"This ain't a collection of l33t frags, and it wasn't meant to be one. It's more of trollmovie and I hope it made some of you smile :)

After dreaming of this for over a year, feeling unable to realize it on my own, I finally surmounted and took over the situation. I'm quite happy to present u Black Pork Down. My first movie, so don't expect too much.

I'm aware of some Issues that I didn't "fix" due to lack of motivation, but I guess this should be enjoyable. Before getting criticized I also wanna point out that I consciously did not edit visuals a lot or use motion blur. And that I'm not planing to make more movies, so don't care too much about giving constructive feedback."

"The May 2013 Standard arena rotation is now online. On the first Monday of each month, we will be cycling the Standard arena pool. Rather than only having access to the same standard arenas day in and day out, each month we will now feature 24 arenas selected as playable for Standard-level matches.

Newly released arenas will remain exclusive for at least three months, but every other arena is eligible to be included in the cycle."

Our third Spring Season Cup last week saw the return of form of evil, who managed to take out Cypher in a tense five-map grand final. He became the second FACEIT Quake Live Spring Season winner, after Cooller won the first two.

This Sunday the FACEIT Sunday Spring Cup #4 will take place. It will be kicking off at 08:00 CDT, while check-ins open at 07:00 CDT. You can currently already sign-up.

We are back with the stream this week on FACEIT TV with United Kingdom Daniel "ddk" Kapadia and Italy Alessandro "Stermy" Avallone, who will be going live at 08:30 CDT.


This cup will be followed by the FACEIT Quake Live North America Spring Cup #1, with some of the major current sign-ups being DaHanG, apparition, id_ and cha0ticz. You can still sign-up for the NA Cup of course. It will start at 13:00 CDT, with check-ins going open at 12:00 CDT

I was talking to Czech Republic Hawr1x today as he's currently arranging the Duel LAN tournament in the PRAGUE eSports club DISTRICT.Prague on the 4th of May. He wants to use it to test monitors and other stuff. If everything goes well, he wants to make a World cup LAN in that place featuring both TDM and Duel in September. Probably 3 days over the weekend. The event would be much bigger than Adroits: 50 PC's, a studio (for streamers like Faceit, lvlup, czech streams). The gaming-house is only for quakers. No other games will be played, only Quake Live!

We want as many teams as we can get to revive the quake scene. Prizemoney and prizes will be given directly after the final ceremony. If we can get more then 20 teams, There will be extra-prizemoney and extra prizes. As for monitors there are new EIZO monitors based on new technology, probably as good as 120hz. We are going to try them on the 4th of may, if they work out, we can use those. If not, there is also possibility to get 120hz monitors.

Right now we need to know how many pre-registrations for TDM and DUEL we can get. Registration will probably cost 50€ for Duel, and 200€ for a team (50€/person). In case the same person wants to play both, it is 75€ overall. But for now, we just need info about how many players and teams we can get, so we can figure out how much it will cost.

Razer is already confirmed as a Sponsor. If we recieve big interest in this, we should be able to get more Sponsor's like Asus etc. for an even bigger pricepool. If there is a lot of interest, we can give you more information about hotels, maps, prizemoney, party locations and so on. But for now we need to know if its going to happen.

It is necessary that you leave your comments and interest! It could be a huge event, don't sleep!

Quakelive is down and I finally got some time to implement a script for QLRanks.com website. At the moment being, it works only with Firefox and Chrome. The compare feature is simple: go to a player profile, add it to the compare list and hit the "compare" button.
The initial release works only with duel stats and maximum with 2 players compared. Possibly I'll extend it also for other game modes. Any bug report/feedback is much appreciated.


PS. I'm not affiliated with the original QLRanks.com team, the compare feature is a proof of concept built with QLRanks exposed public data. Have fun comparing :)

FACEIT is excited to extend its support to North America, with a season of its own.

Every Sunday, starting at 13:00 CDT, the players from North America will be able to face off against one another. The system will be the same as the European one: all players will be placed in a single elimination bracket. The rounds until the quarter finals are Best-of-1, while the quarter and semi finals are Best-of-3. The grand final will be Best-of-5.

You can currently already sign-up for the cup. Check-ins open on that same day at 12:00 CDT.

The top eight will be rewarded with points, which will be added on top of each other every week to create a ranking. The prize of each week will be $50, of which all is going to the winner. As a bonus, the player with the most points at the end of the Season will be flown out to Europe to visit the FACEIT team and studio, and to play in the European Finale.


The stream will go live on FACEIT TV shortly after finishing the European Cup. It will be brought live to you by United Kingdom Daniel "ddk" Kapadia and Italy Alessandro "stermy Avallone.

FACEIT Daily Cups 29 Apr - 2May (12 comments)

Here are the FACEIT Daily Cups for 29 April to 2 May. All the cups will kick off at 13:30 CDT, with check-ins opening at 12:30 CDT, except for the TDM cups, which will start one hour earlier, 12:30 CDT (check-in opens at 11:30 CDT).

Monday will feature the Level 4 and Level 8 duel cups, while on Wednesday the other two levels, 6 and 10, will be able to face each other off.

This week we will be featuring two Team Deathmatch cups instead of Clan Arena. On Tuesday the TDM 2v2 Test Cup will take place, while on Thursday teams of four can get their fix. This does not mean we will stop hosting CA cups, but we will be alternating every week between TDM and CA.

You can create a team in the right top corner, be sure to only add one extra person to the team (2/4 - depending which cup - players per team max.). If you are already in a team, you will have to quit it. Be sure all players check-in.


Don't forget you can play on the FACEIT QL Ladder every evening from 13:00 CDT till 19:00 CDT!
