Ok so whoever plays ESEA knows about the monthly prizes. They have a bunch of categories and the top user in that category wins the prize for that category. Some categories you can win video cards, and some headsets. The one I was leading in you could win a mouse pad. Great may seem lame to you, but I wanted that shit hard. I got the video cards and the headsets, I even have a mouse pad. But I was like fragin' and fragin' in the aim category for that mouse pad, hundreds of frags a head of second and third place...


THEN BAM!


In the middle of the month May 14th they change it.


Now they added more categories and made all the prizes random. I'm not even sure that if I'm 1st that I may even get a prize. Here's what it says on the site:

"Prizes from our Market are given out randomly to Premium members. The above categories (displayed in both random order and combination) represent the possible categories we will randomly choose at the end of a given month."

So if I do win, I might not even get a mouse pad, like I was working hard to get. I might end up with some video card or headset instead.

I am trying to find a good way to switch from the gauntlet, to rail, shoot, and switch back. I've tried making a scripted but just failed all over.

I don't know if its possible to do something like that. If it isn't is there a way I could have a last weapon bind? I tried using weapprev and weapnext, but it never switches back to the gauntlet, as you know. However I think it could be possible to make a script that switches to gauntlet to rail and back, I just don't know how.

Any help with this would be awesome, if not I guess I'll just bind gauntlet to 1 and rail to 2.

I've been looking around to rent a private CPMA (and other mods) server, but all I can find are minimum 10 slot servers. I don't want to pay for the extra slots, or get a server from another country. :/

Anyone know a good provider where I can get a 4 slot private server?

I've been wanting these since they where announced. They're beast. I just can't justify the price. Since I live in Canada I need to pay $100 for shipping w/ duties paid. So it ends up costing $350 instead of $250.

I'm pretty satisfied with my current headset, it has great soundstage and music on it isn't too bad. Even though the fake leather is cracking its still very comfortable.

Anyways I was just wondering people's opinion on this headset, and the mixamp.

I have a few questions about timers in CPMA. I'm fairly new to Quake 3, so bare with me.

My friend who plays Q2 tells me that timers are just wav files that people make. He also said that timers are accepted among the community. He gave me a link to some Q2 timers but they all pretty much sucked in my book. I thought of making my own but I have a few questions first.

Are timers aloud in leagues and/or tourney?
Do people frown upon timers in pickups and such?
How do timers work, are they like in Q2?
Can you use timers in Quake Live atm?
Where could I get some for dueling?
What are the spawn times for items?
Whats the best way to use timers? E.g., what to bind them to, when to activate them, tips, etc.
