Finding the best CSGO gambling sites in 2019 is not that easy. CSGO gambling has had a chequered past to say the least, with many sites being shut down and penalised because of illegal activity.

There is clearly a demand among some Counter-Strike lovers to bet on their favourite game but for the sector to be sustainable long-term, CSGO gambling sites must comply with the laws - primarily for the safety and security of esports fans but also for the sake of themselves.

Nexuiz : Duel goes free, UGLY mode & ESL (56 comments)
Posted by therogue @ 09:44 CST, 21 November 2012 - iMsg
Nexuiz, the other fast-paced deathmatch game of 2012, released a big update yesterday which among other things included two big improvements for competitive play: the Duel mode DLC has been made free, and a new UGLY mode to give you picmip style performance over shiny graphics.

Also in yesterday's update: added support for up to 32 players, three new levels and STUPID mode for benchmarking with DX 11 and uncompressed textures.

The ESL have partnered with Illfonic, the small studio behind the game, to host a series of prize winning cups and help them gather more feedback on how to make the game better. They have been working hard on improving the game since it's release in May. More details will be announced soon.

Their aim is to bring deathmatch back into the spotlight, with a fast, fun and visually attractive game built on the latest CryENGINE 3.

A demo is now available on Steam, giving you the full game for 30 minutes a day.

MAME Player won Donkey Kong Tournament (16 comments)
Posted by Badb0y @ 08:19 CST, 21 November 2012 - iMsg
On the weekend a Classic Arcade Tournament with Donkey Kong was held in Denver. DK is a simple looking game but hard to master. An average beginner overlives one minute on the first screen. The game has four different screens (barrel, pie, elevator, rivet) and that was a sensation at the release in 1982. What the game makes so hard is to control barrels (barrel controling with randomness) and avoid the unpredictable flame patterns.

Since the movie documentary 'King of Kong' (wiki, imdb, movie on youtube) from 2007 was released the game got a new attraction. Since then the gamestyle has changed because it was discovered that the game has a kill screen aka end screen (youtube) and new players started playing because of the popular movie. The goal is to hit a new worldrecord. For a new highscore a good strategy is needed, and luck. DK Experts believe a score between 1,2 - 1,4 million points is possible. To do a perfect DK game the kill screen must be seen. This happens at the start of Level 22. Normaly the points of this kind of game are between 900.000 and 1 million and the game length is around 2,5 hours.

These new DK players that started about three years ago, are PC MAME players using mostly keyboard. The winner of the Kong Off 2 Tournament is Jeff Willms, coming directly from MAME. According to donkeykongblog, Willms never played before on a arcade machine and could adapt to the arcade controls. The worldrecord highscore wasnt touched this time, but the tournament got many kill screens so that alone is history.

Sidenote: If you wanna found out about the "first progamers" check out another documentary called 'Chasing Ghosts: Beyond the Arcade' on youtube. It didnt end well.

Excello.net looking for Active Admins (3 comments)
Posted by ShadyVoltaire @ 18:13 CST, 20 November 2012 - iMsg
If anyone is not familiar with Excello, they are a fairly oldschool gaming organisation. Think of a a successful 2000s team or player in Quake3/4/Live, SC:BW, FIFA or any other popular eSports title, and rest assured you could be thinking of players winning tournaments under an xlo^ tag.

What many people are unaware of at the moment, is that Excello is also giving back to the roots of the community in the form of a ladder/matchmaking system. Anybody from any game can register on the Execello webiste, and create a tournament with the versatile admin tools.

Not only that, but at the moment, Excello is in a partnership with ZOWIE GEAR to give exciting prizes and increase competition in popular e-sports titles. You might recall this Saturday's ZOWIE Quake Live tournament (which will become a regular series after DreamHack), well this is where you come in: Excello is looking for pro-active and talented individuals for administration purposes.

In order to better understand the demand and being able to provide the best settings for the cups, we are going to test a new format for the Quake Live Daily Cups. In a nutshell, we increased the rank-caps to levels 4, 6, 8 and 10, and removed the free-account map pool from the lowest level. More details below.

During this week, we will monitor the participation and gather further feedback. If you have suggestions for the format, or any other related idea, feel free to post.

DHW: Quake Live Groups! (141 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 16:34 CST, 15 November 2012 - iMsg
After the show tonight with The GD Studio hosted by United Kingdom 2GD and Belgium Trance we now have the groups for the DreamHack Kingston HyperX Quake Live Tournament.

Unfortunately Poland STING dropped out last minute and we haven't been able to replace him yet. If you want to play contact either blazeh or slayzah in mIRC #DreamHack.Quake or send a mail to esport@dreamhack.se.

Also since STING dropped out we remade the seeds slightly. Sweden empish was moved to mid seed and the player missing is down in low seed.

So, as usual, please leave your thoughts on the groups below! Is there a group of death? Is any group more interesting then another?

Update: Last spot has been filled by Sweden Snapphanen.
Update 2: Poland matr0x unfortunately dropped out of the tournament. He will be replaced by Sweden DRz.bat4dead.
