As you may know, I think Syncerror is a nice individual.
Everything he does seems to make the game worse. Today I'm going to rant about the maps.

First he removed 19 maps, some of which were rather popular.
Then he set it so that players (+90%) can't vote on which of the remaining maps they prefer.
And finally he stuck us with the same map rotation for what feels like 6 months!

Is he trying to drive people away? Why the hell can't we get a little variety? The map pool used to change every month, now it's the same fucking thing every fucking day! I'm beginning to forget what the other maps look like!

These days they don't even pretend there is a reason for issuing a ban.
I guess I understand from a rational perspective:
- Nobody got fired for the failed all-or-nothing Steam release gamble
- Nobody got fired for doubling down and also alienating their entire historical userbase
...so who cares if we just go Lord-of-the-Flies. Neither ID/Zenimax/Bethesda are providing adult supervision.
