Anyone played this game? I've been trying to work up the nerve to beat it but end up dying or quitting out of fear :<

It's a free d/l, check it out if you like horror games. The goal is to collect 8 items, and to not look at the enemy while doing so

I used to own a creative soundcard a few years back in q4 days but eventually it stopped working for some reason (cant remember why). Initially I was very happy with it. Hopefully I'll be building a new pc in the coming months, and im interested in a sound card but know nothing about them honestly

Have you recently bought a sound card and do you think it is worth the money for music and games that can take advantage of it?

Also what brands/models are on top these days? I'd rather not just go to newegg and see what's most expensive..

not too concerned about price just quality

I have a problem with my graphics settings, and im hoping that there is some simple command to fix it. When playing in windowed mode everything is fine. When i switch to fullscreen though all the textures become... lines... and stuff. I've tried updating my video drivers so i dont think thats it. It just randomly started happening too, i cant really think of anything i changed before hand. Any idea how to make full screen mode the same as windowed?

I took pics with camera sorry for bad quality though you dont really need good quality to see the difference. First one is windowed mode, second is what happens when i fullscreen.

by default in qlive every time u pick something up your crosshair gets bigger and then goes back to the normal size. anyone know the command to stop this?

Anyone know any way to get single player to work on 1.4.2? There aren't very many players online anymore and i figure i might as well try it. I dont feel like reinstalling but i heard once that you could make a new q4 folder w/ a different patch or something. Im not sure how to do that though

im trying to connect to this server (the jex server for those of you who know it) but it says i need to download like 3.36 mb to connect. so i start the d/l and it says something like 0.00 kb / 23.70 mb. wtf? anyways i let it d/l to the end and it finally says pak is corrupted. I look in the console and it says:

whats weird is i've downloaded that (from the link) and replaced it in my q4base folder. But it still wants me to download the thing from the server. I really dont know if what i need is 23 mb or 3.
I guess its not that big a deal but i ping really well to that server and its in my time zone. Anyone know what to do?
