Season 4 of HoQ CTF 4v4 is about to start, and this season we're going to do something radical. Something insane. Something Jolt did years ago.

Maps are now going to be fixed for each round, and will be drawn from a wider pool than the usual 5 maps. This allows us to introduce new maps properly, giving them a real chance to get established in the competitive scene, PCWs and pickups included.

The next line of CPM duel cups has just been conceived by Mexico Memphis and Poland ShadyAK! We'd like to invite all interested parties to our new line of tournaments, the CPM FIGHTCLUB series, starting with our duel opener scheduled on the Sunday 9th September 2012. Coverage will be provided by NoProblemTV (basically the rebranded PNS-TV) with exactly the same plan as the last one, with guest appearances by stars of CPM, post-match analysis by the big boys of CPM, and interviews with key players as the tournament progresses! With entik recently announcing a demo roll call for The Contenders 3, this could be a perfect time to create some egd demos and send them in! Sign up now!

ClanBase has recently started its cup signups for the Fall Season. The signups will stay open till the 16th of September and will include:


The Cup rules have been published and can be found under each Cup's menu. Furthermore, we are currently looking for people who are interested in helping out with the cups in terms of refereeing as well as providing coverage.

Duel is the most played competitive gamemode in Xonotic and it needs new maps! With the kind support of MaverickServers, eSports Republic, Sapphire and the Xonotic community, Germany Asyyy and Serbia ZeroQL are hosting a duel mapping contest.

The contest will start on 1st September and run for 12 weeks until 1st December. Judging will occur for 1 week after.

First prize: Sapphire HD 7750 1GB GDDR5 OC Edition

Today we, the Q2 scene, present to you a new and latest released frag movie. This is definitely one of the best and perhaps THE best Quake 2 Frag-movie that you will ever see. This movie was supposed to be released in 2005 (Trailer) and now after more than six years, here it is.
The movie is about the Poland Armia Krajowa clan which is one of the best polish clans back in the days and maybe one of the best clans around in that time,here is a note from them about this release :

"We would be very pleased if you let know all your inactive q2 buddies about this release. The movie was supposed to be finished and published in sprint of 2005. Now, after more than six years, we guess we owe them a few frags. Armia Krajowa."


The movie is a little long but it is not boring at all. The sound track is really nice which suits the movie pretty well. The frags are awesome with insane air-rockets and amazing rail-shots and let's not forget the old-school grenade frags which are always a pleasure to see. This is not The Final Act, this is definitely The Final Art.

Well the time has come the Blood Run is in da house!! So grab your Rocket Launcher and your Rail Gun, and lets see some oldschool vs newschool fragging. Just a REMINDER it is on a Thursday !!!

This event starts at 20:00 CDT with check-in starting at 19:00 CDT, and is first-come first-serve, anyone who checks in will get to play we will just increase the bracket size.

Anyone who doesn't have premium or pro don't worry we can spawn a server for you and your opponent if neither of you have it! I would prefer to see all matches played on private servers with passwords in order to not have any disruptions!

Tired of getting owned by people with a higher Elo then you? Can’t quite get your foot in the door for the big cups? Then this is the cup for you!

There will be a cup each week, so we need a different winner for each! At the end of 4 weeks (Sept. 16th) we will be having a "Step it Up Duel Master Finals" event, where prior first- and second-place winners will be placed in a Bo5 single-elimination bracket!


Congratulations to madrigal for winning the first ever "Step It Up" Cup! Lunat1c_ will be taking his place in the Grand finals, as madrigal will be on holiday that weekend. Lunat1c_ vs ins will be played before the semi finals for our David vs Goliath match up.

You MUST have an ELO rank of under 1500. (Check it Here at qlranks.com/)

You also must have at least 40-50 duels on your Quake-Live account!

It will work like this!

16 players (If we get that many to sign up)
BO3 until semi-finals then Bo5.

Map Pool:
ztn, dm6 (added for non prem users), t7,hub, tox, dm13

Map Selection:
toss toss pick pick then flip for tie breaker

Now, we will have one each week.
The winner from the previous week cannot play.
We need a different winner each week!
At the end of 4 weeks.
We will be having a “Step it Up Duel Master Finals”
Where you will be placed in a Bo5 single elimination bracket with the other players according to elo.

Moscow Quake LAN Party Cups happen twice a year - in winter and summer. Finally, at the end of this summer, the godfather of this series Russia Zubich (with the help of Russia baSe) announced another cup. This time the official disciplines are QL Duel and QL TDM 2v2, also followed by unofficial QL CA & CPM CA competitions and probably some QL TDM/CTF 4v4 show matches. The location has also been changed; this time the LAN will be played in one of the most oldschool Internet cafes: PlayGround.

Date: 03:00 CDT, 25 August 2012 (probably delayed as always though :D)
Prizes: Nothing serious, since this is more of a fun LAN than a serious competition.
