So, what we have in sum (all the numbers are slightly rounded):

1st – evil - 15000RUR + 40% of donations = 23200 RUR (~729USD)

ELECTRONIC SPORTS ASSOCIATION (ESA) is starting it's operations today. To make things more interesting, one of the games it will feature is Quake Live.

EDIT: Due to accidentally having published the tournament before everything was sorted out (including map pool, schedules, etc), I'd just like to confirm that the game mode will be TDM. A more detailed post on the first tournament will greet you on Monday/Tuesday here on ESR, along with possibility to sign your teams up for it, etc. Sorry for the confusion!

Why Quake? Well, seeing how our dearest Q is the granddaddy of e-sports it just wouldn't be fair to leave it out. You'll get the chance to compete for points, cash and prestige in ESA's tournaments and to participate you only need to sign up on ESA's homepage.

During next week there will be extensive information about our first cup posted here, so watch out! It's time to start signing up because the cups start as early as July and you don't want to be doing everything on the last day now, do you? :P

Halfway through May we announced the FACEIT Points Cups and Shop. From this week onwards they will also be available to our North American users.

Every day players from North America can play in several FACEIT Points Cup, competiting for points which they can exchange for prizes in our shop. Players can play up to four Points Cups per month, unlimited Sunday Cups and can use our Quickmatch system as much as they like.

The prizes you can find in the FACEIT Shop include some great Razer gear, as well as cool prizes such as a trip to the FACEIT studio, a holiday with Stermy at the sea, or even a FACEIT branded Fiat 500.

FACEIT is also launching its Premium Cups, which will take place on Saturdays. The idea of the mode is simple: one team is attacking the flag, the other one - defending. 2 minutes are given for the attackery, then teams switch, and it goes on until the score is 15.

"Hi everybody! My name is Aleksey. Beginning with February 2013 I am sponsoring the 125 FPS QuakeLive League (http://125fps.com) and provide almost all of the prize money from my own pocket. Why do I do this? Because like many of us I played the first Quake and even Duke Nukem)) on lan during my childhood. Below are various ways to donate money for prize funds of 125fps.com leagues.
The reputation of the 125fps leagues guarantees for a fair distribution of funds. I myself will continue to contribute about 31500p(~1000$) every month.
I propose the following prize money distribution (31500RUR + donations)

Additionally I suggest limiting the prize pool of every league by 3500$. If there is more than 2500$ worth of donations the surplus funds get transfered to the next league. The biggest donators will be listed below every leagues prize pool (voluntary).

"The June 2013 Standard arena rotation is now online. On the first Monday of each month, we will be cycling the Standard arena pool. Rather than only having access to the same standard arenas day in and day out, each month we will now feature 24 arenas selected as playable for Standard-level matches.

Newly released arenas will remain exclusive for at least three months, but every other arena is eligible to be included in the cycle."

Sparta Duel Cup #4 has finished yesterday. 23 players were fighting for the 50€ and the results are quite expecting. Anyway a lot of matches were intense as hell, air rockets, uber combos, unbelievable survivings and etc.
