Zowie EC1-A - Defective Trim Lens? (5 comments)
Posted by sfektsz @ 20:25 CST, 3 February 2016 - iMsg
So I sent my Zowie EC1-A for RMA due to defective/faulty sensor, and surprise surprise, the new one I get has the same exact issue.

Can anyone else with a Zowie mouse / Mouse with the 3310 sensor in it, comment on whether or not this is normal? I'm also curious to know what purpose the trim lens serves to the overall functionality of the sensor.

Switched to Zowie G-SR pad, LoD doubled? (21 comments)

I've been using a SteelSeries QcK Heavy for a long time, and picked up the Zowie G-SR mousepad this week after hearing how good it is, and how it actually lays flat. I also had to get a new mouse, so coming from a Deathadder 2013, I got the DeathAdder Chroma.

Immediately I noticed my Lift Off Distance about doubled, and I thought it was just the mouse, until I tested it on my Zowie EC1-A, with the QcK Heavy and G-SR side by side. Is there any reason that the LoD increases on the Zowie G-SR? I'd like to avoid using Razer Synapse's 'Surface Calibration', since it makes the mouse feel a bit off.

Zowie EC1-A - Trim Lens chipped? (8 comments)

Look at the right side of the trim lens divider, it's not like this on any other Pixart-3310 I've seen. Would this explain why I've felt the sensor in my mouse felt less precise and that tiny movements didn't even seem to register?

USB 3.0 + Gaming Mice (10 comments)
Posted by sfektsz @ 04:09 CDT, 12 June 2015 - iMsg
Since I built my PC in 2014 (first build since 2006), I had my Deathadder 2013 + Corsair K70 in the USB 3.0 ports. Recently I read up on it, and most advise to use USB 2.0, since USB 3.0 causes issues and what not. I plugged my keyboard & mouse into USB 2.0 ports, and went in game (CS:GO), and noticed it felt like I lowered my sensitivity by 25-30%. Is this normal?
