I've often been wondering how many duels it would generally take people to break 1200 or rise to 1300, 1500, 1800, ..., 2000+,... ELOs in Quake Live.

I'm not asking for your shining new, 50 duels 1600 ELOs QLranks profile (since chances are most of us have parked old accounts), but your all-time duel count vs your current skill (in ELO's :/ ).

Elos is not the whole truth of course, but it's the best measurement, we currently have to try and generalize this. With the Tier Slumming (TS) in mind, it gets a little better.

So I'll start it off I guess:

Duel Count: 1337
TS: 5%
Highest ELO: 1596
Current ELO: 1322

If people are honest, I guess we can figure out if we're severely disabled / mentally retarded, pretty average or genetically modified aspiring talents. Or at least get a rough estimate.

Ps. 1-mappers needn't participate in this thread. No offense. :-)
Pps. It would be best if only "new" players would participate in this. By new I mean people who started playing Quake Live, and didn't play in the old Q3/Q4 days. It would be hard and too inaccurate to give an estimate for these players. :-)

After Id just removed all premium servers and only offers Pro/free subscriptions now, how do you feel about having paid for a product you literally cannot use? Well I at least bought 1 year of premium, to be able to vote my own maps... I cannot do that anymore, since there are no such servers anymore.

The appropriate thing to do here, would be to upgrade all existing premium subscribers to pro, instead of making their purchase totally useless?

Or... Shouldn't they at least offer us an upgrade discount? The difference between our current premium subscription and the pro price?

What do you think is fair? And what are you going to do about it? Ignore the fact that you've payed eg. a year in advance for a product that you cannot use and buy Pro? Or .. quit Quake and send a strong signal?
