Finding the best CSGO gambling sites in 2019 is not that easy. CSGO gambling has had a chequered past to say the least, with many sites being shut down and penalised because of illegal activity.

There is clearly a demand among some Counter-Strike lovers to bet on their favourite game but for the sector to be sustainable long-term, CSGO gambling sites must comply with the laws - primarily for the safety and security of esports fans but also for the sake of themselves.

Translation of mail.ru's interview with Na'Vi Cooller (47 comments)
Posted by Nukm @ 14:11 CDT, 1 October 2017 - iMsg
World's best Quake player shared his impressions about the game and offered some ideas about improving tournament process and gameplay. Russia Anton "Cooller" Singov - one of the most decorated and strongest Quake players in the world. In recently released Quake Champions Singov has already won several tournaments and made it to Top 3 in recent QuakeCon. We took an interview with Anton during "Moscow Championship" where he took 1st place.

What has been the best match of your career?

Cooller: Hmm (thoughtful). That wasn't Quake, it was Overwatch. DreamHack Winter 2016, one year ago. I was in the team Misfits and we won the final vs FNATIC. Back then emotions overwhelmed me, that was unforgettable. A huge event in my career. Before that I wasn't winning anything for quite some time.

What we love and hate about Quake Champions (47 comments)
Posted by cumrag @ 18:11 CDT, 25 September 2017 - iMsg
One month ago, Quake Champions entered Early Access on Steam and Bethesda's platform. Right after launch, id ran the Quake World Championships at QuakeCon, a debut tournament. James and Evan share their thoughts on the somewhat unusual return of the FPS classic.

Some quotes:
Evan: James, my feelings for Quake Champions are complex and contradictory.

johann jensson: Do you mean ambient light? I agree.

Gonzo: does it have the BFG yet? if not its not quake yet

MadmanEpic: Honestly, I just think that UT4 is the better revival.

RIP Aaron "DemonSphere" Emge (19 comments)
Posted by writhe @ 14:05 CDT, 25 September 2017 - iMsg
It is with tremendous pain that I inform you that Doom community pillar and Quakecon veteran United States of America Aaron "DemonSphere" Emge passed away early on the morning of September 24th, 2017.

Aaron was a legend in the Doom community and he will be sorely missed. Many here know he was also a gifted Quake and Quake Champions player

Aaron recently placed in the Quakecon DOOM 2v2 with fellow UniDoom member United States of America Wartorn. I had the chance to meet him at Quakecon 2013 for the 20th anniversary Doom II tournament; where he whooped my ass, made me a better player, and a better person.

Love you Aaron
Rest In Peace my Friend

to quote Ralphis:
"For anyone struggling with depression, know that you are loved - by your family and friends. Please never give up - this is a mistake that you won't have an opportunity to regret. In the United States, there is a free suicide prevention line at 1-800-273-8255."

UPDATE: Aaron's death has officially been ruled accidental.

Vo0 on QuakeCon, Quake Champions and and being a pro at 32 (69 comments)

Vo0 on his runner-up finish at QuakeCon, Quake Champions and being a pro at 32

QuakeCon 2017’s annual duel championship saw the return to competition for many of Quake’s past greats. Of all the veterans, however, the one whose ID shone the brightest throughout the main event was Sander “Vo0” Kaasjager’s, the runner-up whose only losses came at the hand of the 19-years old Belarusian phenom and an eventual champion, clawz. At the age of 32, regular people may think of cutting back on gaming, both as a recreational and and a competitive activity, due to either real life obligations or other interests. Vo0 isn’t one of those people. For him -- the best Painkiller player in the world, back in the distant 2004 and 2005 -- the release of Quake Champions and the increased prize pools presented a perfect opportunity to get back into the active side of competition and once again feel the thrills of high-stakes on-stage play.

Several weeks after his second place finish, we had the opportunity to catch up with him and ask some questions regarding QuakeCon, Quake Champions and what does being a professional gamer at 32 mean for one’s life.

You can read the interview on Inven Global, but here's a short excerpt.

In the two European qualifiers, you actually got to play several players from the CIS region's second tier whom we get to see only online, most of the time. How did they compare to the players you got to meet in the group stage and the earlier rounds of the playoffs at QuakeCon?

I did play a lot against some CIS players, and they are quite good. Comparing online results to LAN results is challenging, however, because some people are more comfortable at home than they are at an event. My group consisted of whaz, Steej and clawz. Whaz was at least as good as these CIS players, but I think Steej had some trouble adapting to my style. He did not handle my Anarki well on Corrupted Keep and Sorlag on Blood Run too well. The Australian scene is quite small compared to the European scene so we get to play many more playstyles.

In general, I think the scene in Europe is incredibly competitive. I predicted that the EU Regional qualifier would probably be tougher than the actual event itself, which is (for me anyway) kind of what happened.

If you want to keep tabs on all my future content you can do so by following me on twitter at @RadoNonfire. Hope you enjoy and feel welcome to let me know your thoughts on the interview!

Moscow Cybersport Championship (4 comments)
Posted by iavoal @ 03:00 CDT, 24 September 2017 - iMsg
For those of us who missed it (as i did aswell).

Moscow Cybersport Championship took place yesterday, the 23th of september, in Cyberspace Arena. Organized by the Moscow Federation of Computer Sport. Featured QC.
Mode - Duel.
Format - Single elimination.
Notorious participants - Cooller, Base, Nitrino, Inz, Undead, H8M3, Butcher.

The prizepool was more or less symbolical - 20 000 rub for the 1st place and thats it. But the top 3 got some prizes from the sponsors.

But judging by the quality of stream, it was pretty decent organized, at least better than the QCON. Especially liked the HUD.

See how it was in brackets

Or see VOD.

HF.

If somebody of the participants will tell us how it was, would be great. H8M3, maybe?
