Doombringer is a game project aimed to create a single player game experience with inspirations taken from (though not exclusively) predominantly two sources of previous games. Quake Live and Doom 2. The game aims to be an amalgamation of the best things from both games, thus creating a chaotic and crazy, but most importantly of all, FUN action/strategy FPS game.

New in v0.19 2017-11-04

While the new 0.19 version is bringing a fair bit of polish, with previously missing features such as follow killer and powerup for spectators and callvote kick for the odd time someone needs to be shown the door. The main new features to look out for is how the game changed how to deal with first spawn and respawning players in general as well as a few new powerups, to give a bit of color to deathmatch in general.

Spawning and Respawn:
As the game counts down, players will be spawned at their locations, while still able to look around they won't be able to move until the match starts properly. Letting them plan ahead for their game. Make a plan for where they will go first. And in some cases also spot where the opposing player(s) have spawned.
When fragged, the player will be moved to their next spawn point as they are made able to respawn and there they will get a spy cam on where they will spawn and what is happening at that location. At this moment you have 3 seconds to chose when to spawn before the game does it for you.

Powerups:
The game now has a few more powerups that you may not commonly see in AFPS games like these.
Chaos Sphere, Berserker Sphere and Leach Sphere. A fair disclaimer though. These are quite potent powerups, and potentially (probably) they could be a bit overpowered. But for the time being, they are what they are. Since testing them should be fun regardless.

Chaos Sphere:
This powerup makes your weapons fire 3x as many shots spread in an 45degree arc from your POV.

Berserker Sphere:
This powerup makes you only have fists. But with the added bonus of them having an AOE exploding attack on contact. You also have the benefit of a battlesuit to make you survive a bit longer. Because explosions hurt.

Leach Sphere:
This powerup makes you recieve 100% of all you deal to an enemy damage back to you. It's quite potent, you can overcharge your health way past your ordinary max.

Game: Made Berserker powerup more useful by having it be an exploding attack rather than the previous quadded fists.
Game: Added leach powerup - 100% vampiric damage, no upper limit on how much health you can leach. (probably overpowered, but fun)
Game: Added spread fire powerup - Fire 3 shots instead of 1 in a cone of 45 degrees from the player weapon.
Game: Completely removed residue of invisibility powerup.
Game: Made FFA wins also add to the player's win score. eventually to show up in the scoreboard too.

Client: Made player model show up in mirrors.
Client: Added player avatars (duel only so far).

Changes on 2017-10-09

• Fixed an issue where config values that requires a vid_restart were not set correctly after a client restart. The values would only show up as "latched" values and requiring another manual vid_restart after launching the client. Examples of affected commands could be resolution and gl_no24bits. Fixing this makes for a less broken experience. (Thanks to Meag for hinting that wait commands in autoexec.cfg may be the issue)
  
• Removed HUD config execution in triggers on_enter, on_enter_ffa, on_enter_ctf and on_spec_enter and also removed the vid_vsync toggling when going spectator. The config execution removal should also lead to a less broken experience. There are still game mode specific configs triggered that overrides some keys though, i'm tempted to remove those as well.
  
• Added a HUD element between the armor and health bars showing the equipped weapon and its ammo. This is for improved visibility which is extra important when running out of ammo, which was not so visible before. (Old version and new version)
  
• Slight adjustment to the score elements of the HUD so they don't overlap with health bar in 1024x768.
  
• Disabled cl_weaponhide and cl_weaponpreselect. I guess this is a bit of my personal taste but i just think it's confusing for new players and veterans don't seem to use them anyway (they use custom scripts). Weaponpreselect also gets a bit odd with the new current weapon HUD item as it's possible to "preselect" a weapon you haven't picked up yet, resulting in the HUD element showing no gun icon and only the ammo count.
  
• Changed default crosshairimage from 3 to 1. (3 wouldn't display anything in 1024x768)
  
• Updated the readme with mainly information about Discord instead of IRC and updated dead links (qtv.quakeworld.nu instead of quakeworld.tv and also mentioning badplace.eu for server/qtv purposes)

You cannot pick the same map during one round. All the maps should be different during the match.

1st map per rounds (WB and LB):
1st round Blood Covenant, 2nd round Blood Run, 3rd round Corrupted Keep, 4th round Ruins of Sarnath, 5th round Blood Covenant, 6th round Blood Run etc etc
PrizePool: 1st 2000 RUB; 2nd 1000 RUB.
Rules:Full Double Elimination, Winner Bracket: BO1 till the quarter final (1/4), BO3 WB 1/4, WB semi, WB final and Grandfinal (two BO3 if it will be needed); Low Bracket: BO1 all matches (including LB final).

There are few things new players should make sure to remember when applying for House of Quake:
1. All players should double check if their SteamID is entered for Quake Live.
2. Clan leaders, after creating clan, must create squad and add players from clan to that particular squad.

Failure to follow any of these instructions will result in your team not being able to join the league.
