Ping jumps from 30-115 on almost all the servers near me. Doesnt happen all the time, but its happening more and more often. chicago, indiana, ashburn, all seem to do this, some worse than others. Here is a really boring video of it doing it.

Also, tried neighbors internet, same thing. 2 computers and both are hard wired. Tried taking out hub and going direct to dsl modem but same thing. Any ideas of why? Ive seen a few threads and people i talked to said its the routing, but it seems to me a routing problem would involve taking too long of a path to the server. This seems to me like packet loss from a bad connection along the line or an overloaded network. Help me understand why people are calling it a routing issue.

So I took your advice and started over at making a map. Hopefully this map will be better than the first. If any of you guys have q3 installed can you take a look and give me grief on things I did wrong, or could have did better. Not much caulking or hinting has been done yet so dont cry too much about that. I got the pk3 for download here, and I have added 2 videos for lazy people and people without quake 3.

I have been trying to make a map for quake and I need some feedback on it. This is my first map and I have learned a lot doing it, My problem is I'm not sure if I should start over and make one that's laid out better. I have uploaded the pk3 file in quakelive format and also a video of it. Any feedback would be appreciated. Ignore the first minute or two, i recorded that to ask questions on a different forum. What im asking for on ESR is mainly feedback on the layout.

put this pk3 file in the same directory as your other pk3 files (remember you have two baseq3 now). Good idea to set the file to read only because quakelive gets angry and deletes pk3's that are not set to read only.

set these two or the map is not as fun and will make less sense than it already does.

I went from 60hz to 75hz monitor and my lg feels horrid, rail feels good. My sensitivity feels really wierd, anyone else have similar problems going to higher hz?

I think this should be a special area for teh kitteh and raytehnub to have a 1v1 forum DUEL. (no combo breakers or barrel rolls either)
