I am looking to get a new monitor to replace my dead iiyama 19" crt and stumbled upon this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001431. Wouldn't mind spending a little less if 27" or 1ms response time seems excessive, but it's not out of my budget or anything. Or perhaps I should just look for a used crt somewhere ;x. Anyway tried that monitor out? or any of the newer LED monitors in general? Just browsing atm but want to purchase a monitor soon!

I have decided to build a new computer, but it has been a few years, and I haven't been following the hardware scene too closely. Anyway, I'm trying to decide between getting an intel duo or quad, as I've heard heard quad is mostly wasted on gaming. I've picked out the other parts and have a decent budget. just want to get a cpu that would excel at games.

also, is it worth going with ddr3 or just to stick with ddr2?
