hi, according to Microsoft Technical Data Sheet, Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 have
Tracking Speed Up to 54 inches (1371 millimeters) per second
Tracking Acceleration Up to 25G

while, Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical 1.1a and Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical 1.1a have only Tracking Speed Up to 20 inches (508 millimeters) per second,

the rest of specs is the same,

Tracking Technology
Mouse Tracking System Microsoft-proprietary optical technology
Imaging Rate Dynamically adaptable to 9000 frames per second
X-Y Resolution 400 points per inch (15.75 points per millimeter)

is that really such a different? coz what i heard was this 3 model use the same optical sensor.

hi, i just tested this wired mouse, Microsoft Optical Mouse 200, price is very cheap, it's using avago sensor, model unknown, can confirm it doesnt have prediction.

7G default port PS/2 vs 6Gv2 default USB (77 comments)
Posted by Alpha_Tay @ 14:09 CDT, 1 September 2011 - iMsg
hi, the SteelSeries mechanical keyboard 7G by default came with PS/2 port, plus a PS/2 to USB adapter for usb connection, and 6Gv2 by default came with USB port, plus a USB to PS/2 adapter for PS/2 connection, i know all that NKRO stuff and 7G/6Gv2 features differentiate, i just dont know/understand why the default port is different and does it effect the keyboard performance except NKRO or anything else, thx in adv.

UPDATE:

reply from SteelSeries support,

Mike S
SteelSeries support

Does not affect keyboard performance to any visible extent. We reversed the connection because it simply makes more sense in this day and age where very few motherboards still have ps2 ports - or just have one - and USB is by far the primary connection method.

Feel free to let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks,
Mike S
