Last time you heard from us, we announced the site going live. This time around we're happy to announce the TDM Open Cup #1 which is filled with prizes. Top 16 teams all get a part of the £1250 prize pool and thanks to our newest sponsors, Ozone Gaming, the best team gets awesome Ozone Blade keyboards as well.

The cup kicks off at 09:00 CDT on June 30th and features a double elimination bracket. The sign-ups are already open so feel free to start registering for the tournament. The check-in begins 1 hour before the tournament start. You can get all the information about the tournament (rules, schedule...) on the tournament page. Stream information will be added during the next few days. Also, please hop by our

irc channel if you have any additional questions.

Last, but not the least, seeing how there was a lot of misunderstanding on what "free" means when it comes to ESA tournaments and how subscriptions are going to work, please check out the extensive interview that HolySh1t guys did with Didge (ESA director). "Hi everybody! My name is Aleksey. Beginning with February 2013 I am sponsoring the 125 FPS QuakeLive League (http://125fps.com) and provide almost all of the prize money from my own pocket. Why do I do this? Because like many of us I played the first Quake and even Duke Nukem)) on lan during my childhood. Time goes by and I’m a grown-up man now with all the obligations that come along with it. Yet still I want the Quake community to flourish and reward me and all fans of the game with great matches, tournaments, reports etc.
When there are no tournaments with prize money the interest of players and fans decreases and that’s what I’m trying to combat. I’m sure I’m not the only one. The community has a lot of adult, successful people, as well as many young people who fell in love with the game.
I want to ask the community to help build on the foundation I and the 125fps team have laid and increase the prizes in the coming leagues. Fundraising is nothing new and is employed to collect funds for all kinds of events. I’m sure that many of you will be happy to chip in a sum that’s admissible for yourselves and even happier to follow the tournament you yourself made a contribution to!
Below are various ways to donate money for prize funds of 125fps.com leagues.
The reputation of the 125fps leagues guarantees for a fair distribution of funds. I myself will continue to contribute about 31500p(~1000$) every month.
I propose the following prize money distribution (31500RUR + donations)

15% of the donations will go towards the organization and coverage of the league, in particular recruitment of streamers.
Additionally I suggest limiting the prize pool of every league by 3500$. If there is more than 2500$ worth of donations the surplus funds get transfered to the next league. The biggest donators will be listed below every leagues prize pool (voluntary).
The fundraising will start with the announcement of the next league."

- group A started
- unfortunatly av3k cant play june league (, will replace him
- ~~Nitrino cant play group A today, so he will play his matches at the next days~~
- another trouble - uaLaskij need to go from home earlier (about 12:00 CDT), so, he will start and finish his matches earlier today. Group A players, pls play him before other.
- instead av3k at group C will play rell
- Nitrino will play matches today, great.

- xron couldn't solve the problem with the Internet, so he leave the league. Group C is finished, twister, dem0n and dazator passed to gs2
- we are waiting for mal, when he played arseny_ and matr0x, then group B will be finished. all groups will be finished
- matr0x won mal, so, now we wait mal-arseny match for last passing slot at group B
- For determining who will take Guard's slot at Group Stage 2 we decided to make additional group, composed of 4th places of GS1 groups: uaLaksij, mal or arseny (dont played yet), rell and silencep. bracket: http://125fps.challonge.com/june_gs1_group_ls . Would be cool to play and finish this group today, 14 june, 11:00 CDT

In May I started working on a project after being annoyed at how difficult and drawn-out the process was to convert a Q3/QL demo into a movie. As a result, I now present the Quake 3/Quake Live Demo Renderer.

In a nutshell, you upload a Q3/QL demo, wait a few minutes (or hours!), and out pops a 1920x1080 30fps x264-encoded MP4 for you to download. No messing with WolfCamQL or Quake 3 and no sweating over config files; the server does the heavy lifting.

With the release of QL PP17, a new duel map has been added to Quake Live. We are talking of Cure, by

Ferdinand "Cityy" List. Despite being very new, the map received an incredible community response. To continue the series of one-map tournaments, we want to host a Cure only event for the European scene.

The cup will feature a prize pool of 100 $ sponsored by

Memento_Mori. The tournament will run on Challonge, with its usual integration into Targetquake (read the player info). Targetquake will provide coverage and admins to run the cup.
