Well another annual World Cyber Games event has passed and I have to say I was a little dissapointed with the outcome. I'm not sure if it was the venue, the tournament screw-ups, the lack of FPS 1v1, or all of the above....
It's been quite a while since I've attended a gaming event (CPL Winter to be exact) so I was excited to get back into it. Trinelin and I were doing shootouts at the Razer booth and it was pretty fun to play Quake III again...it had been so long but it's really like riding a bike, it didn't take me long to get back into it though my rail was R-U-S-T-Y!
During the nights we would drive over to the players village, which was about a 20 min drive from the event (and our hotel) to hang out in the STOKED ENERGY lounge. Stoked is a new energy drink making waves throughout North America and they are very interested in getting involved with gamers and giving out free drinks, which is great for us! :D
The Stoked team had rented a suite at the player village and had open doors nightly with free pizza, Halo 3 battles and as much energy drinks as you could have. I really liked the selection....there was 5 different kinds: Original, Sugar free, Dragonberry, Tropical orange, Wind Chill (feels cold going down) and After burn (has a warming effect!)
I'm hoping that myself and the team can start going to more gaming events, (granted there is some to go to!) As it was a good time as always. I've posted some photos in the ESR gallery if you'd like to take a peek.

We had some serious difficulty finding a bar to go to....with more than 2 people that is! We eventually settled for a dead and quiet pub which strange enough turned into a nightclub an hour later.

Just before we left the show on Sunday for the airport. It was an alright event but I've definitely seen better from the WCG, and where the heck is the FPS 1v1 tourney? geez :(

My ma was so nice she drove my car down to Seattle and then came back on Sunday to pick it up. This was very helpful as the event was 20 minutes to players village! <3 mommy

After years of procrastinating, I finally took the plunge and figured it out. I have next to no knowledge on the elements of building a website, but thanks to Wordpress it wasn't too bad.
I'm pretty pleased with it so far, but I still have more to add to it! I'd reccomend checking out the download section, as it includes a collection of event movies from last year that were done for eSplat and more are on the way. Hope you like! -

Qcon 06 was definitely one of my favorites so far. I've been going since 2003 but this one was certainly special. Right now Livia and I are working on a video masterpiece, as most of the time there I was filming and a lot of cool stuff was caught on tape :p
In the meantime, I did a little
writeup on some of the adventures experienced, and also have uploaded a

Various crazy photos taken from ESWC 2006 in Paris. The event was held at Bercy this year, which was quite an amazing venue...due to camera problems there's not many photos from the event itself, but more of the player's hotel and party. :) Many of the pics in this gallery also include
partyboy, a very special guest and at times thought to be an "unofficial mascot."
