Valve has announced SteamOS, a Linux-based operating system built around Steam and "designed for the TV and the living room".

Update #1: the second announce has been made and it's about Steam Machines. A beta is on its way to design and test a box produced by Valve and running SteamOS.

Update #2: the third and last announce is now revealed, it's the Steam Controller, an enhanced and hackable controller. As for the Steam Machines, a beta program has been launched.

From Monday to Saturday we have our daily FACEIT Cups with several Duel levels, Clan Arena, CTF and TDM, plus a different Premium Cup on every week day!

On Saturday we have 3 Premium Cups with higher points prizes. These points can be exchanged for prizes, such as Razer gear in the FACEIT Shop.

This Sunday will be the Finals of the FACEIT Summer Season, with names such as ash, evil, tox and Cypher qualified to battle it out for this season's title. Stay tuned on our Facebook and Twitter for more information on it soon!

"Hi everybody! My name is Aleksey. Beginning with February 2013 I am sponsoring the 125 FPS QuakeLive League (http://125fps.com) and provide almost all of the prize money from my own pocket. Why do I do this? Because like many of us I played the first Quake and even Duke Nukem)) on lan during my childhood. Time goes by and I’m a grown-up man now with all the obligations that come along with it. Yet still I want the Quake community to flourish and reward me and all fans of the game with great matches, tournaments, reports etc.
When there are no tournaments with prize money the interest of players and fans decreases and that’s what I’m trying to combat. I’m sure I’m not the only one. The community has a lot of adult, successful people, as well as many young people who fell in love with the game.
I want to ask the community to help build on the foundation I and the 125fps team have laid and increase the prizes in the coming leagues. Fundraising is nothing new and is employed to collect funds for all kinds of events. I’m sure that many of you will be happy to chip in a sum that’s admissible for yourselves and even happier to follow the tournament you yourself made a contribution to!
Below are various ways to donate money for prize funds of 125fps.com leagues.
The reputation of the 125fps leagues guarantees for a fair distribution of funds. I myself will continue to contribute about 31500p(~1000$) every month.
I propose the following prize money distribution (31500RUR + donations)

15% of the donations will go towards the organization and coverage of the league, in particular recruitment of streamers.
Additionally I suggest limiting the prize pool of every league by 3500$. If there is more than 2500$ worth of donations the surplus funds get transfered to the next league. The biggest donators will be listed below every leagues prize pool (voluntary).
The fundraising will start with the announcement of the next league."

The Moscow Quake LAN Party cups happen twice a year - in Winter and Summer. The previous winter LAN Party happened in the end of January, whereas the Summer LAN dates have been postponed several times due to different reasons and finally were settled on 12th of October. This time the 3 official disciplines are QL Duel, QL TDM 2v2 and QL FFA, some unofficial TDM 4v4 and CA games might happen aswell. Furthermore, this event will be played in the brand new place: The CyberSport Laboratory in Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport, Youth and Tourism .

Prizes: Nothing serious, since this is more of a fun LAN than a serious competition.

The Black/Night/Marathon V was on 28th December 2012, so long time ago. After exactly 19 hours of playtime LORDBALET won BNM 5. This is a simple movie with frags from the BNM5. In the movie you'll see most of the players who took part in the marathon. Have fun.

This is my first full length movie. I tried to keep the edit clean and flow well some simple effects here and there. Am looking at making another one so post anything that the movie lacks, what the config is like, frags are like, edit, all of it !! Would be extremely helpful for my next one.

Frags are mostly CA but also include some from duel, CTF league matches, CA league matches, CA PCWs and the TDM Draft Cup!
