Group A:
BelgiumImpulse, BelgiumgoX, BelgiumSDSR|fiction

Group B:
Belgiumsensation, Belgiumdj Hell, Belgiumgladius

Final Standings

These are the four remaining players for the lan finals in the Antwerp Esports Festival held at 25-26-27 of july.

It was a shame only six players showed up after all the effort me and the other people from gamelux made of it. But I was very pleased with the six people who showed up did the best they could to secure these four spots for the lan finals.

Vo0 going to ESWC Grand Finals (208 comments)
Posted by Ins0mnia @ 01:34 CDT, 13 June 2008 - iMsg
Last weekend the Dutch ESWC qualifier in Quake 3 Arena has been played. With an exciting finale from Sander "Vo0" Kaasjager versus Lemmy "If-22" de Groot, in which IF-22 came out as the superior player.

How ever, the ESWC was so thrilled about the final, they decided that Vo0 should also be given a chance to ESWC USA. So there for they given the second spot also a ticket for the grand finales. Even thought Vo0 has to pay up his own trip.

Ofcourse not everybody is happy with this, because Ivo 'Forever' Lindhout states on GameLux that this is just not a fair way to distribute prizes. (The news hub of WSquared). How ever Forever did not attent the event. Because he didn't know there was a second prize.

Here is a part translated, quoted and cutted from what he had to say:

As since we of ESreality do care about our users and their public opinion. We have also made a poll about it. You can just vote here.

ESWC Belgium announced (36 comments)
Posted by dfb @ 14:23 CDT, 8 June 2008 - iMsg
Scheduled: 02:00 CDT, 25 July 2008 to 14:00 CDT, 25 July 2008
Schedule: Passed

Belgium Belgian based gaming organisation Gamevibes and Belgian gaming team LowLandLions announce the qualifications for the Belgian eswc ESWC delegation.

The two games that will be played happen to be the two games that kicked off professional gaming for most people: cs Counter-strike 1.6 and Quake 3 Quake3. 24 teams and 32 players will have the chance to qualify for the prestigious LAN finals at the Antwerp E-sports Festival on the 25th of July . The Antwerp eSports Festival, the setting for the Belgian qualifier, is the new 50,000 € tournament organized by Gamevibes in the Hilton in Antwerp.
The online qualifiers will be played on the 21st and 28th of June. The best four counter-strike 1.6 teams and the best four Quake3 players will then battle it out at the AEF in hopes of defending the Belgian colours in San Jose, California. This is where the ESWC grand finals will be played this year, a major change from previous years as the finals were always in France.

Registering for the qualifiers has never been easier. All you need is a Gamevibes ID which grants you access to the AEF and TEK9 website and ultimately ESWC glory! Head on down to www.tek-9.org/eswc and get yourself registered!
