I cant seem to find any good servers to play on (Q4max). All the servers are either locked, crash my game when I try to join, refuse to let me download files or have insanely high ping (im in eu).

1) If anybody still plays this game, which servers are you using?

2) Does anyone have any passwords for some of the good looking but locked servers (venom)?

3) I havent been able to find a populated Q4 irc, is there a channel or forum that the ~10 remaining players use so I can bug them?

4) Lastly is there a way I can connect directly to a friend without connecting to a server? Connect by ip?

The game is a lot of fun, but all the shit around it like this is making it hard to actually play it

I've lost my disc version of Q4. Is the steam one a viable option to install Q4Max on? I read something about it being v1.4.3.

Is there a single package I can download with the latest version of Q4 and the latest Q4max all installed? Something like tastyspleens Q2 package or nQuake.

Any links to where I can get the files I need or where I should be looking would be handy.

Word on the street is that we should be seeing updates soon and something about the dev flying over to sweden for a little while to do some hardcore reborn work. Not sure how accurate any of that is but its what I've heard on irc and stuff
