Forgetting about the game's low population, why do you not like Warsow? Why do you not play?

I feel like it is definitely a game that deserves more attention.

Not to say that QL is bad, but I'm just wondering why so few people play Warsow and choose QL instead. Is it Quake's history and familiarity for a lot of people? The physics? The graphics?

Sorry if this question is absurdly stupid and obvious, but.

I think I've pretty much figured out how to effectively strafe jump with VQ3 physics to gain momentum (well, in Quake Live, anyhow).

However, in CPMA, I'm struggling a little. Do I need to release the strafe key after I've jumped while I'm in the air? Whenever I hold the strafe key down while airborne, I realize I can't turn around in the air by using my mouse, which is one of the nifty things about CPMA physics. When I'm not holding down the strafe key, and just holding the forward key after I've jumped, I can move around midair.

I seem to go faster with VQ3 physics while holding down the strafe key midair, but this might be the completely wrong way to do it.

Any help would be appreciated. Again, sorry if this sounded stupid. Still figuring things out. ;)

For me, Heroes of Newerth, hands down. I didn't listen to the "naysayers" and decided to give it a go. Makes QL look like a wonderful, intelligent congregation of happy individuals.

How about you, ESR?

I saw this game on sale a couple of days ago, and I'm dying to try it out and sink my teeth into it.

Do people still play? Even if it's somewhat small, is the community at least active? After playing Quake Live and falling in love with it, I'd like to give Quake 4 a shot as well.
