CPM TDM Draft (13 comments)

The upcoming TDM Draft Cup will be split into two portions, a draft, and a cup. These events will take place on separate weekends with the draft scheduled for next Sunday and the cup taking place the following Saturday. We're hoping the week in between gives players an opportunity to practice and/or figure out how to play with their team mates.

The Draft

The draft will take place on Sunday February 11, 2018 starting at 12:00 CDT. Captains will be selected from the pool of registered players and the captains will then pick out their teams. The players are not required to be live during the draft but they will be contacted before the draft to ensure that they will be available for the cup, which takes place the weekend following the draft.

Players can register to the draft by joining the

CPMA Discord and messaging

xero to register. When registering please provide the following information:

• TDM Experience.
• Preferred role: Captain, Carry, Support, Coach.

Once registered players will be recorded into a public player list, and can be asked to removed at any point up to the draft. We're hoping to get eight teams so we need at least 32 players to register!

The Cup

The cup will be played on Saturday February 17, 2018 starting at 10:00 CDT. The format will depend on the number or registered teams and if there four teams or less, we will employ a round-robin system where points are awarded to map wins. If we get more than four teams than utilize a double elimination format, with a BO3 upper bracket, a BO1 lower bracket, with a BO3 lower bracket final, and BO3 grand final.

We will be using a ban, ban, pick, pick, ban, ban system in the upper bracket and the lower bracket games will be six straight drops (three (3) per team).

Maps: avrdm1b, cpm4, cpm18r, cpm21, cpm26, cpm27 & osp5.

The event will be streamed live on

Since Xonotic doesn't seem to have much of a presence on ESR, I thought you might enjoy this movie I made a while ago on here. It's a combination of Xonotic's grappling hook, and the traditional concept of defrag :)

Many of these times have been beaten by now, but I still look back upon this movie fondly.

Mirror - Contains the movie, some outtakes and some screenshots / color grade comparisons. 1080p60fps because the source footage had to be recorded through Shadowplay (because of Xonotic's technical limitations).

Want to star in a fresh community movie? Well here is your chance!

Long live the King is a project that is planned to ship ready before summer ends 2018, and hopefully be around 10 - 20 minutes pure carnage. This of course depends heavily on how much content gets sent in.

All demos from all modes are welcome: frags, happenings, tricks, funny moments, comebacks, killstreaks, rail hit counters on afk's etc. Note that the actions will be prioritated depending on the entertainment quality of the action, so the more uncommon your submission is, the more likely is it to be highlighted.
All players no matter what skill are welcome to submit demos, except cheaters and statswhores for obvious reasons.

The style of the movie will be a clean edit with minimal cameras and special effects, but with raw elements such as gore and powerful music, (read alternative metal).

The demos may be in whatever format current and older versions WolfcamQL can support.
You may submit as many demos as you wish, but as my intention is to not dedicate this movie to a certain player most of your demos are not going to be used.

If it's not specified in the demo, please write what playermodel and in-game name you want to be displayed with, (letters and numbers only, no special characters except underline "_").
