Hi guys.. I have been checking in here since Sunday, and there's no thread about it,or did I miss it?
I didn't see a Sunday cup on this weekend and am wondering what's going on. That's the first time in years. Is it still going to happen or can anyone provide some information on this? I sorely missed 125fps cup last weekend :(

I have a problem I'd really like some help with. Details are.

What it is, is a 5 second lag. It's consistently the same in a way that I get a split second peak of 999 and then its ok for a split second. And then I get a 5 second lag period where My ping peaks to 999. It's consistently the same each time. It happens after about 10 minutes of play and can happen 3 times in a duel or none. And you know what I do? Ragequit! It's so frustrating and I have been trying to determine the cause of it. It seems to randomly happen.

There's nothing consistent in my play and it seems to randomly occur.

It's consistent in a way how the lag happens.
It has been happening for the last month or so and after doing virus and malware scans with Avira, malwarebytes, spybot search and destroy, adwcleaner. it still occurs.

I've deleted quakelive and reinstalled and started config from scratch. ( including turning off steamcloud storage)

I noticed it happened after I downloaded someones config. I was wondering if there is some setting in his config that caused me to lag.Like any hardware stetting that anyone knows about??? This is what I really thought it was. But I have done the reinstall of quakelive and reset the config and it still occurs.

Although I did turn off steamcloud and did a clean reinstall.. I notice I am still using a hud (ui/Best_HUD.cfg) Which I used before the reinstall now it's still there. I don't know how it can be as I can't find it anywhere on my computer although it continues to load.

I've played quake since 2002 and am at my wits end trying to solve this issue.. It's so frustrating.

Please have a look at the uploaded pictures. I took some screenshots of the lagometer as the lag was happening. I really don't know what else to do. I would like to focus on that it is something in my config as I do not get any lag when I play doom online or stream videos etc.

Please help me :(

Hi Guys...

I would like to say how much I enjoyed this years Quakecon. Quake Champions is coming out and this may perhaps be the last year of Quakelive for Quakecon? If so, that was amazing and the best Quakecon yet..how can we stop showing that?

I want to say a huge thank you to Zoot and ddk! To me they cast so well and get all excited. You can just hear the passion in their voices for the game... They truly are the faces of Quakelive to me and without them it is only half as good to watch. Thank you so much guys!

Now the rivalries... Rapha and Evil have developed quite the rivalry. To me it's the biggest rivalry I've experienced. Since 2012 Evil got in and won a lan but since then Rapha has worked him out and consistantly won. But Evil has come back and came so close like in 2013 and now 2016. Of course there are more prolonged and more games online involved in rivalries like Cypher/Evil... and now Agent/Evil. But at big lan's there is so much on the line so I rate Rapha and Evil's rivalry the highest.

OMG what a game man!!! I couldn't believe it! I was really rooting for Evil to finally break the ice and he came so close.... just wow!
So I would like to hear about other rivalries in Quakelive and Quake 3. Who do you think in the time of these games has or has the greatest rivalry???

P.S Although I believe Quake Champions will be great. Really there is no greater game than Quakelive/Quake 3. How can a game get any better? It's hard to see any game beating it imo.

Hi guys.. I'm a musician and I want to create videos from quakelive demos as clips for my songs.. I've been having some good ideas. I'm just wondering how hard it is as I am a wolfcam virgin. Basically I want to know what I'll need am I right in saying I would need: demos, wolfcam, Sony Vegas ( or some other video editing suite ), and here I can load the music? Also where is most of the editing done is it in the video programming software? Anyway thanks in advance for you advice.. I just need a starting point.
