Seems like the ETF (Enemy Territorry Fortress mod) pickup community is arising from the ashes and has released a very entertaining movie.

Excellent editing, not overlay aggressive colors, and insane shots on classic Team Fortress maps.

On December 10th, 1993 the Doom Shareware was released (timeline doomwiki). Six people had done Doom in only nine months. They influenced the genre First Person Shooter forever in many ways.

Highlights from all the site specials were:

basearena.org is proud to announce QL NationsCup Winter 2013/2014. Admins have been selected from experienced and respected members of the community.

Signups begin December 15th, 2013. Those desiring a position as captain should register on basearena.org and contact brajente via email explaining the gametype and what nation for which they wish to apply as captain.
We will create your nationsteam and invite you to that team. You will get the captain status from us.

Every team-captain has to be on our irc-channel to be in contact with us.

We will have a fixed schedule for this nationscup, that it won't be delayed to long.
Planned is:
Wednesday @ 21.00 cet CA Nationscup
Sunday @ 20.30 cet TDM Nationscup
Sunday @ 21.45 cet CTF Nationscup

We will give out some tokens which have been sponsored by Idsoftware for the winners of their gamemods.


Admins, team captains, and streamer are required to be in the official basearena IRC channel (#basearena on Quakenet), and all admins, team captains, streams, and players are required to provide their QuakeLive usernames in their basearena profiles. Final rules will be published when sign-ups open.

Coming Sunday will see the second warsow Warsow Winter Challenge qualifier starting at 12:00 CST. After a succesful first qualifier with 16 entrants, we hope to increase the number of participants to over 16. During these qualifiers players can earn ranking points for the Top12 standings. At the end of the qualifiers, the top twelve players will be seeded into the group stage, to battle it out for their share in the $1,000 prize pool.

The Swedish Championship of Quake Live presents the last showmatch before the event kicks off. Taking place this Monday, December the 16th at 13:00 CST and featuring two high skilled Swedish players.

This time it's Sweden prockz (Elo: 2257) that takes on Sweden kANiN_ (Elo: 2120) in a best of 7 match with the same map pool as the main event. As with the previous matches, streaming will be provided by United Kingdom Zoot and Mexico Ins on their Twitch channel. The winner will be rewarded with 50 euro and eternal glory.


The sign up period for The Swedish Championship of Quake Live has now ended, be sure to check in at www.quakesm.se to watch the complete and final list of players.
