Every day FACEIT plays host to several online tournaments in Quake Live. To give you an overview of all happenings, we have put together a schedule with all Quake Live tournaments we run in a week.

From Monday to Friday we have our daily FACEIT Points Cups for several duel levels, as well as for Clan Arena 2 versus 2. On Saturday we have three cups, limited to Premium users with higher point prizes. These points can be exchanged for prizes, such as Razer gear, in the FACEIT Shop.

This weekend we also have two cash event. On Saturday we have the FACEIT Pro Draft Cup with $700 prize. On Sunday our Summer Season will continue with its second installment.

A different Quake III Promode movie, featuring only one match. It's intended to be a promo for CPMA and a fun little dig at Quake Live.

I had fun making this, thanks to the people who helped. Music is in the credits. I should also note the gameplay is not mine :)

125 FPS July League Qualification Round is started, welcome!

Five qualifications (7 slots, 3 at last qualy), single elimination, bo1 bracket with bo3 final, mappool 5 maps, start at 10:00 CST. Droping of maps until required amount is left, then picking for the order.

"Hi everybody! My name is Aleksey. Beginning with February 2013 I am sponsoring the 125 FPS QuakeLive League (http://125fps.com) and provide almost all of the prize money from my own pocket. Why do I do this? Because like many of us I played the first Quake and even Duke Nukem)) on lan during my childhood. Time goes by and I’m a grown-up man now with all the obligations that come along with it. Yet still I want the Quake community to flourish and reward me and all fans of the game with great matches, tournaments, reports etc.
When there are no tournaments with prize money the interest of players and fans decreases and that’s what I’m trying to combat. I’m sure I’m not the only one. The community has a lot of adult, successful people, as well as many young people who fell in love with the game.
I want to ask the community to help build on the foundation I and the 125fps team have laid and increase the prizes in the coming leagues. Fundraising is nothing new and is employed to collect funds for all kinds of events. I’m sure that many of you will be happy to chip in a sum that’s admissible for yourselves and even happier to follow the tournament you yourself made a contribution to!
Below are various ways to donate money for prize funds of 125fps.com leagues.
The reputation of the 125fps leagues guarantees for a fair distribution of funds. I myself will continue to contribute about 31500p(~1000$) every month.
I propose the following prize money distribution (31500RUR + donations)

15% of the donations will go towards the organization and coverage of the league, in particular recruitment of streamers.
Additionally I suggest limiting the prize pool of every league by 3500$. If there is more than 2500$ worth of donations the surplus funds get transfered to the next league. The biggest donators will be listed below every leagues prize pool (voluntary).
The fundraising will start with the announcement of the next league."

Number two of the FACEIT Sunday Summer Cup is going live tomorrow afternoon!

The FACEIT Summer Season will be played each Sunday for the coming month, where 128 players can join and play for $125, as well as points to qualify them for the Finale.

You can already sign-up for the tournament at this moment. Check-ins will open at 06:00 CST, with the cup starting at 07:00 CST.

This Sunday (7 July) will be the first Sunday Summer Season cup. It will be brought to you by

Daniel "ddk" Kapadia and

Bruno "ins" Pereira on

FACEIT TV. The stream will go live at 07:30 CST.

Last week we had a different final than we have come to use in the North America Sunday Cups. ZeRo4 managed to beat rapha to head into the final, where he met DaHanG. The latter managed to win in the end though. You can sign up for the Sunday Summer Cup #2 already, which will start at 12:00 CST.

Unfortunately we or our third party service provider could not fix the issues in time. We have decided to cancel the cup. We apologies to the players and spectators we have dedicated their day to playing and watching FACEIT. We will be back next week with something special to make up for it. Again, we are truly sorry.

Sampler Matches Updated - Harvester (10 comments)

The sampler matches have been updated, Harvester is making its third appearance, this time on Cold Cathode

Harvester is a team-based game mode that hails from the original Team Arena release. Fragging the other team will cause a colored skull to emit from an obelisk located in the middle of the arena. Grabbing the enemy's skull, and running them to the enemy's base will score you a point for each skull captured. Grabbing your teammate's skulls will deny them from the enemy. The first team to reach 15 skulls captured is the winner!

The Sampler servers are available in limited capacity, so look for matches named "Harvester Sampler" and enjoy!

FACEIT CTF Level 6 Draft Cup on Saturday (145 comments)

Schedule: Passed

This Saturday the FACEIT CTF Level 6 Draft Cup will take place, starting at 08:00 CST. A total of $400 will be on the line.

Teams with an average level of 6 will be able to attend this cup. If you are FACEIT Level 6 yourself, you will be able to join the cup as a solo as well, with the system finding you the best team mates as possible. Simply click "Join as Solo" on the tournament page.

All matches will be played in Best-of-one until the semi finals and grand final, which will be Best-of-three. All the action will be brought to you on

FACEIT TV, with commentary by

Daniel "ddk" Kapadia and

Bruno "ins" Pereira.

Next to our solo-join system we have also implemented a new team system. In this system you will be able to create a longer lasting team, with your own logos, social media, sponsors and an own FACEIT page. The previous team system will now work as a system for mixes.
