The 37th ZOTAC QL Duel Cup will be played this Sunday. As usual it will consist of SE brackets using the bo1 format until the quarter finals. Then the games will be played as bo3 with the exception of the Final being played as bo5. The prize still is 100€ for 1st place!

The DreamHack Summer 2010 is taking place this weekend in

Jönköping. This big LAN event will host the first big international Quakelive tournament of the summer with the Kaspersky QUAKE LIVE Championships. The competition will be played through a Group stage of 4 groups (bo3) and a Direct Elimination Bracket (bo5) starting with Quarter-finals.

A few streams will be available to follow the Quakelive matches on LevelupTV (HQ + LQ) or even on

GameSports.de. Also

James "2GD" Harding will team up with LevelupTV to bring live commentaries for some Quake matches and interviews with the players!

Alexey "Cypher" Yanushevsky began his trip to DreamHack Summer 2010 this Wednesday, when he departed from Minsk in a train to Warsaw, where he was picked up by his friend and clanmate,

Maciej "av3k" Krzykowski. During Cypher's short stay in the Polish capital city, we filmed an interview in which he discuses a number of things, such as his attitude towards Quake Live, the e-sports scene in Belarus, as well as his expectations of the upcoming DreamHack and ESWC tournaments. After successful Amateur Night, ESH admins decided that for this week they`ll host another Amateur Night to give the amateurs that missed out on ONW #5 another chance to participate and to qualify for the ESH QL: Amateur Cup.
ESH QL ONW #6: Amateur Night 2 is scheduled for Thursday 13:00 CDT, 17 June 2010 with signups open.

Finally the wait is over, the last two invites for the ArchaicMSI Quakecon Draft have been won by

Matthew "xcope" Leeroy and

Pablo "Pablo" Godinez

The tournament has been all the talk for the Oceanic community for the past 4 weeks and everybody is excited to see the final 12 players one of which will be representing us overseas at Quakecon 2010. Unfortunately

Andrew "Python" Chacha is not as interested as he once was to compete international and has nobly stepped aside for a new player to be birthed from this tournament.

We still wait hopeful the Australian servers will get back online in time despite promises of a 48 hour fix. Who knows what the future will hold for our Western and Southern players in the competition, unfortunately the show must go on...

The Group Stage of the ASUS ENC 2010 Quakelive TDM should see its 4th round mostly played tonight with the rest of the Group A matches and the first games from Group B. The ESL TV Quakelive show should be back tonight to cover Hungary vs Russian Federation, but the commentators haven't been announced. Here is the complete schedule for this 4th round:

ESH Quake Live: Amateur Cup (3 comments)

Top 4 players from each of Amateur Night tournaments (4 of them) will qualify themselves for Amateur Cup which will be 16-players playoff bracket with prizes included (prizes will be announced in the weeks to follow).

Pro`s won`t be allowed and all players who wish to participate will have to enter their PlayerIDs before they will be allowed to participate in any of these cups.

ZOTAC Hall of Fame will be used once again to show which players are not allowed to participate, so they wouldn't bother signing up. All players that finished in top 4 in any of these cups won't be allowed. Of course some others might not be allowed as well if admins feel they are too strong for this tourney.
Of course needless to say is that fake-nicking won't be allowed and all players that shouldn't be allowed but play under the different nick will be banned from ESH if spotted.

Also players that qualified won`t be eligible to play in the next Qualifier cups.

Congratulations to Shannon "zpnq" Hall on winning the final Qcon Qualifier (VODs). Fortunate for Guy "HANZ" Hampton on losing to every single player that went on to win a qualifying spot in the tournament, has been rewarded with his own as an Invite. He joins Matthew "Haymo" Hayman who also received an invite for his decent recent performance in the CyberGamer ACER LAN tournament.

It all plays down to one final spot in which a competition will be held on this Wednesday for a select few players We are also still looking forward to hopefully seeing our missing servers back online soon

The last qualifier for Kasperskys Quake Live Championship at Dreamhack Summer 2010 was finished this weekend.

fox managed to pick up the spot for the tournament in a convincing way beating players like

bodzo and

fooki to secure his spot.

ESH present Quake Live ONW #5: Amateur Night cup. Since QL Duel scene became stale with few players dominating all the others, ESH decided to let the amateurs get their chance to play without being owned by pros from the beginning.

Admins will have the right to deny the players who they think should not be eligible to play skill-wise, but to give you some clue which players will be allowed and which not, take a look at ZOTAC Hall of Fame. All players that finished in top 3 in any of these cups won't be allowed. Of course some others might not be allowed as well if admins feel they are too strong for this tourney.
