 comments)
Posted by Backstab @ 10:47 CST, 9 November 2006 - iMsg
I hereby call forth all of you to join me in my battle vs. noobs.

First we go way way way back, and all I will say is: The Annoying Thing. This might not sound familiar to most of you, until i rephrase it to the more known term: Crazy Frog.
I remember watching The Annoying Thing for the first time with a friend and we both just couldn't stop laughing, it was simply amazing.
But then the noobs got hold of it. Showing it in mobile phone commercials every 2 minutes really made me, and probably most people that saw it before go crazy.

Next case: the dancing hippo. Was great fun, until I saw it everyday at least twice.

Then more recent: Boten Anna. Although not necessarily an internet movie/hype/whatever it did come to most of us over the net. You might have liked it, you might not, but that's not important right now. The problem is those that didn't see it before enjoyed it, thus it got played more and more. Then, here in Holland, we got two imbeciles who made a parady about it, which got played probably more, and now with the holidays coming up they made a special edition about 'Sinterklaas', which could be seen as the Dutch counterpart of "Santa Clause"

Of course, this pisses me of, but the worst is yet to come.

Remember Loituma.swf? I remember it as the only flash movie I left playing for over 5 hours in a row, the song was great etc. So the mobile phone companies picked it up and released it on mobiles. I can live with it, because deep inside i still like the song, but yesterday I was listening to a Dutch radio station, where they have a feature called Music Match. 2 songs compete, the one that receives the most votes will be played. First song was evanessence, I hate them, but ok, the music is fine. But then came the moment of judgement.
The DJ started telling about this song, that it came from the internet etc, so it got my attention, i listened more closely. The he started telling about a pink elephant singing the song. I thought: nowai. Then a small part was played. I literally shut down the radio, crawled under my blankets and hid from the mad outside world. They did the same to it as they did to the annoying thing, a crap song.

Id say: ban all noobs from the internet, so we can watch tv withouth getting annoyed with crappy shit weve seen thousands of times.

I know this journal sucks, the typing is bad and theres no such thing as a developing plot, but i still need to get this off my chest.

Round Based vs. Respawn Based Games (6 comments)
Posted by Backstab @ 04:03 CDT, 2 September 2006 - iMsg
To start off my first journal: Im not good at any games. I like to play them, play them a lot, and try to enjoy them while playing, but I never competed at a high level.

I recently made the switch back from playing mainly Quake 3 to playing Call of Duty 2. Why? Beats me, but all I can say is that I enjoy it a bit more. Does it has to do with my history? (playing Call of Duty 1 for years) Or do I just like the aspect of teamwork?

I prefered the fast-paced style of Quake 3, the balanced weapons, and especially the ammount of skill required to take some shots. For some it might be easy, but I still find it hard to aim my rockets, and everytime I make some nice kills with it I'm literally cheering behind my pc.

But Call of Duty 2 is about as random as the lottery. People are able to just get an automatic (one of them even containing 71 bullets) and don't bother about aiming down the sight and are still able to instant kill you from the other side of the map. Almost every weapon is rather random, and 100% accuracy is only achieved by aiming the down the sight. You will get killed thousands of times by an instant headshot (headshot is instant death, every weapon, every distance), but somehow I still love to play the game.

But this has nothing to do with the weapons, the maps, the setting (I prefer the ambiance of the basic q3 maps a lot more), but the teamplay. The primary Call of Duty 2 gametype used in matches is Search and Destroy. Very similair to CS. If you die you have to wait for the next round to respawn, and this is where the fun happens.

You advance as a team, everyone knows where to throw their nade, shotgun advances around the corner first, followed by a long-range weapon. On defence everyone has their own position, not picked for their effectiveness, but only spots that can easily be covered by another teammate.

Yes, I know TDM and CTF require a great deal of teamplay, and it could be even more complicated (I don't know, I never played either of those at a high level) But somehow deciding wherter or not to pick up a certain weapon or the Red Armor doesn't give me the same satisfaction as using 2 players to safely get around a corner, knowing 2 teammates of you are doing the same thing and the sniper is watching your back.

But does this have to do with my own personal preference? I can't really give an opinion on that, but some of you might. This Journal has been rather biased, mainly because I never got into "the scene" of TDM/CTF. If you did, please give your opinion about this article.

And be sure to try out Call of Duty 2, you might regret it, but I think most of you will definately like it.
