QUAKE LIVE Premium Pak 17 is now online. This update features three new arenas from both community members, and a new in-house arena targeted at our Clan Arena mode. We are also announcing our plans to players in response to our recent downtime.


Additionally, as a token of our appreciate for your patience through our recent downtime, we are happy to announce the following:
Subscriptions Extended: The expiration date for all subscriptions have been extended by 3 days, to make up for lost time.
Free Premium Arena Weekend: We are opening up access to all arenas from Friday, May 10th through Sunday, May 12th. Players will be able to play on all arenas at all membership levels, and our Pro subscribers will be able to launch standard matches utilizing the full array of maps.
Accept our Repentance: The new Clan Arena map from id Software, Repent, will be added to this month's Standard Map Rotation and available for everyone to play beginning today.

For the fifth time, MaverickServers is hosting a Quake 3/Quake Live level design competition. Mappers from the community are encouraged to participate; veteran mappers and those looking to get into mapping are welcome to join in on the fun. Prizes will be awarded to the best maps.

The contest will start on June 9th and run for 12 weeks until August 31st; judging will begin for 1 week later. Registration deadline is 4 weeks after the start date on July 6th.

Sapphire, Wacom, and id Software are already sponsoring and there are more to come (if you are interested in donating please PM me)

The winner of the highest division of the latest installment of the Thunderdome QuakeWorld Duel tournament will be decided in a couple of hours at 22:00 CET (4:00 PM EST)

It will be Sweden bps from the winner bracket facing off against Sweden LocKtar from the lower bracket. The contest will be decided by a best of 5, and if LocKtar wins the best of 5, he will have to win another best of 5 as he is indeed coming from the lower bracket!

Check QTV to watch with the game client, or tune into the stream!

Here are the FACEIT Daily Cups for 6 to 9 May. All the cups will kick off at 12:30 CST, with check-ins opening at 11:30 CST, except for the CA cups, which will start one hour earlier, 11:30 CST (check-in opens at 10:30 CST).

Monday will feature the Level 4 and Level 8 duel cups, while on Wednesday the other two levels, 6 and 10, will be able to face each other off.

This week we will be featuring two Clan Arena cups instead of TDM. On Tuesday the CA 2v2 Cup will take place, while on Thursday teams of four can get their fix. This does not mean we will stop hosting TDM cups, but we will be alternating every week between TDM and CA.

You can create a team in the right top corner (2/4 - depending which cup - players per team max.). If you are already in a team, you will have to quit it. Be sure all players check-in.


Don't forget you can play on the FACEIT QL Ladder every evening from 10:00 CST till 16:00 CST!

"This ain't a collection of l33t frags, and it wasn't meant to be one. It's more of trollmovie and I hope it made some of you smile :)

After dreaming of this for over a year, feeling unable to realize it on my own, I finally surmounted and took over the situation. I'm quite happy to present u Black Pork Down. My first movie, so don't expect too much.

I'm aware of some Issues that I didn't "fix" due to lack of motivation, but I guess this should be enjoyable. Before getting criticized I also wanna point out that I consciously did not edit visuals a lot or use motion blur. And that I'm not planing to make more movies, so don't care too much about giving constructive feedback."

"The May 2013 Standard arena rotation is now online. On the first Monday of each month, we will be cycling the Standard arena pool. Rather than only having access to the same standard arenas day in and day out, each month we will now feature 24 arenas selected as playable for Standard-level matches.

Newly released arenas will remain exclusive for at least three months, but every other arena is eligible to be included in the cycle."

Our third Spring Season Cup last week saw the return of form of evil, who managed to take out Cypher in a tense five-map grand final. He became the second FACEIT Quake Live Spring Season winner, after Cooller won the first two.

This Sunday the FACEIT Sunday Spring Cup #4 will take place. It will be kicking off at 07:00 CST, while check-ins open at 06:00 CST. You can currently already sign-up.

We are back with the stream this week on FACEIT TV with United Kingdom Daniel "ddk" Kapadia and Italy Alessandro "Stermy" Avallone, who will be going live at 07:30 CST.


This cup will be followed by the FACEIT Quake Live North America Spring Cup #1, with some of the major current sign-ups being DaHanG, apparition, id_ and cha0ticz. You can still sign-up for the NA Cup of course. It will start at 12:00 CST, with check-ins going open at 11:00 CST

I was talking to Czech Republic Hawr1x today as he's currently arranging the Duel LAN tournament in the PRAGUE eSports club DISTRICT.Prague on the 4th of May. He wants to use it to test monitors and other stuff. If everything goes well, he wants to make a World cup LAN in that place featuring both TDM and Duel in September. Probably 3 days over the weekend. The event would be much bigger than Adroits: 50 PC's, a studio (for streamers like Faceit, lvlup, czech streams). The gaming-house is only for quakers. No other games will be played, only Quake Live!

We want as many teams as we can get to revive the quake scene. Prizemoney and prizes will be given directly after the final ceremony. If we can get more then 20 teams, There will be extra-prizemoney and extra prizes. As for monitors there are new EIZO monitors based on new technology, probably as good as 120hz. We are going to try them on the 4th of may, if they work out, we can use those. If not, there is also possibility to get 120hz monitors.

Right now we need to know how many pre-registrations for TDM and DUEL we can get. Registration will probably cost 50€ for Duel, and 200€ for a team (50€/person). In case the same person wants to play both, it is 75€ overall. But for now, we just need info about how many players and teams we can get, so we can figure out how much it will cost.

Razer is already confirmed as a Sponsor. If we recieve big interest in this, we should be able to get more Sponsor's like Asus etc. for an even bigger pricepool. If there is a lot of interest, we can give you more information about hotels, maps, prizemoney, party locations and so on. But for now we need to know if its going to happen.

It is necessary that you leave your comments and interest! It could be a huge event, don't sleep!
