Quake III DeFRaG run on the most detailed strafe map of this size ever made.

This project was completed over the span of 3 years and it has been worked on in secrecy.
The goal was to publish it by the end of 2024 as this year in December, Quake III is celebrating the 25th anniversary of it's release.

The map was designed by IMOOR in co-operation with and tested by n00k1e. The base for this map was a much shorter, weapons-style version: DFWC2019-4. That map was then modified and expanded in every possible dimension and and what came out in the end, exceeded our expectations. The amount of detail on such a huge level is simply mind blowing and will hopefully be appreciated. Just this one map alone takes around as much disk space by itself as the whole original Quake III Arena game.

To give you some more context on how detailed it is, UNDERWORLD contains almost 3000 custom made models and close to 90000 brushes, compared to some Q3 classics:
Q3DM6 (The Camping Grounds) - 48 models and 2081 brushes
Q3DM13 (The Lost World) - 35 models and 1604 brushes
Q3DM17 (The Longest Yard) - 12 models and 456 brushes

So a huge shout-out to IMOOR for the amount of work he had put into this. His commitment to mapping is simply on another level. Making a clean, fast run and editing the video was also quite challenging and exhausting for me as well, but we have done it and we can now share it with you all. Enjoy!

Quake II JumpMod run on an ancient industrial tech map. The idea for this video was to create something more alive and to fill the map with infernal energy in order to enhance the main design element, the skull.

Freestyle trickjumping on Q2DM1.

I’ve always desired to produce a compilation video of some of the best tricks on the map, there is a lot of never-before-seen tricks and variations as well.

The idea for the level design comes from “The Broken Edge” remake, which was created by DIRTY & DeAdLy[BITCH]es a long time ago. That map has then been heavily modified by ZEROSIGNAL for the purposes of this project. Combined with atmospheric music and a cinematic intro, this version of The Edge is a breath of fresh air in a game that celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Special thanks to ZEROSIGNAL and Draxi for their help and support.

Quake III DeFRaG run on a fantasy puzzle map. This is a very interesting single player experience. There are two random puzzles that are different on each run, so you have to learn the patterns and act quickly in order to solve them as fast as possible. Special thanks to SOCK for designing this fantastic map.

Quake II JumpMod run on a futuristic speed map.

The idea behind this project was to create an Alien themed world that would take the viewer to another dimension. All elements had to fit together to generate the desired sci-fi feeling. The final result is a product of many hours of visual and audio editing, nonetheless the core is still based on the typical Q2 engine with normal physics. Special thanks to MAKO for designing this beautiful map but also to fish, zerosignal & ace for their help and support.

Quake Live RACE run on a beautiful speed map. This is a 1st place winning run which was submitted for a “2020 QL One Map Cup” (VQL physics) organized by Kool-Aid. The map was also designed by him specifically for this event. Special thanks to Kool-Aid, PrussianBlue, admins, all the donators and everyone who have participated.

This is the most spectacular shortcut I have ever found in Quake. It was originally discovered in Quake Live in late 2016. The route wasn’t impressive enough in QL but combined with an overbouce in Quake III, it really looks stunning.
