So, my training is going forward. Like you have said I played a bit against bots, but after some time I got bored.

I mainly played Galang vs. SABot. I managed to pull off 40:3 scores, so I guess not that bad ;) There were moments when I hit >60% rail and the game was sooo smooth. Hehe ;) Well, after a week of playing against bots I got bored. It got a little bit too schematic, the bot always goes the same path and is so much predictable.

Then I rejoined online and... doh, the game felt so much different. I guess it was the ping (can't get anything below 30 :( I mean I can get like 20-30 to Polish servers but a) nobody plays here :( b) nobody wants to play with a noob :( ). So I try some foreing servers but the minimum ping I get is 50-60. And it feels so different. It even somehow affects my sensitivity or smth, I dunno, but it seems like I need to do wider moves with the mouse to do the sme moves in the game. Whatever.

Of course, I played two or three games online and got beaten no less than before. ;) Argh, but I'm not gonna give up!

Someone advised me to try Rocket Arena. So I did yesterday and man! It's soooooo great. I know the skill required is much lower than to dueling, but for me it's perfect. Of course I get owned pretty much everytime, but sometimes I do score a round and it's pretty motivating ;P So now my plan is to play some RA for some time, like 3 or 4 months and see what happens then. I need to learn this game movement, catch its feeling, etc. And learn to think more - to predict the opponnents moves.

;)

I've bought Q4 few days ago and I'm so hooked ;) Very cool game. Of course, as everyone, I'd like to become good and stuff in it, but I know it's hard.

I've been playing online like 10 or 12 times already but I feel it's not really it. I don't mean the game but my results. When I score 1 frag than it's awesome ;P But usually it's like 40:0 or 30:-2...

I know that in order to become good you have to practice practice practice, but somehow I feel I'm doing it wrong... I've read fooKi's guides "mistakes duellers make" about practicing and he said that it's best to play with ppl of your skill level.

But my question is where do I find such low level? I tried #skq4 with "low" but I guess I'm even lower since the lowest score I've managed to pull of was 18:0 ;P And running around the map waiting to be killed is not so good I think, I mean it doesn't give me anything but frustration.

Do you maybe know any place where I could meet other people that are new to Quake4? Or maybe you could give me some important hints for a complete newbie?
