Hi Guys!

I'm thinking about buying the Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical Mouse. At the moment i use the SteelSeries Xai. Just wondered if it's useful or good to switch to the MS Mouse or to stick to the Xai for good.

Maybe you guys can help me out. Or someone's got a better idea which mouse to buy.

(Notice: for gaming i'm using the mouse left-handed!)

TIA!

Happy Birthday ID Software! (13 comments)

On this day back in 1991, a little four-man PC game development house was born, and you may have heard of it. It’s called id Software and they were making waves in the shareware market with games about an adventurous little kid called “Commander Keen”. They’ve come a long way since with their Wolfenstein, DOOM and Quake games and have changed the face of gaming forever. They started out with just four members, and today, only two original staffers are still there. The office has grown in leaps and bounds over the past few years and they now boast a staff roster of over 100 talented members working on a few “AAA” titles at once. The other big thing this year is that this is the first anniversary where id Software is no longer a privately owned entity since the buyout by Zenimax. A lot of things have changed over the years, but they’re still id Software and they still make the games that drive many people’s dreams, including mine. So happy birthday id Software, and may you have many, many more!

Posted by bates @ 04:07 CST, 11 November 2009 - iMsg
Yesterday there was a little Quake Live Update going on.
Sync Error mentioned that these changes do not reflect the bulk of what id is been working on lately. It was important to release a fix to a recently discovered game exploit, and work progresses in other areas for an upcoming update.

Here are the Updates which where made:
* Fixed demo playback for demos with long file names.
* Fixed the accuracy menu to update properly in Clan Arena.
* Fixed the players-left-alive count to update properly in Clan Arena when an alive player disconnects.
* Fixed banned players' profile pages to once again report the status of their suspension.
* Fixed issues that had arose with the Match tool-tips.
* Changed 'cg_gibs 0' to now entirely disable the death spark effects.
* Changed Cobalt Station - qzdm16's max player limit to 8 players in CTF mode.
