The Winter Nationscup 2013/14 is more then a week old and we already saw some entertaining and thrilling games so we are confident to see it going on like that. We want to give u a quick overview for all matches that happened so far.

We have arrived at the FACEIT Winter Season Sunday Cup #5, and thus far it truly is a battle between Russia evil and Belarus Cypher, with both topping the standings with 58 points.

As each Sunday, we are starting at 08:00 CST. You can already sign-up now!

Unfortunately we are not able to bring you the action from our studio this weekend. But do not fear, United Kingdom Daniel "ddk" Kapadia will still be casting the games for you, on United Kingdom FACEIT Community, starting live at 08:30 CST.

The FACEIT Winter Season will be played each Sunday for the coming months, where 128 players can join and play for $125, as well as points to qualify them for the Finale.

The biggest United States of America North American BYOC LAN party has just been announced, keeping the tradition alive since 1996, critically acclaimed "Woodstock of gaming" is returning this year, marking its 19th appearance. Just like the previous years, the event will take place in Hilton Anatole in Dallas, TX. The event is financed and supported by id Software, leading technology companies and its loyal Volunteers. You can experience one the biggest and most exciting gaming events from Thursday, July 17th till Sunday, July 20th. Each day of QuakeCon is packed with game presentations, contests, entertainment, announcements, panel discussions, parties, and more. You will be able to give the upcoming video games from Bethesda Softworks a try - Entry badges are open to general public and completely free. Event details will be released earlier than ever. Expect the first updates on registration in the coming month.

You are invited to participate in a competition to see who has the best moves in CPM! The winner of this competition will not be decided on frags but on moves and style. In order to participate, you must submit a single demo using the CPMA mod, with CPM gameplay mechanics, and on a map from the official CPMA map pack between 30 and 60 seconds in length. All demos must be submitted by March 2, 2014. Please see below for more details and specific rules.

Demos and a brief highlight video of the top 3 will be posted soon!!!! Thanks to all who participated.

Also, we plan to do another competition in the near future so please submit your recommendations for the map pool. Already suggested is the ThreeWave maps. Alternatively, I am considering Kenya duel maps for CPM (astronomybeta, eiz, reqtourney, etc.).

Thanks to Switzerland myT and Finland mew for feedback and ideas. =)

As some of you might have noticed, the italian Quake Live server have been down for some time now. This isn't due to any technical problem but to the simple fact that the IDS clan doesn't have any more funds to pay for it.

we were trying to find the money for a new server subscription, but there were some problems internal to the italian community so basically there won't be an italian server anymore, at least in the near future. If someone could UN-major this newspost it would be great.

Hi, as most of you probably know already, Tox manage to win the first ever Swedish Championship of Quake Live (quakesm.se). The grand final was played between Tox and Spart1e and ended 4-0.

The complete result from the final day:
