Just stumbled upon this post in which the author claims to have created a driver whereby you can overclock your mice polling rate without needing to be in test mode. Is this legit - has anybody on ESR tried it?

Currently away from a computer and my old MX518 for a few days so haven't got the chance to try it myself. In theory, seems like an awesome tool tho.

I'm relatively mid-lowsens (33cm/360) and am interested in purchasing a mousepad which has fast glide.

I first found out I liked fast mousepads when I accidentally bought the QcK fnatic edition instead of the regular QcK as a replacement mousepad. The glide seemed a lot faster/smoother and I loved it. Unfortunately that pad died last year. Since then, I've tried a bunch of pads, currently on an Artisan hien atm (which is great btw), but I simply haven't found one which glides as quickly as the fnatic edition of the QcK. I also don't know why the fnatic edition of the QcK glides so much better than the regular edition.

I'm using a g400s w/stock feet in case anyone's wondering.

If anyone has any recommendations, it'd be appreciated. Thx.

Is there a difference between setting it to the specific value your monitor is running at instead of "auto" ?

Only asking because I read through a bunch of players' configs and pretty much all of them had a specified refresh rate as opposed to "auto". Just wondering if it makes a difference at all, thx.

Thoughts? Anyone planning to buy one when it's released? Sizewise looks a little small for my personal taste but the 3D pattern on the surface seems interesting.
