Zowie evo ec2 or evo cl? (No comments)
Posted by Conditioned @ 01:47 CDT, 26 July 2014 - iMsg
So since my middle button on the ec2 evo has started to doubleclick after..1-1.5 years of heavy usage I´m considering changing models.

I absolutely adore this mouse and has probably been the first mouse in history that I have been really happy with.

Im considering the zowie fk and evo cl for their coating but Im fairly sure that the shape of fk is slightly worse for me I just absolutely hate the colors of the evo cl. I dont suppose that theres a black evo cl? I would like to try to test the coating though since it seems quite good and they seem to have fixed the issues the coating had.

Also does anyone know the native resolution of the avago 3090?

How to add exes to win8.1 mousefix easy (9 comments)
Posted by Conditioned @ 00:48 CDT, 21 July 2014 - iMsg
So windows 8.1 has a little quirk that due to adjusting how mouse input works with very high resolution displays a lot of people have experienced problems with mouselag. .

The good news is that Microsoft released a fix for it, the bad that you have to add the game (or whatever) executables to the registry manually to adopt the mousefix for them. Apparently this doesn´t do anything to games with raw input.

This little fix makes it so you only have to right click on the exe´s to add them to the registry. Thought I´d share it since I find it pretty sweet and I haven´t seen it anywhere else. Full credit to dreamss on blurbusters forums:

download http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/nircmd.html and copy exes to c:\windows\
save this as mousefixcontext.reg and run it
right click on .exe and click on apply mouse fix

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\Fixmouselag]
@=”Apply Mouse Lag Fix”
“NoWorkingDirectory”=””

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\Fixmouselag\command]
@=”\”C:\\Windows\\nircmd.exe\” elevate cmd /c REG ADD \”HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows NT\\CurrentVersion\\AppCompatFlags\\Layers\” /v \”%1\” /d NoDTToDITMouseBatch /f && Rundll32 apphelp.dll,ShimFlushCache “

I put this on my onedrive https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=96B6875A64FE5C5A%21144. My av says it´s clean but you never know so it´s probably best to do it manually.

Posted by Conditioned @ 09:18 CST, 10 November 2013 - iMsg
So I have been on steelseries np+ for a few years now and I like it a lot and will probably get it again. Have tried the goliathus, both versions. I´m just wondering if theres a mousepad out there that has even higher friction?

Nvidia removes 0 pre rendered frames (103 comments)
Posted by Conditioned @ 02:15 CDT, 28 June 2012 - iMsg
In the 300 series of drivers Nvidia has removed the option to set 0 pre rendered frames. The lowest is 1, which gives ~10-20 ms added input lag. Please state how you feel about this at http://bit.ly/MYC5uJ.

The 200-series drivers still supports it, but we all know that within a near future they will not be updated and soon after there will be coming games which will be bugged with the old drivers.

Skatez. (11 comments)
Posted by Conditioned @ 05:02 CDT, 25 October 2011 - iMsg
Hi,

Have a Deathadder which I love (even though its a bit heavy). Just tested some skatez (mousefeet) that I got from razer. Wow what an improvement. Its a bit too smooth now almost, but it doesnt have the quality where its almost stuck when you start movin it, making small movements so much m ore easy. Also the friction seems to be increasing. Anyways, what are the best skatez for da? Im particularly curious about which ones might be the highest friction ones.

Roccat ko..+ (18 comments)
Posted by Conditioned @ 05:39 CST, 21 January 2011 - iMsg
Roccat kone+ and roccat kova+ seem to be sold now. Seems the Kone+ doesnt have prediction where as the regular(old) kone does. (source http://www.overclock.net/mice/854100-ocn-mous...sheet.html)

Do you know if the kova+ has prediction? I´m curious to try it.

Time for new keyboard with soft buttons (40 comments)
Posted by Conditioned @ 03:16 CST, 30 November 2010 - iMsg
So it´s that time again. I just swapped my mouse and mousepad and thanks to you guys I´m really happy.

I´m one of those people that are rather picky and have tried a lot of mousepads so your tips came to good use.

I have recently been reading about keyboards.

I currently have a Razer arctosa, and it´s pretty good except it has ghosting even though they claim that it has 'selective ghosting' I think they call it, ie aswd and around.

This doesn´t seem to be true (with and without drivers) as I sometimes try to change weapons without it ackowleding the keypress.

I would like a keyboard that:

Has very soft keys (like laptop keyboard or the abyss. my hands are in bad shape so I need them very soft or I experience pain. This is the main reason I´m opening a new thread even though there are 100 'Perfect keyboard threads)

Supports ps/2 (arctosa doesnt)

No ghosting

Swedish localization

Optional:

Multimedia keys (play/stop/volume)

Decently priced. This is the least important.

New rougher plastic mousepad (35 comments)
Posted by Conditioned @ 00:55 CDT, 2 November 2010 - iMsg
Hey,

I´m looking for a mousepad to replace my razer destructor. It´s a really good mousepad but after a little while it´s just too fast and not enough friction. I used to love the func (can´t remember the name you could flip it one with rough side one with smooth side).

If you can recommend a mousepad thats rouger and plastic than the destructor and similar in roughness to the func I´d appreciate it.

I have tried the razeer megasoma which is rougher but I dont like it, I think the tracking on it is pretty awful.

I have a razer da 1800 and a da 3500 dpi.
