I started a thread the other-day about mouse settings etc. Anyway iv since had to by a cheap mouse as my mouse broke on me. This mouse lowest dpi is 800 so iv had to look at my settings.
I was lucky enough to have my cfg made for me a while back and on opening my cfg i found my mouse settings to be different to what i first thought. the sens and accel are what i set through the console but i also found these.
seta cl_mousesenscap "3"
seta m_pitch "0.023"
seta seta in_mouse "2"

The problem i have with this mouse is when i make a fast movement of like 90 degrees the crosshair doesn't move. it only happens when its a fast movement. Is my mouse gubbed or is it to do with the settings above?

As im quite new to the gaming world i would like to read what other quake players mouse preferences are. Iv been using the same settings for months now but its starting to feel uncomfortable as im obviously getting better. Iv found i struggle when fighting in close proximity to my opponent. I find they can get behind me quite easily and cause alot of damage before i manage to spin around and locate them. Hope you get what im trying to say there. im shit at putting stuff into words on forums like this .

My settings are 400 dpi and sensitivity of 3, i have tried using mouseaccel 0.1 but my acc drops while using it.
anyway iv got a new mouse so iv got the chance of changing all this. the lowest dpi the mouse can go is 800 though.

any advice?

All this masturbating over pros is making me cringe . Yes they are talented at what they do but so would you if you was as dedicated.
Its come to a point people get shocked when they realize mr pro isnt this fake mr nice and actually tells them to fuck off. I can picture folk ripping posters off their bedroom walls while in floods of tears when they realize mr pro is just a normal everyday guy that gets fucked off with the constant hounding by little fanboys.
