Just looking to see if anyone has any experience with any of the following monitors, I'm looking to get a 27inch freesyn monitor (likely tomorrow when sales kick in) not fussed by ips - just after raw speed really.

currently using a lg w2363d 120hz which has 0 input lag when in thru mode, so don't want to buy something and find it feels worse to play on.

Needed to give my pc a wipe as my windows 7 install had been on there for several years and was getting bloated, so figured i would do the ugprade to windows 10 first before rolling back to 7 later (that way you have taken MS up on the free upgrade and can reinstall win10 on this machine for life if i wanted to later on).

Once i had sorted the win10 upgrade, I did a fresh install so I could just make an image of it to install later if I wanted to - and figured would trying QL in windows 10.

The good news, my mouse sense etc all felt the same and the game felt great.

The bad news, on my 1920x1080 120hz LG monitor, GPU scaling seems to be broken, and I now have black bars each side of my 1024x768 res ql window. I used to use same config on win7, except the GPU scaling would blow the window up to fit the monitor - worked for me, was comftable with it after several years of playing like this.

TL:DR - gpu scaling seems fkd in win10, with QL - does anyone have any ideas?

Anyone else unable to fire up the QL client, loads ok, says ql is online - but then gets to a black page with error 118 "failed to load quakelive site".

Also, quakelive.com is not accessable - its like the DNS is dead/wrong or somthing??

Anyone else having problems?

Hey, since the start of this week (well seems to be since the new map pool for this month was released) - have a really odd issue with Quarantine and Asylum (could be other maps too but i havent been on them to notice).

Drawfps shows solid 125 fps, but in game, on these maps only - feels like im playing on 40 fps, its like being back in quake3 in 1999 with a computer that cant handle it... (this isnt computer related by the way, pc is more than capable of handling qlive and has had no issues untill a week ago).

any one else experienced this, or can point out a cvar that might cause this, vertex lighting is on, post process is off, r_finish is 0

FU id - at no point was i intending renewing this PRO membership, and totally didnt notice anywhere the auto renew policy.

at best i would renew premier - given the number of players and my current activity it totally doesnt warrant it.

Anyone had any luck getting this changed over / reversed?

anyone happen to know if theres a way to change config based on clicking a mouse button on, then resetting it when releasing a mouse button???

An example, all your sensitivity is the same for everything in your config, only when you click the mouse button (and hold it for example when using lg) - the clicking of it lowers the sensitivity - then when you release the button it sets it back to normal...

so like, click mouse1, sensitivity 2 etc etc... then release mouse1 sensitivity 4 or whatevers??

Just wondering if anyone else has made the move from win xp to 7, and how/if it affected their sensitivity or accel or anything???

Im using a G9, with all accel disabled in drivers (use a small ammount in quakelive), and in_mouse 2 in qlive - for some reason using same sens / accel in game, feels slightly different - cant put my finger on it.

Anyone else noticed anything similar??

I bought a func 1030 archetype god knows how long ago, and every since day one its had a dip in the middle (on one side, if you flight it over its a slight mound).

Ive been using it on the slightly mounded side for a couple of years and its finally about time to flip it over i think and use the other side - problem is that when it was mounded it didnt affect it too bad as you always had your weight on the mouse to push it slightly flat (alghouth the mounded bit still contacted the middle of my mouse).

Anyone know a way of straightening these things out, was thinking like heat the thing up on a radiator for a while then wack it between a few heavy books (tried it before didnt really help...)

Ello all - thought I would just put out a message to see if there were any clans looking for players for the upcoming q3 clanbase opencup, give me a shout if anyone has any spots going.

really pi$$ed off, appears ive lost 4 yrs if data! :(

i have a 160gb sata drive partitioned in to 3 sections,

having had windows 2000 on there for ages i went to put xp on there this morning (on the 40gb c partition), the d partition contained all my backup data, files, videos the lot!!

having gone through the winxp setup after booting from cd, i attempted to format just the c partiton on this disk, however the setup has removed all of my partitions on the disk leaving just a 160gb unpartitioned space meaning ive lost everything!!

i remembered afterwards that the disk had been converted to a dynamic disk while using 2000, and im guessing the xp setup has converted it back to a basic disk removing all partition info the lot on there...

my question is, is it possible to restore the directory and file structure on the disk, soley the d drive, im not worried about the c partition as this will be formatted eventually for winxp... or have i lost everything???

ive been looking for some bootable cd's to check the file structure and attempt to repair partitions but im not sure if this will help on this occasion, if anyone knows any useful app's or has any advice, please chip in anything you can.. im kinda in a bit of a hole at the moment :(
