There's been a huge uproar in the CS:GO scene concerning Simon 'smn' Beck getting caught cheating and taking a bunch of pro players down with him, accusing them to have cheated on LAN.
If there's any truth to this, it's pretty fucking huge.

Just recently I started to embrace this beauty of a Videogame. A real pleasure to watch and play.
After watching almost all of the available Jaedong VODs with english commentary (VioleTAK-Channel on youtube), I wondered if you guys have favourite games or must-see-games I really have to watch. Preferebly with english commentary, since I'm still learning the mechanics and somehow need the in-depth analysis.

As the title states, this is my problem. It's pretty much completely unplayable for me.
Usually I'm using fox' cfg and when I reset everything on the QL-Page everything seems to work just fine, so I tried changing his netsettings to the default ones.
Instead of
cl_maxpackets "125"
rate "25000"
I tried
cl_maxpackets "63"
rate "16000"
Doesn't help at all.
I'm on a 20MB line and pingtest.net tells me my connection is Grade A (wohoo) with no packetloss at all.
i watched some stand-ups the last few days including 'Kill the messenger' by Chris Rock, 'Like, totally' by Dylan Moran and some show by Robin Williams. all three were pretty awesome with Williams being a bit over the top.
Has anyone heard their current album "White lies for dark times"?
I saw them play last weekend at the Hurricane Festival, expecting some laid back raggea/acoustic stuff like 'Burn one down'.
Instead they blew the audience away with some of the most energetic rock songs, i've ever heard.
Their sound was awesome, Bens voice and lyrics find it's way directly into your heart.
Best performance of the weekend, outplaying Nick Cave, Faith No More and Nine Inch Nails. (imo)

Austin police were called to an incident late on New Year's Eve at 7th Street's Beauty Bar after a patron, later identified as Allen, smashed a television with a gaming accessory and threw the console at a passing car outside the bar. Eyewitness accounts tell the story of a frustrated, perhaps intoxicated Allen, repeatedly striking a large plasma screen television with a small plastic guitar until the unit fell to the floor from its lofty position on the wall. "The television just quite exploded," recalled one stunned onlooker. "I've never seen anything like it. Three or four times might have been enough to take it out, but he kept pounding after it had hit the floor." Another shaken Beauty Bar patron had a hard time understanding Allen's intentions. "I mean, I get the guy and his band smash their equipment after gigs and stuff, but I don't really see the point to smashing a little plastic guitar."
Multi-talented Trail of Dead member, friend, Beauty Bar owner, and licensed intermediary Jason Reece refused to press charges against Allen and tried to provide an insight into the blowup. "I've known Kevin for years and he's one of the most competitive people I know," Reece declared. "He was trying to prove to one of the guys in the Sword that he could do that crazy DragonForce song 100% on expert and he messed up during the long solo. You know, the totally over the top, masturbatory three minute solo towards the end. I can relate, man. The game has an effect on people. I guess he just got a little frustrated and decided he didn't want to play anymore."
Allen was released later in the evening on his own recognizance after Austin police determined he no longer posed a substantial threat.

Hi,
yesterday i switched back to cnq3 1.42, 'cause 1.43 gave me huge fps drops.
since i did that, every demo i record feels like it runs on timescale 1.50 or smth.
i didn't change anything else on my system. any ideas?
i am currently trying to get LucasArts' Jedi Knight to work on my PC. So far i'm not getting further than 47% of the InstallShield Wizard, because it fails with this error MSG:
ISSET_SE caused a General Protection Fault in module KRNL386.EXE at 0002:173A. Choose close. ISSET_SE will close.
I googled a bit about this and just found a lot of threads where people tell you to uninstall or deactivate Norton Security. Since i never had anything Symantec related installed, that won't work for me.
I have WinXP Pro. SP3 installed and I mounted the *.cue file with Deamon tools. I also tried to copy the CD and install it through my real DVD-Drive. Didn't work.
ideas?

i know, i know ... there are a million threads like this, but i cba to search through. i spend a significant amount of my time at work today, to search for cheap flights from germany to barcelona.
sad thing is, i didn't find any good offers.
no "OMGZORS 1CENT PER FLIGHT" or anything. cheapest i could find was Air Berlin for 69€ / person. everything else was 150€ or higher. so i'm asking if you guys have any experience with cheap flights or already travelled from Dortmund/Düsseldorf to Barcelona.

There was quite a big fuss about 1on1 gaming lately. The 1on1 CPM open cup, the Autus Autumn, the upcoming ESWC Tourney. The last few days i startet to think about that, since i played an one-on-one sport myself. Tennis.
I followed the Tennis-scene for quite a long time now, and i have to say that it's the only sport that "keeps it real" to itself. It's still about "Hardcourt"-players vs. "Clay"-players. It's still about Henman winning Wimbledon. It's still about those thriller-matches, getting settled in five sets at 50°C in australia.
It doesn't make you a favourite, if you're like #12 seed in the tourney. You have names against you like Fabrice Santoro, Sebastien Grosjean, Philipp Kohlschreiber, who will challenge you for the best tennis you're able to play with a #4 seed. It's all about your determination. Everybody is able to beat everybody. It's ZE only left really 1on1-sport out there. Hands down.
I'm really drunk, so pls forgive my vocabulary and/or grammar. And forgive me, if you don't get my point. :D

I experienced Problems with this shitty Catalyst driver before. After a reinstall Windows froze couple of times, screen went black couple of times...things like that. 5-10 reboots usually solved the problem. o_0
Yesterday it "destroyed" my whole system. I couldn't start Q3, 'cause of an Hardware Deadlock. It came from thin air ... 2 days ago i played it, caused a Hardware Deadlock yesterday.

Around the 20th or 30th reboot, BIOS beeps long with a pause. Memory or VGA issues. FUCK THAT. I didn't touch the memory at all.
Some time ago i overclocked my 2800 XP so i went to undo that, 'cause of the AGP voltage. didn't work. Tried it with a PCI Voodoo3 (hehe). didn't work.
So, after 2hours of trying out this&that and having 256MB memory left, i'm stuck right before the Windows BootUp Sequence which leads me to the conclusion that my HDD broke down. All because the shitty driver doesn't work .......
I'M SO FUCKING RAGED!
