The rockets are way too fast. 900 or 935ups please and regular splash. It's ridiculous and almost takes no skill anymore with the ridiculous changes. The shotgun didn't need fixing- it takes often up to 7 hits to get a kill and now you can beat it with a fregen mg. fix the weapon that needs fixing the fregen rocket speed. Ridiculous to screw the shotgun. Mise well just shut the fregen site down and let everyone go back to q3a. The rail is fast 1250 not 1500 like it should be too but that's not too big a deal the rockets flying as fast as they do make the game a game of no skill whatsoever.

Rocketlauncher Projectile Speed Splash r (47 comments)

I think that the Rocketlauncher Projectiles fly too fast and don't have enough radius or splash damage. I think instead of nerfing the Shotgun they should fix the rocketlauncher. I am not asking for slow rockets, but I am sick of people using the rocketlauncher like it is a shotgun. They will spam tons of rockets when they are right next to you and do next to no self-damage. That is why if there was a bigger radius and more damage to the splash then the person would have to be more conscious on how close they are to an object before spamming 5+ rockets.

So, a bit slower rocket and regular radius and splash damage of 100 would make it more balanced than this psuedo-clan-arena-style Rockets QuakeLive has.

I think the rocket is more a serious issue than the shotgun is. It's super easy to keep a full boat of rocket ammo so having small splash radius and low damage only promotes spam. If someone is shooting over 45+ rockets they are nearly impossible to dodge.

Again, I am not looking for super slow rockets but just a rocket that is a midrange to long range weapon rather than as a substitute for a shotgun.
