We, humans, have to operate our gaming alter-ego by virtue of limbs' fingers manipulating keyboard+mouse conjunction, being pretty detached ourselves although. Nevertheless, for our perception all visual impressions we acquire in-game are so estimable, that you can continue playing some map in other state of consciousness during physical body's sleeping period. In this blog I upload various memorable frames, any of which can provide you unusual feeling, even if it was shot on a map you've played hundreds of hours.

DEFRAG WORLD CUP 2010 Map Contest (9 comments)
Posted by ZubnaRpasta @ 14:58 CDT, 20 October 2009 - iMsg
Dear DeFRaG community, we are happy to announce the map contest for DFWC2010. DFWC2010 will consist of 6 rounds + 1 qualification round.

Each mapper that wants to participate in the contest, should send his map with an approximate descripition of it. Maps selection will be accomplished by a commitee of three judges (GT-Agressor, apparaat, gnj).

Send your maps untill the 1st of December, 2009 to dfwc2010@gmail.com. Maps should be ready till the 1st of January, 2010. Then, it'll take commitee at least 2 weeks to test, judge, and choose maps for DFWC2010 rounds. Mappers can also participate as a player. As previous DFWCs have shown there are no big advantages for a mapper.

We hope to receive some nice maps!

Speedcapture.com relaunch! (76 comments)

Hey CTFers! (And not only CTFers) Not so long ago www.speedcapture.com site was relaunched. It contains almost 4500 (!) fastest demos, recorded in Quake3's mod Defrag on 'Capture the flag' maps. The point is to carry an "enemy" flag to your base as fast as possible using your strafe/trickjumping skills. In my opinion, trying yourself in this new gametype will be interesting for everyone, not just CTF players.

For more detailed information head over to the site www.speedcapture.com.

defrag_1.91.16.zip is the newest version of defrag mod.
